FatPanda doesn't want to be a SadPanda

Hey Adam :)

LOL I promise I will never mention "Gods food" in your journal again. Although I totally had some today :-X Forgive me!

Don't worry about the cheat day. I totallyyyy agree with Bertjo. Cheat days do keep you sane and keep you up on track. I don't have days because I feel insanely guilty but I do have a cheat meal or snack once a week. Today was my cheat meal. :p

Great job on day 13 and getting right back on schedule :) JZ told me it was a sign that shows you're truly dedicated and committed when you get right back on it after a "bad" day. I 100% agree. :)

You'll get through this week. I have faith in you. The first day or two may be tough but by the end of the week, it will be a piece of cake. :)

Keep up the great work, Adam!!!

Man o man, am I tired! Had a real long day today and was stressed out. I didn't get to eat lunch which really sucks, but I still ended up with 1500 calories for the day, although I'm not happy about it.

My bike ride was hell. I was extremely dumb and didn't check the tire pressures before I left. By the time I made it to work(5 miles) I thought I was going to have a cardiac arrest lol. It felt like I was riding up hill the whole time. I was 45lbs low on air. It was really cold outside and the cool air made my lungs burn, but it was weird, like, it felt good. It reminded me what it feels like to be alive.

So all in all, not as bad as I thought it would be, although I'm absolutely exhausted and going to pass out now. Hopefully tomorrow will be kinder now that I have some air in my tires lol.

Hey Adam,

Hang in there buddy. I know what you mean, I'm having one (two) of those weeks as well. Looks like your doing good on the diet though. I haven't gotten to work out this week b/c of working late. Hopefully, I can catch up on my diary over the weekend.

Wow, what a great diary. Hate to sound like a parrot but your diary name is So Great! Your humor is all over in your diary. Oregon sounds like God's country also. I love trees.

Congrats on logging your food and staying on top of calorie count, I find that helps me also. At your weight 1500/day might be too low and it actually might be slowing your weight loss down because your body might be going into conservation mode, but you know how you feel and everyone's different.

Way to go on 8 pounds lost since beginning of November. Imagine, it will be over 10 pounds in one month! You are going to FLY. Yah the restaurant thing would be tough for me in the long run, only because I'm such a weak-minded addictive type personality - lol. But you are doing so well.

Looking forward to reading more from a happy cuddly Panda.

Thanks for the support Bert, it's helpful during this time of year. Realistically for me, it's not going to get any easier from here on out so I have to suck it up and take it on the chin. Christmas season is the absolute busiest time of year at my job so my hours are going to be longer and my breaks shorter. I'm really trying to put together a successful exercise program but it's going to be real tough so I'm going to just keep it simple.

Walk my pooch Eddie(or little panda as i call him) for an hour in the morning and at night(he could use the exercise)
ride my bike to work
Avoid shooting Christmas carolers
Try to work in a situp, squat, push up regimen
Dodge all Christmas fudge, peanut brittle, pinochet, cookies, and food my mom will attempt to force down my gullet.
Avoid shooting customers(Did I mention I'm not very fond of the holiday season)

Seems easy enough right :leaving:....

hey 2skinny thanks for the reply! I wish that was my nickname haaha.

Oregon is an alright place to live if your idea of fun is tying yourself to a tree half-naked in protest of something useless...or If you love green, rain, clouds, and alternative life styles then Oregon is a great place.

I see your from sa.. saka... sakaw... CANADA! I love Canada, the girl of my dreams (ladies read "unobtainable") is from Alberta. Where is sa... saka.. well, you know in relation to Alberta? Hopefully i will visit her next year and be less repulsive (besides, I have a motorcycle and a funny hat, what woman can deny a man with a funn.... MOTORCYCLE????!)

About the calories being too low, to be honest with you, they probably are. The problem is I never see results unless i'm eating less than 1700 calories. It's always been that way, I think I have hypothyroidism but I don't have any money to find out. Either way, I don't feel unnecessarily depleted of energy so I will keep going until I stall. Thanks a lot for the support, it helps.

And onto my diet today, I ate like garbage and felt like it too. I really need to go shopping asap.

Weigh in is tomorrow and I'm nervous that I haven't made my goal but I have no one to blame but myself. I missed 4 nights walking and 3 nights riding my bike. I'm crossing my oversized fingers that I made it though.

Awww you call your dog little panda!! Is he black n white?? =)

For eating crappy..you did go calorie wise tho!

It's okay. I hate the holidays too!

Yeah, here's a picture where he decided to lick my eyeball when I was trying to take a "MYSPACE" photo lol.

ha ha.......great pic......sorry the holidays are so tough for you......I know what you mean about moms......my folks live in Alabama and when we go there for Thanksgiving my mom makes about a gallon and a half of gravy alone, no joking. Fortunately my wifes family doesn't cook that way.....which I didn't used to think was a good thing......:biggrinjester:......do still miss my moms cooking sometime though.

well, i was really busy this weekend so I didn't get time to update my log. I was neck deep in car work again(YAY) except this time it was outside and 34 degrees. The most enjoyable part of working on a car when it's cold out is when you bust your hand on something. I swear to to god it's like one of the most painful things you can do, next to stubbing your toe.

so my diet wasn't that great this weekend since 99% of my time was spent under the car we went for quick food i.e bad food.

Day 18

Breakfast
bowl of cereal 260

Lunch
4 oz turkey 100 calories
1 oz cheese 100 calories
2 pieces wheat 220 calories

Dinner
chicken thighs 552 calories
rice, noodles 300 calories
teriyaki sauce 70 calories

Total 1602 Calories

Day 19

Breakfast
bowl of cereal 260 calories

Lunch/Dinner
Panda express 1300 calories

Total 1560 Calories

So, I have a hard time making healthy choices when pressed for time. This seems to be my biggest problem and the one I'm focusing on the hardest to change. It really is too cold to ride to work lately, I'm a big girl when it comes to cold weather. So I'm going to stick to walking until it warms up.

Hope everyones weekend went better then mine.

What sorta car work? My buddy is building a 1971(i think) Chevy truck from the bottom up, it's niffty!

Look at it this way, riding may be colder BUT it's shorter. Walking might be warmer, but it's longer. So when you get there, you're the same degree cold only it's more noticable with riding. (hey...my logic can work!!)

ahhhhh, I hate the holidays! I haven't had a spare moment at all to update anything and I don't think I'll have anytime until after December :( Sorry everyone that is following my log at all I will do my best to chime in once a week if I can. I haven't even had time to weight myself.

going to bed now, exhausted. thanks for all the support so far.
