Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

Real crumpets being

I've never met anybody that doesn't like them.
Oh yeah, well of these I know, and yes, while they are not big in the states, they are mighty tasty, however (see below)

yeah, crumpet is also a british term for...a woman you'd like to...you know...but in today's modern times of equality, can also apply to an attractive man - "a nice bit of crumpet"! But I think Sunflower was talking about REAL crumpets because she does like eating them!

I can never resist a bit of innuendo when the opportunity arises, so yes, if we can use something as a euphemistic bit of perviness... I'm all for it.

If I could somehow combine sex and crumpets I'd be the happiest woman alive!

Cabbie: Thanks for reminding me about slimming world--Will look into it for sure. Need the extra bit of support right now I think before my crumpet addiction gets out of control! Warm, buttery goodness! :willy_nilly:

Zera: You are more than welcome for the support my darling--Glad to see you still posting and keeping positive! Thank you for all the lovely compliments. My height certainly helps make me look less like Shamu ze whale.

Lazy day at home in bed today.

Hey :)

I hope the wine abstinence goes to plan - I need to kick out my chocolate habit.

I'd like to try weight watchers, for the extra support/motivation, but I don't think I could afford it!

Anyway my main point was that you seem to have got yourself a similar man to myself - my boyfriend is a beardy long haired gentleman too :)

Have a lovely weekend and hope your flu goes away! x

Awh, Thanks Holly!

Weight Watchers is like £5.50 a week so it's pretty expensive and it gets pretty samey after a while but it was still good having the motivation of getting weighed in front of everyone.

Beardy, long-haired men are the best!!!

Have a lovely weekend darlin :) xxx

So, I'm being a domestic goddess and making a chicken casserole for dinner :)

Using my slow cooker that I got about 4 years ago and have never used before!

I'm using:

500g of "healthy living" diced chicken.
One potato diced up.
2 carrots.
Lots of peas, broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms.
2 oxo cubes for stock and some flour to thicken it.
1 cup of rice.

So it's 225 for my portion of the chicken as it's a healthy living sort which is lower in calories, 60 for my half of the potato, 50 for my veg and 205 for a cup of white rice :D

YUM YUMMM. Will be lovely, I hope. Using my new spice rack to make it even more yummy as well! Slow cooker takes 3-8 hours (nice and vague) so not sure when i'll be able to eat it though!

oooh I love a man with a bit of a beard!!! You can keep the long haired ones and I'll have the short haired ones!! Its funny, there can be a guy that I've never looked twice at, he'll come in one day with a bit of a beard and I'll be like H-E-L-L-Oooooo!!

The slow cook chook sounds very nice Sunflower!

"My height certainly helps make me look less like Shamu ze whale." Lol lucky girl. Try being 5'3" and lugging around 160 pounds. I feel like a hobbit straight out of the shire. You may address me as Mrs. Samwise Gamgee.

Good for you for sticking to healthy meals while you are sick. Feeding yourself yummy and nutritious food will help you get better sooner.

Since you are being a domestic goddess today one last libation couldn't hurt. :cheers2:

A few comments;

I just went back and reread. You're 5' 11", damn.. where were girls like you when I was single? I'm like 6' 7" lol, (okay my wife would kill me for that comment, she's 5' 4").

Slow cookers rock! We use ours probably once a week or so. Set something up and just let it go all day. Apple season around here. We make applesauce in it with cinnamon, the whole house smells amazing.

So Zera, should we call you Rosie Cotton? Sorry, my inner geek... Your post had me laughing though.

And last but not least... umm... I have a beard...:leaving:

Haha I'm exactly the same!! love a man with stubble, infact i bought my boyfriend a beard trimmer so he never shaves his beard off ever again :p (that and he looks like he is about 15 years old when he shaves haha!)

and slow cookers are AWESOME sunflower, there are a lot of good starters here in Aus, all you need to add is the packet of spices and then add meat and veg and water... leave it for 5 hours and its done, i use mine a lot in winter :) makes super yummy dishes, especially curries!!

heheh beards rock! Nice one Cabbie!! Beards when they start getting little flecks of grey are even better!

God, I've just had a thought...if Mr X turned up with stubble or a beard I think my eyes would explode and I would be incapable of any form of intelligible speech.

Sunflower, 5 11 is nicely tall - I wish I was a bit taller. I'm not quite hobbit territory (you have my sympathies Zera - petite is great but if you are trying to lose weight, being taller seems to make the whole thing more progressive from a distribution of weight sort of thing). 5-6 here so kind of average.

I just saw your pictures... And said to Martin (my boyfriend), Sunflowers boyfriend reminds me of you.. He has a gingery beard and long hair!
Its so weird!

If we have an English WLF meet up the boyfs have to come :p

Edited to say I hate the word boyfs but I thnk it looks cool written down :p

Zera, I'd love to be short to see what it's like. I tend to feel like an Amazon Woman even on my "thin" days and think shorter people always look more delicate. My boyfriend is like an inch shorter than me and I'd love to be able to be picked up and cuddled and miss that "protected" feeling that having a tall man gives you! Although think Miss jjjay's height would be a good compromise!

On that note...;) Cabbie, 6'7?! Jeeeeeeeez, that's awesome! Bet the ladies love you! Also: going to buy apples and try making apple sauce tomorrow but will probably fail awesomely as I genuinely fail at cooking.

Beards make me melt. Apart from when you shave too short and then it's less melty and more itchy. :nopity:

Piggy: Boys will def come to meet! Although think yank is sick to death of hearing me count calories. I'm horrible at maths (even adding up) so ring him 24/7 being like "Right: GO--301 + 99 +65. What's that? WHAT'S THATTTTT?!

Finished the day on about 1200 yesterday :D

Breakfast: hula hoops! (128)
Lunch: 2 crumpets (160)
Dinner:
Snacks: 2 squares of choc (50)

Total:

Was sick again this morning--don't know whats up with me at the moment. Stomach flu maybe?

Going to the Airport in Southampton tonight to keep a friend company (all night!) until her flight at like 7 tomorrow morning so going to be hard to avoid the junk I think! Will eat a WW meal for dinner I think so that I have lots of calories to play around with later and I'll pack my own food instead of buying shop shite.

Definitely commendable that you've been able to lose weight despite your busy work schedule. I know that definitely makes things more difficult.

You look great!

Aww well you make a good point there. Nonetheless If I were 5'11 I would walk around in short shorts and flaunt my long legs. I agree jjjay's height is ideal, and thanks for the sympathies btw jjjay lol. :)

Sunflower if you think you may have a stomach flu try taking some probiotics to restore the amounts of healthy bacteria in your gut. Since flu season is right around the corner and you've been feeling sick lately maybe an Echinacea tonic would help too.

It might be hard for you to avoid junk food while at the airport, but try to find healthier alternatives there such as salads or wraps, even a sandwhich with turkey and mustard. You can bring a banana and raw nuts to snack on. If you do end up snacking on some naughty stuff just enjoy the time that you are spending with your friend and don't beat yourself up for it.

Lol Cabbie, sure you can call me Rosie Cotton. I'll be her minus the 13 children she had. Although I bet I do have the child bearing hips for that.

I hear ya. I am 5'8" and my ex was 6'8". I was thin at the time and it was the first time I felt ultra feminine around a guy. It was great... too bad he ended up being a lousy lying cheating scoundrel. I shorter nice guy is better than a taller asshole any day ;-)
