**end of the line**

I am sooooo tired at work, but I'm going to the gym for my lunch break...then it's 400 cals on the elliptical then back to work till 5. then 5:30 till 7 yoga then home.

I think that I should try to make it a manditory habit to sign online after I go to yoga to give myself a booster reminder of why I'm doing what i'm doing. it may be what I need to stay focused...

Wow you are doing so great!!! You've got me wanting to do yoga too now!:)

I with you, I check in when I need to stay focus... if I feel like snacken' I log on and read... I see all you guys dedication and it really gives me a boost.

Hiya F! I love doing yoga, especially the meditation at the end. I can really tell when I've not done it in a while because my brain gets a little scattered. I must remember to do it today, thanks for the reminder!! Have a great Friday!! :D:D

heya wachee, yoga was great and I didn't overeat last night at all!

I have to tell you guys about last night and how it helped me stay motivated, and opened my eyes-because I got an outsider's view of how i've been doing so far...
one of my friends last night was asking me about excersize and health--and I told him i was frankly almost an expert on nutrition due to the research i've done for myself...then I told him of my excersize routine and he asked me how much weight I've lost --I told him 8lbs in 3 months...then he asked me another question " If you've been excersizing and such...why have you only lost 8 lbs" -now he didnt offend me because he put it in a very nice way...but he made me realize that I was putting in so much effort at the gym and freakin out all day about my eating and NOT losing the potentially larger amount I could be-
my answer to him was that I cheated on my healthy eating and went off course--when I thought about it more he is totally right-there's no excuses, I am putting myself through an intense workout almost every day and then throwing it all away by binging. I found a new motivation yesterday-which is the fuel I need to keep going-so....

this weekend I am going bikini shopping-I am going to get that medium bikini size and put it up on the wall to stare me down, I'm going to put a picture of it on my fridge and one on my bf's fridge. I am going to change myself one meal at a time.

sorry for the rant!

FOOD:
B: english muffin 120
L: wonton soup 400
D: sandwich + salad 500

yoga @ 5:30

hey pinky, here:

"The physical differences between Yoga and Pilates derive from their contrasting outlooks. Yoga's approach is holistic, emphasizing balance in all areas - equally strengthening all muscle groups, creating mental and physical balance, encouraging moderation in everything. Pilates mainly works on the core muscles in your trunk (called the powerhouse), and building strength there above all. Yoga, for the most part, involves static poses, which are held while exploring your breathing, physical feelings and emotions. Pilates is about moving in ways that help strengthen your powerhouse, including your stabilizing muscles. Yoga emphasizes flexibility over building strength (although it enhances both), while Pilates emphasizes toning over flexibility (but, again, it enhances both). "

BASICALLY: yoga is better because it works all your muscles...pilates is more for abs mainly =-)

I joined a yoga class at the gym last week. It is harder thatn I though. but I rally like it! You are doing great and I'm glad you got the motivation that you needed!! Have a great day!!:)

What a great idea!!! I might do that to... I have always wanted to wear a cute suit... I do have cute baby tees that I have bought just waiting for the slimmer me. I have pics of the "virtual" me on my fridge, at work and as my desktop! it really does help.

I really like how honest you are with yourself... and on here! I think that you are doing great and will be in that bikini in no time.

Fsaiddni, you're totally right. I'm the opposite (usually); I generally do good with eating, but don't give the exercise my all. That needs to change. I've been bathing suit-shopping myself online. Once I find the right one, I'm hanging it up!

" If you've been excersizing and such...why have you only lost 8 lbs"
You might wanna up your calories as well. from what ive seen you hover around 1000, which is pretty low. Your body may be in starvation mode which wont help you loose any weight :)

Keep up the fantastic work!

i like to start my goal at 1000 cals...but i usually end up adding 50 cals here then an extra tablespoon of ranch gives me 100 ect...until i get to 1200 which is where my actual cals usually lye in a day...

Heya's "FS",
I have only been losing 1-2 lbs a week and I am so
impatient and I eat between 1100-1200 cals and my brother N law
suggested adding 200-300 more to get to 1400-1500 because he thinks
my metabolism is slowing down and it's working on starve mode if I have
a plateu I may try that and that may be your prob to??
Your doing great tho and I would love to get to where you are now.:)
Have a great weekend,Tammy

I found this article It was real interesting basically you calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate) then times it by a number that corresponds with your activity level (since I don't move a lot I used 1.2 :) ) and then you reduce you that amount to lose the weight. Like my # is 1859 they recommend reducing by 500 per day to lose 1lb a week. And thru exercise take off another 500 per day to lose another 1lb a week.

thanx guys, great advice...definitely gunna try anything that mite help!
but....did great yesterday...andd.....FINALLY GOT A BIKINI!!! it looks bad now with my huge thighs and butt, but it will look great in the spring! i am definitely much more motivated staring that thing in the eye...knowing that all it takes for me to lose weight is this simple fact: dont eat at night time after you have had dinner or the max calories you can have in your day...there is no more midnight snacks and no more screw ups thuswise! been good with that for about 3 days now and am expecting something to show up positively on the scale tomoro!--havent got a chance to check my scale today but will do so...p.s.-bought a new digital weight watchers scale--looks awesome!

I am done with being overweight...i believe in myself and I can do it.

That is such a great thing to be able to say!!

You need to print that out - and tape it to your bathroom mirror!!
