Exercise Balls

Hello
I just bought one of those big exercise balls to work out at home. Well, umm, I can't seem to stay on it for long. LOL. I was wondering if anyone else uses them and what do you do on it, such as what kind of exercises? I am planning on buying some free weights buy the end of the week to use with the ball. Any tips, suggestions, advice? Thank you.

i don't have room for one of those balls, but i do like Karen Voight's videos in general...she has something called BLT on a Ball - I'm sure you can get in at half.com for cheap........thee are probably other Ball type videos too, check collagevideo.com....

it sounds like you're talking about a swiss ball, not a medicine ball.. just curious to make sure..

Are ya'll just pulling my chain? :D LOL Anyways, from what I have read they are called either swiss balls, stability balls, exercise balls, or balance balls. They all mean the same thing! LOL This is what I am talking about:

The only thing I use a swiss ball for is crunches. I sit on the edge of the ball, put my knees against the wall at first until I learn to stabilize myself, and do the crunch.

if you're attemting to develop core muscles, in the words of tony the tiger, they're great lol. you can do all sorts of exercises on them that require you to stabalize yourself.. bench press, shoulder press, curls, overhead extensions... although i wouldnt reccomend it every workout because the weight must be lighter, definatly once a week..

alright, i WAS half-teasing, but look at all the replies you got from people who actually know something..............sorry for having fun at your expense.....
