Excited for my weight-loss ctrl-alt-delete! :)

Hey everyone!

I recently deleted my first journal because I have decided to start a new one... I consider the old journal to be a trial-and-error experimentation, because now I feel like I understand all of the requirements to make this work! And I am psyched!

I started the first journal on January 1, and it lasted for two months. At the end of those two months I am back at my 'normal' eating habits (which pretty much consists of not caring at all about what I am eating - and just eating whatever I want), and I am confident enough to report that after the first two months, I am a stable 13 lbs lighter then I was in the beginning of the new year! This is great news, because it has stayed off!

My goal, as stated before, has been to lose 10 lbs a month, for 18 months! This is very possible. At this rate, I am behind 7 lbs for the month of February, but I believe I can make up for this!

Methods: I will actually attempt to count calories for the second shot at the weight-loss lifestyle change! Walking regularly, drinking tons of water, and the whole package of seeing a net-decline in weight. I will also update this minimum once a week, on Mondays!

I am also about to post some "before" pictures -- something i failed to do last time. I weight about 10lbs more in these pictures than I actually do, because I took them in the beginning of the year. But considering that I am 371.7 lbs now, that number is statistically insignificant!

Nevertheless, hope to make new friends, and to hear from my old ones! I love this community, and find it an invaluable tool in my weight-loss journey.

Hey everyone. Week 1 is down of partII of my journey. Not bad, it seems that I am down just a bit. Enough to say that I am back on track! Which is good news. :)

I did have a week full of ups and downs. Notably, I ate very poorly, and exercised a lot! So, even though i am just slightly down, I think that ultimately I am closer to my goal being that I am getting into better shape. Regardless.

Other than that, I don't have much more to say. I am going to try to be better with my diet this week. We will see how that goes.

Anyways, be back soon!

it's great that you feel that your getting back on track, I am looking forward to seeing you make progress towards your goal :)

If there is one thing I've learned: Do NOT go cold turkey on what you love to eat, lol! If I try to give up chocolate, or sweets in general, I'll do amazing for a few days, annnnd then I eff it all up and eat a whole bag of butterfinger eggs or somethin
Great job on working out more often :) it takes a while to get into it, but it all starts workin together after a while!

(-.6) lbs for the past week.

Statistically negligible, yet, I am happy that this is the first time in two months that I have had two consecutive weeks of weight loss!

I will get back to catching up on everyone's diaries soon! But I just had to post an update on this diary, and say to the world -- and myself -- that I am still going! :)

no matter how small a loss is still a loss. Well done on making it two losses in a row :D

Haha, I went to this Japanese guy, and decided to try acupuncture for weight-loss. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try... ..or in this case, just a little :p

But it was weird, he placed a small needle attached to a bandage on my ear, and told me to press that everytime i felt hungry. We'll see how it works. It seems like a clever psychological trick. But if it works, it works. :)

Hello beautiful people!

I have some good news. Even though I can assure you the acupuncture therapy didn't work one bit (as I had completely forgotten about the whole experience by the next morning), I did however continue with my regular weight loss routine. I am happy to inform you that I lost 3.4 lbs, bringing my total weight-loss down to 17.5 lbs.

Second piece of Amazing news: This is the first time that I have had weight loss for three weeks in a row! My previous record was only two weeks :( ...but again, this is a good sign. :D

I have realized that I am eating less and less of the bad food I have been so used to eating. I am avoiding more sodas -- even though I get a craving for a diet-coke every now and then. I have been avoiding fast food much more -- even though I have some now and then... And i've been getting more exercise done than usual. Perhaps not much more, but its a small step in the right direction. :p

Anyways, Will be on the road the next few days, then moving into a new place once I get back.. So i'll get you all updated once I get back.

Thanks Sunflower, and all for the support! :)

hey there...wow, i'm really loving your enthusiasm...i also started at 350+ so kinda know where your coming from. YAY on your 17pound weight loss so far!!!!

yay for three weeks of loss! I think I took about that much time OFF of trying. ish. Hope the move and all goes well :)

Hey everyone!

its been a while since i've really had time to update this page.. but there is some good news!!!

Today's weigh-in was great! another loss. 2.9 lbs, for a total of 19.9!

things are going good..

The move is still chaotic. We moved into an old home, so we are patching holes, tearing out old floors and carpeting, painting, etc, etc.. It's been rough. But it is coming together lovely.

I'm planning some before and after pics, hopefully next week. (for myself, not the house) :)

...wow, my thoughts are all over.. a lot on my mind. Well, just so you guys know i'm still working, fighting to lose weight! Still haven't given up.. And I never will! =D

Hello friends,

I had to post a quick update before the next weight-in. I just wanted to say a few things...

First of all, I became aware how I felt like I was in much better physical shape. I haven't felt the back pain, or joint pain ever after working for many hours. My back didn't feel strained after work, and I can really see the difference in the handling of my body... The best analogy I can make is this: Imagine you have been driving a car with bald tires for a while, so you know you had to take corners real slow, and couldn't stop fast enough, etc... Well, last night I felt like I just noticed someone had installed new tires on my car! :p (if that makes any sense)

Anyways, next weigh-in is Monday! Looking forward to that because I know I am doing really good with watching what I eat lately. It is becoming more and more second nature as time goes by, and it is making it so much easier to watch the scale go down.. I expect another week of weight loss results. :)

And thanks again for all the comments, they really do mean a lot.

PS: The moving in process is still on-going. Because the house was built 50 years ago, we had to tear our old floors, patch holes, paint everything, tear out old carpeting, etc, and so we don't even have a living room or a kitchen set up yet. Which makes it difficult to get on here often. I am in the library now actually. :)

But I have been good with keeping my facebook updated via mobile-web. :p A great addiction sub instead of Doritos! :p

Hello everyone!

There is some great news! This was the fourth consecutive week of weight-loss, a record for me! It was a mere 1.1 lbs loss, but in retrospect, it is great!

I did think it would be a greater loss, but considering that we are still primarily eating out, it is difficult to find healthy food to eat.

The moving in process is still ongoing, but it is considerably faster than what i've heard most people take to move in to a new place... or shall I saw old place that needs to be worked on. We still don't ahve a kitchen done, or living room, or dining room... but things are slowly coming together. For example, just 10 minutes I just got done throwing out the old carpet that was in the living room...

Anyways, I hope things settle down soon.. Thanks again for all the shout-outs! They really do mean a lot!

See you soon!

a.c.

PS: I hope to get a chance to write a bit more thoroughly soon, and to really catch up on the forum... in time, i guess.

Good job you are able to still loose during what must be a stressful situation!!! You are doing great good Luck with the weight in on monday!

Hello dear friends!

Another weigh-in, and I have again avoided seeing the scale go up! So this is great news! Statistically my weight-loss of 0.1 lbs is completely insignificant. But I did have a late dinner last night, and not seeing the scale go up is universally a success for me. :)

The kitcken in the new (old) home, is nearly done! The electricians just finished the outlets, so we can plug in the fridge and I can STOP eating out. (Finally!!!). It has been very difficult and stressful to not be able to prepare your own food at home.

I hope that within the next few weeks I can begin to see a dramatic improvement in my diet and begin to not walk, but run from here on out in my journey of getting into good shape. :)

Also, I hope you all would forgive me for not taking more time to tune into everyones thread postings, but i hope you can understand that things have been hectic.

Will be back soon! :)
