Eek had a mini binge last night - But I didnt go over 1400 calories for the day so its OK.

FOOD FOR TODAY

Brekkie: 1/2 English muffin with 1/4 can of spaghetti
Snack: 2x Tuna with cream cheese on crispbread
Snack: 16g Pack Malteasers
Lunch: Subway 6" Roast Chicken
Dinner: Whatever Mum Makes - Small portion

This comes under 1250 calories.

I have my weigh in on Monday.. I was 59.5kg on Thursday morning, so I think there is a good chance I can be 59.0kg if I work my butt off these next few days. My only problem is when I am by myself at night and I have nothing to do, thats when I binge. So I'll just have to keep myself busy.

I really would LOVE to be 54.0kg by the 7 October (my birthday), so i can go shopping for new clothes and fit into my goal size comfortably.

That's 7 More weigh ins. To reach my target weight I will need to lose 0.8kg per week. I really think I can do it! I am going to have to be tougher on myself, and get moving and do some cardio to get my heart pumping every day. And if I am not 54.0kg by 7 October I'll keep working hard until I reach that weight, THEN go shopping. I will have lost a total of 8kg, thats 17.6lbs.

I will make a goal EACH day, and MAKE sure I stick to it. I reckon if I am totally dedicated I CAN reach my goal. Maybe I'll have a good week and lose 1.0kg, maybe I might only lose 0.3kg. I know its not going to be the same loss each week. I think I have done OK to lose 2.5kg. Ive had 3 weigh ins. And im not a big person to begin with, so i undestand I will be losing at a slower rate. I think I can tell I have lost a little bit of weight, its just great to be under 60kg again! I just have to stick to 1250 calories a day (one day where I eat a bit more so my metabolism does not adjust, one day where I eat a massive brekkie), and exercise for AT LEAST 60 minutes per day. I automatically do 20 minutes every day because I walk to and from work. I just have to make up 40 minutes another way - like a 40 minute run/walk in the morning or evening or doing some cardio and weights at the gym. Its REALLY cold at the moment, so gym is preferable, although I would WAY prefer to be out in the fresh air. Its the last month of Winter so hopefully i'll be able to run outside in September or early October...

Goal for Today: GO to the gym and do my cardio before I pick up Alex.

I have a destists appointment on Saturday, getting my teeth professionally cleaned and my front teeth capped because they have chipped. I KNOW i'll get the whole "YOU MUST EAT DAIRY YOU STUPID CHILD", haha. Im lactose intolerant but i dont take supplements.. I really should take a calcium tablet every day, just havent gotten around to it.
 
Its about 5pm and ive stuck to my diet all day!

Im thinking of buying a weights set. 2 Dumbells, and a bar. So I can do weights at home. There is a set in at Amart for $150, but that is quite expensive... Im going to go have a look at kmart tonight, maybe they have something for a little cheaper.

I have also drunk 800ml of water. Will drink another 800ml at the gym and a little bit more later.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... scared about my weigh in on Monday.
 
1200 cals a day is your goal? I dont see much protein in your diet.

Yeah I have been thinking about getting some, they use them at the gym so maybe they could show me how to use them.

I have been eating a bit more protein, I had a tin of tuna on Friday, and some days I have eggs but not heaps. Dinner usually has meat in it. I have also bought and read the e-book, burn the fat feed the muscle by Tom Venuto.

Yesterday was a good day! Well had a few choccies :(

Brekkie: 3/4 Cup Cheerious with light milk (600kj)

Snack: Mini Malteser bad (330kj)

Lunch: Piece of home made pizza (was healhily made, could have made a better choice, but its more difficult on the weekends because I dont pre prepare meals.) (1000kj)

Snack: 2x Mini Mars Bar (420kj)

Dinner: Baby rocket leaves with feta cheese, salmon and tomato. A little bit of caesar salad dressing also. (1200kj)

Total = 3550kj
Cal = 945

Whoops. Just realised how little i ate. I wont do that again today.

So far I have had

2 Vita Brits with light milk and a little honey = 1037kj

Im also going to go to the gym today, and hopefully go for a walk later

Went to the gym, did 60 minutes cardio. Also went for a 40 minute walk after dinner with mum.

Monday 20 August:

Weigh in: 58.3kg!

A loss of 1.5kg

Which means I probably wont lose a lot this week. Im nearly at my mini goal of 58.0kg!

Dinner: Something healthy at Alex's. I think there might be desert too.

Hey there! Congrats on losing 3.7kg! That is great!

I've been to Hobart--love Tassie--gorgeous place. My hubby and I flew there from Melbourne to check out a house in Zeehan that we thought about buying to turn into a bed and breakfast. It was my first and only trip to Tasmania (but hopefully not my last!). The drive from Hobart to Zeehan was incredibly beautiful and the scenery was so diverse. It went from genlty rolling green hills dotted with sheep that reminded me of England to Aussie bush, to rainforest, to Queenstown--which looked like a moon crater from having all the vegetation stripped from the mining. Then Zeehan was quite pretty. It was winter, and very wet, so everything was very green and soggy..lol

As to crumpets, I've been to international shops where I live, and I've never seen a crumpet. Usually my hubby will bring back some from Australia when he visits, but he just came back a few days ago and forgot to bring some--along with Vegemite. I don't know how he's going to get along for a whole year without Vegemite! lol:rotflmao:

You are very discplined with your eating--much more than I have lately. It's great that you walk to work everyday--very healthy.:)
 
I gotta look up a converter from calories to kilojoules.

You know, it's funny b/c in Australia the nutrition labels don't list calories, but kilojoules, so when my hubby brought back some Arnott's Savory biscuits, I had no idea how many calories I was eating. So I looked it up--and 1 calorie equals about 4.1kilojoules.
 
Hello! Awesome job on the weight loss so far! Your mini marathon should be a lot of fun. Over the summer I ran in my first 5K and fell in love with running. Hopefully you have a great time training for it and finally competing in it.

You seem to be doing really well controlling what you eat. I slipped up a few times this week myself and seeing some of your menus makes me want to refocus on what I'm eating. Good luck with everything! I'll be coming back here for some inspiration that's for sure.
 
Well the half marathon looks pretty daunting right now! I am pretty unfit, I can barely run 3km. I reckon I will only be walking this one though, its up the biggest mountain in my capital city! But I would like to do some more running when I get fitter - there is a 10km event in October that I would like to do.

I dont really have the time to binge anymore really lol, I get up pretty early to get to work at 8:30am, and I get home at 6pm. a couple of nights a week I'll go to my boyfriends and I cant exactly pig out there! And when Im at home I force myself out of the kitchen and go to the gym, or snuggle up in bed and watch DVD's. I do slip up occasionally though. I find eating a little choccie every day curbs those cravings.

Im having my treat meal on Satruday though! Me and the boyfriend are going to see the comedian Arj Barker, and we are going to get a kebab before that! Hes on a diet too, he is following some pre competition body builders diet, and is carb cycling. I havent had a treat meal yet so I reckon i'll be OK. I'll be doing plently of exercise saturday to make up for it!

Bikinibound - Ive never actually been to Zeehan! I have been to Launceston and Queenstown, but thats it for the north of the state! Thats pretty sad huh? But it is really pretty, kinda reminds me of scotland (havent been there :( just seen pics haha). I love it, and yes its cold! But we get up to 35 degrees celcius in Summer!

Im kinda hungry now, but thank god I forgot my wallet today! Means I cant go buy anything hhaha. I still have a tuna and cream cheese cruskit before I go home at 5:30pm. I really should do some work, really cant be bothered at the moment. When ive updated everything on the internet I might get off my butt and do something haha. By the way I work as a media planner/buyer in an advertising agency, I book spots in TV, newspapers, magazines, outdoor billboards for clients, and do a bit of research and admin too. Its a really fun job when there is lots to do, but a lot of the time there isnt. I should be getting a new computer in the next few days!

I am REALLY happy about my loss. I worked my butt off on the weekend, and it payed off! If I keep going at this rate (which I know I wont, dont really want to) then I could be at goal weight in less than a month! But I still have 7 weeks before my birthday, and I reckon I can do it by then.

At 58.0kg I get to buy a new eyeshadow too! I loooove make up... at 56.0kg I get new shoes! Now these i DESPERATLY need, because I dont have any black shoes for work! I think pointy toed flats or some mary jane shoes. So I will be able to get those in a couple of weeks :D

Gawd I have rambled on. I really better do some work!
 
Everything sounds great. That's an awesome way to control cravings, by letting yourself have a small portion of it! And even if you can't run the mini marathon, which is definitely OK because I can't run one either, it's still a fun thing to do I'm sure. Theres another 5K coming up soon and I'm so hoping that I'm able to go home and do it with my family again. I also love your system of rewarding yourself. I should so try that with electronics or something :) And remember not to work out too hard, as you might burn yourself out. Slow and steady is just fine.

Well if it is something that I REALLY need (like clothes) then I'll work extra hard.

Last night did not go so well...

For dinner I had a 3 egg omelete (350 calories)

THEN

3 M'n'M Cookies :(
Argh would have screwed up my whole day
And I snacked on grapes whilst cooking.

But today is a new day :)

Brekkie:
1/3 Cup Oats with 1/2 Cup water and 1/3 Cup Milk (1000kj)
This keeps me full for aaaaaaaaaages, I also have about 1/2 tbs honey to taste

Lunch:
1 Teryaki Chicken Sushi Roll (715kj)

Snacks:
1 Mini Mars Bar (420kj)
1 Apple (360kj)
1 Beef Noodles Cup A Soup (250kj)

Dinner:
Subway (1230kj)
I would prefer not to but im meeting a friend, and its either this or Burger King haha. She might have forgotten about it hehe

Total: 3975kj (946 Calories)


Hmmmmmm might have to squeeze in another sushi roll at lunch, or have a snack after dinner.

Exercise

I really felt like I screwed everything up with the 3 cookies last night... I felt so full! I was so disgusted in myself. I feel like I have put all the weight back on - Honestly I cant even see that I have lost the 3.7kg. Sometimes I think I have, but I think its just my mirror in my room. No one has noticed. But I only have another 4.3kg to go! I am nearly at my half way mark so yay! Im hoping for a loss of another kilogram this week. Which will bring me to 57.3kg. So I will have to work my butt off at the gym! And keep to my diet. I really think I can do it :D
 
Argh im having the WORST food cravings!

I have already eaten my mini mars bar AND beef noodle soup. Its only 10:45am!.

I haven't really had any cravings up until now - Which is really the crucial stage of my weight loss. Halfway is where some people give up. I am so frustrated at work - All I want to do is exercise all this food off and i cant! And im bored, and restless, I really just wanna go home! And its only tuesday :eek:

At least I have my mini goal to look forward to - 58.0kg. I should be under that if I work hard this week, and from Monday 27 August I can go looking for new eyeshadow! Im going to go splurge on a Chanel or Dior eyeshadow!

And I cant WAIT till I can go shopping for new clothes. So im going to work hard! And beat these cravings! Im gonna go fill up my waterbottle, that'll distract me. And I go and do reception in an hour, and I cant eat there so yay!

If anyone wants to give me criticism I am open to it, I am looking for ANY way to improve myself, so if I am doing anything wrong PLEASE tell me!

I agree with tonymcclellan. Eat more healthier things during the day so you wont be hungry at night. I find myself having most of my cravings at night so if I'm full I usually don't get them. You're doing great though, so another thing to remember is to not let this upset you. You have done a lot of work to get here and 3 cookies definitely do not undo all of it. Keep at it and you'll be just fine.
 
I should be eating more, its just finding healthy food that I actually like is the problem!

Now I feel SOOOOO incredibly ill. I am trying to flush it all out with water haha, I have drunk nearly 2 Litres already. I really shouldnt have eaten all that... ive probably put myself at the beginning again.

I've just got to realise that its just not worth it! I'll work really hard at the gym tonight. Because even though I have had 2 instances in the past two days I can still reach my goal of 1kg this week! Ive just gotta shape up and not binge, and work really hard.

OK it's 4:09pm and I have drunk nearly 2 BIG bottles of water, and I havent eaten anything since my binge! Yay!

I stay at my boyfriends a few nights a week, I think I might drag him out of bed on Thursday morning and go for a walk hehe! Or maybe go for a walk at night! I am now looking at 1 and a 1/2 hours of exercise a day (I will reach 2 hours of exercise today)

I got out of subway! So yay! Now I can go home and eat something little, go to the gym then have a little snack when I get home.

I am worried I am getting a bit.... obsessed. All I wanted to do before when I binged was throw it all back up. I have had a bad history with food and exercise.. when I was 16 I was 5'7" and 101lbs.. I was obsessed with athletics and being skinnier meant I could jump higher. But this time I DONT WANT to be 100lbs. No where near that, yuck.

I have just got to stay focused! Im not too worried about food, as long as everything is healthy its OK. But exercise, thats the bit I have to focus on!
 
OK! Im off home, jeez its been a long day!

I will report in tomorrow how all my exercising and food went! Im so tempted to jump on the scales and see what it says! Argh!

Havent eaten since my mini binge at 2pm. So a LIGHT dinner tonight hehe.

Binges happen. But they aren't the end of the world. Weight loss is overall calories in versus overall calories out, so you CAN make up for it. You're doing great though!
