Hi!

I began my weight loss journey *officially* on the 30th July when I had my first weigh in. I was 60.2kg. About 2 weeks before that I was 62kg.

My Goals
Weight: 54kg
Weight Loss By: 7 October 2007
Amount to lose in 2 Months: 6.2kg
Weight Loss Per Week to Reach Goal: 0.75kg
Goal Weight Loss Per Week: 1kg

Goal Clothing Size: Comfortable AU8

Goal Features: Slimmer ankles, thighs and upper arms. Toned Belly and a slimmer more defined face.

Fitness Goals
1. Run 5km comfortably by October
2. Finish Point to Pinacle half marathon in November

Fitness Routine​

Exercise AT LEAST 60 minutes a day.

At the gym do AT LEAST 60 minutes of cardio per session.
+ 15 minutes stretching ALWAYS

Days when I dont go to the gym WALK in the morning for 50 minutes

10 minute walk to and from work (uphill on way back)

Go for a weekly run/bike ride with the boyfriend.

Aerobics class on Saturday Morning

Take up a new class each month! Eg. Pump, pilates, yoga, step etc.

Diet Routine

1200-1300 Calories Per Day

I am not too worried about the calories however.. Just basically eating healthy and cutting out all the junk food and crap that I used to eat. I want to eat more leafy greens, complex carbs, soups, lean proteins and healthy fats.

So I will update this every day with what I eat, and record on my weight loss! (hopefully there is some loss).
 
Thursday 9 August​

Breakfast: 2/3 Cup Guardian Cereal + 1/2 Cup Milk
Calories: 190

Snack: Fruit Bun
Calories: 209

Lunch: Minestrone Soup
Calories: 207

Snack: Apple + Two Fantales
Calories: 131

Dinner: Portion of what mum cooks
Calories: MAX 350

Total Calories For Day: 1087

I will probably snack on a few things, that will bring it up to 1200

Exercise: Gym @ 6pm for 60 minutes
Walk to and from Work (25 Minutes)


I REALLY want to stick to this, so I can be under 60kg on Monday!

Breakfast: 1 Piece Toast with Honey
Calories: 173

Stayed home sick from work today! Grrr.. first sick day in 5 months, im not happy!
We don't have anythin healthy to eat here... so not sure what I am going to do for lunch... Getting subway for dinner tonight!

Jumped on the scales this morning :( I shouldnt have, I should have just waited a week and be patient. Was 59.9kg. Under 60! But its just .1kg, I wanted more like 1kg. So hopefully ill be a little less on Monday!
 
Made Weight Watchers mousse (65 calories per serve)

Will eat in one hour once chilled! Its the yummiest stuff ever! And it wont even matter if I eat the two bowls! (only 130 calories).

Im feeling a bit better, might go to the supermarket soon.
 
Saturday:
Had the most UNHEALTHIEST DAY EVER.

2 Servings of WW Mousse WITH ICE CREAM!!!
Legs and Breasts CHIPS WITH GRAVY!
Potato and pumpkin for dinner
AND A SUBWAY COOKIE!

GAWD.

I didnt do much better today.

Sunday 11 August

Breakfast: 1 piece honey toast
1 subway bacon and egg roll

Lunch: Subway 6 Inch

About a pack of skittles :( :( :( and some cashews

its 5:15pm... im not going to eat dinner. Im not hungry and I really dont think I should. I had some cashews at 5pm so I should be OK.

Tomorrow is a new day! Im scared about my weigh in on Monday. I pray I am under 60kg!

Tomorrow I will eat:
Oats for Brekkie
Soup for lunch
A small portion of dinner

And some HEALTHY snacks.

I will also try to go for a swim if I feel well enough and go for a walk.
 
Subway is a great place, I love it. However maybe you could try cooking some food? What made you decide on 1200 calories? Dont you think if you're going to do a half marathon you'll need more energy then that?
 
To me 1200 sounds like a low starting point. Unfortunately I have no idea what you weigh because I follow pounds rather than kg. But it sounds like a number that's not really sustainable, especially with all that exercise you've planned, and one that may end up slowing down your metabolism. I personally would maybe go that low no more than twice a week (I only wish I could go that low but I get too hungry..grrrr). How many calories were you eating in a typical day before you started your plan?

I was out all day yesterday, I thought a low fat subway was a good choice, the other options were bakery food and maccas. I also live at home (im 18), so my mum does all the cooking, although I cook every sunday night and make breakfast instead of paying board.

What made you decide on 1200 calories? Dont you think if you're going to do a half marathon you'll need more energy then that?

I visited a weight loss consult with my gym. I have a high percentage of body fat so he advised me to go on a 1200-1500 calorie a day diet exercising 5 times a week. I have a problem with not eating enough (why I put on weight to begin with) so im working up to 1500 calories.

The half marathon isn't till mid November. I will only be walking it - its up a mountain! I just want to complete it. Ive been told that I have to lose excess fat before toning up.

Breakfast: Cooked a 2 1/2 egg omelete with 1/2 slice ham, 1 slice cheese and 1/4 tomato. Sweet Chilli sauce on top :)

Lunch: Tomato Soup and 2 slices wholemeal bread

Dinner: Not sure about dinner yet... maybe some grilled meat an a salad.

Been in bed all day with the flu, so no exercise today. Neck is killing me

Weigh in tomorrow!:( estimate: 60.5kg

60kg = 132lbs (2.2lbs to 1kg)
 
Dinner: Spaghetti Bolanaise (sp?)

Also had a glass of OJ (trying to get rid of this cold!) and a handful of cashews and peanuts throughout the day.

Weigh in tomorrow! Estimate 61kg. :(
I will also be weighing in at the gym on Tuesday.
 
Yeah they gave me a plan, 40 minutes cardio + 20 minutes weights.

I don't want to do weights until someone can show me how to do everything, cause I dont want to do it wrong or injure myself. I do a little bit, but only for 10 minutes every time I go. Which is about 4 times a week, not 5.

Weigh in today: 59.8kg
Down 0.5kg from last Monday

Im happy with this. If i could lose at 0.5kg a week that would be good, slow and steady.

Today I ate

Brekkie: 3/4 Cup Cheerios with 1/3 cup milk + mouthful of OJ

Snack: Crumpet with Promite

Lunch: steamed vegies (broccoli, carrot, corn) with vermiccilli and sweet chilli sauce. 600ml of water also.

Gonna go to the gym tonight! Ive kinda recovered from the cold, just got the sneezes and a runny nose now :)

I would like to be around 59.0kg by next monday, hopefully I can lose 0.8 kilos with some hard work!

Going over to the boyfriends house now, so cant go to the gym. Will probably go for a walk or something though.

Stuck to all my food today! Didnt resist into any chocolaty tempations!

One kg=2.2pds so 60kg=132lbs

Im from Hobart, Tasmania. The stupid little island off the BIG island.

Im sure you could get them in a British shop? We have this shop here that sells all American Stuff, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! Gah. Love them.

and Subway for dinner tonight - haha I eat too much subway. The boyfriend is obsessed :confused: (1600kj)

I had a coffee today too.. not sure how many KJ. Light milk + two equal

Exercise: 20 minute walk to and from work
30 Minute walk around town
MAYBE a walk to subway and back if the BF lets me (40 minutes)

Jumped on the BF's scales this morning and said I was 58kg? Im going to buy a new set tomorrow, $50 down from $200 at Harris Scarfe. Measures Body Fat and Muscle and stuff - not terribly accurate but will give me a rough indication!

Was mildly busy today - had a lot to do. Day went really quickly was pretty happy about that.

LOTS to say. Will write another diary tomorrow. About goals and treats and stuff!

Had a Turkey and Salad Wrap for lunch with no dressing or cheese. Around 350 calories I reckon. Also had a muesli bar throughout the day which was 200 calories.
 
Thursday 16 August

Body Fat = 22%
Muscle = 33%
Weight = 59.5kg

Woot lost 0.3kg! Haha not much, hopefully I'll lose the 500grams by Monday!

My body fat percentage puts me in the late average range. My goal percentage is 18%
