Elizab3th's Diary : 'Running Away From Fat'

Hey there!! Yea I'm waiting to hear the exercise report from yesterday and today... Where are ya girl?? Did ya call??? Let me know!! Have a great weekend!!

So Busy!

Hey Ladies! I'm so touched that you guys care so much... hehe it's so sweet! Well I definately did do my exercise - I ran for 20 minutes treadmill style then took my pup for a nice long walk... I almost lost him in the snow! Haha! I had to cheat a little last night though  My boyfriend has just started his own company so we had to celebrate! (forgive me) heee hee! Yesterday was such a crazy day though - only Beagle knows how nuts the weather is out here, and the roads are hell! *phew* I'm glad I just made it home last night!
Well - I hope all my girls had a good day yesterday and good luck to the weekend! Let's make it count! Hope to hear from everybody soon! I'm excited to hear how everyone else is doing!
Cheers!

I was starting to worry you wouldn't come back to us Liz, glad you did :) The exercise sounds great, dog walking can be lots of fun. As for the celebration, its forgivable, we all have them sometimes! Just get back on track and keep on truckin'.

lol, sometimes I worry I'm starting to sound like a cheesy motivational tape, but I really do want you to succeed!

Oh and the weather really IS crazy here! Winter is supposed to finish in March, not start then!

Just wanted to stop in, get caught up on your diary, and welcome you to the forum! Glad you got that exercise in today!

Oh yeah, and I love your diary title "running away from fat!"

first real sign of winter we've seen too!
I hope it melts soon, a week of winter is enough for me, especially after the months of dreary grey dead everything - I want some green grass and pink flowers and some freaking COLOUR on the landscape! There's a small collection of sour apple trees near my house. Nothing worth eating grows on them, but they have the most beautiful blossoms in the springtime. I can't wait to see them again :D

Tweet tweet!

Thanks Hippo! I'll come check out your diary tonite too!
You know what I love about this weather though is that the birds are still singing... oh but I guess they must have froze this evening... oh no... I guess that's not very good at all... hmmmmm
Today = I was on the elliptycal (30mins) and then I did my sit-ups! (yay!) and my weights! (yay!) - I'm not going to weight myself just yet, I know I'll get down if it hasn't moved much. It's too cold to take my dog out today - he has arthritis in his hips (you can hear them click when he walks), so we always have to watch when we walk him until he's old enough for surgery.
Ahhhh - I love my puppy! Hee hee... hope everybody is doing okay though! I'll check up on all my ladies soon but for now I've got to go make something to eat ~ byeeeee

Yay!!!! You got your exercise in today... lol.. Girl we are having some crazy weather right now.. Thursday it was 70 out and Friday it was 30 and had snow flurries.. It's just crazy!!

The Treadmill is so lonely...

*sigh* There's something quite ominous about a solitary treadmill.
To find the strength to run that 45 mins. (or elliptycal, bike, etc.) can be exercise enough. Especially the first week of a new routine, it can be a killer.
I've been in an amazingly bad mood this week. Just a terrible week. My cell phone got run over, I quit my job, my boyfriend and I had a huge fight and my dog is suffering from arthritis. On top of that I've got school up to my eyeballs and now I'm pressured for bills and aaahhhhhhh the last thing I want on my mind is "IM SO FAT". I know, one should never take such a pesimistic view of themselves - it's definitely my downfall, but we all are guilty of feeling .... less than adequate.
I dread mirrors. I can't believe what I've become.
(do they purposely surround the machines with mirrors.) I love all the different angles of jiggle I can get. <--- not a fan of the other people's reactions! Oh if I had money - I'd buy my own gym so I could work out in my own dimly-lit, mirror-free room. The treadmill would still be so lonely though.
It's like watching TV alone. You see a funny joke, laugh and turn to the person beside you - oh yeah... there's nobody here. And by the time that person you're thinking about comes home, you've forgotten the joke. I don't like to watch TV alone. Much like I dread getting onto the treadmill. I spend the whole time staring at the timer, never enjoying a second, waiting - waiting until I can get off and join the rest of society again. If I make it through a full session it must be a blue moon.
Howcome everything good, everything easy is always the wrong way to go?

Bring a magazine or even some music to keep your mind occupied while you work out! I'll agree though, those mirrors at the gyms are just cruel :( I mean really, what proportion people working out in a gym are actually comfortable with their bodies? And of those, how many are so conceited they'd rather look at themselves in a mirror while they work out than watch tv or something else? Sure, maybe the mirrors are good for checking your form, but most gyms have trainers for that too.

Bah. I don't know how much the curves membership cost, but my bike was only like $150 after tax and shipping - a lot cheaper than the memberships I was looking at at the time after even half a year.

Awwwww I Love Your Baby And I Love The Pics Girlfriend!! I Really Hope Your Weekend Is Better! What Cellular Service Do You Have? I Have Cingular If You Had That We Could Talk Free And I Could Talk To You While You Run On The Treadmill Lmao!!! Or Yell At Ya Whichever Worked Lmao!! Hope Your WeekEnd Is Better And Your Next Week!!

Your dog is sooooo cute ^_^ I want to get one, but I it would be pretty mean of me since I'm usually out of the house all day.

Redneck, I don't think she has Cingular since both Liz and I live in Canada, which doesn't have that carrier. ;) Which is too bad because Cingular (well all the US cellphone companies) have awesome rateplans compared to Canadians.

bad day

Terrible day - no exercise and fast food.
I'm too depressed about it to write.
Will check back tomorrow.

Doing Good So Far

Okay - I'm pumped, today I'm going to really start this because I'm so tired of looking this way - I had an awesome breakfast! Two eggs - 1 pc. toast - Glass of OJ - Yogurt & Fruit. I'm (sort of) energized but I have to push myself. I'm in a good mood and I'm going to get out there, I just wish it wasn't so damn cold. Thanks everybody for all the support. I can do it! :D
