EG's Diary

Yaaaaaaayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard work is paying off!! You are doing it, girlie!!!!!!! :willy_nilly: :cheers2:

That orange shake sounds sooo good. I'll have to see if ebay has that recipe book. Sounds like it has some really great stuff in there.

Keep up the great work!!! :gnorsi:

I experimented with making my own protein shake this morning. Here's what I used:

1 scoop GNC strawberry whey protein powder
1 cup 2% milk (I refuse to go lower, 1% & skim taste like crap)
1/2 cup lowfat plain yogurt
1/2 peach
1 Tablespoon honey

I'd probably cut it down to 1/2 cup milk, but beyond that it was pretty tasty.

Oh, and congrats on the 20 pound mark! That's fantastic!:hurray:

I see that you are making GREAT progress! It is so exciting to see how well everyone has done even when I personally hit a little bump in the road. You guys all encourage me so much. I know that if it wasn't for the great people I have met on these forums that I would not have been able to find the motivation to kick myself in the butt again.

Keep up the good work!!! :smash: :smash: :smash:

I feel the same about you guys as well. Thanks

Today I didn't count my calories. I just ate when I was hungry and drank water when I was thirsty. I feel very crappy again. I just feel tired and lazy. I think it's because it's raining out. I cleaned my house today and danced a little while I was doing it.

Breakfast burrito (potato, egg, turkey sausage, low fat cheese & pace picante wrapped with a low fat tortilla)

Tuna Salad w/ 5 wheat crackers

Nectarine

King Ranch Casserole (low fat ingredients)

2 beers :) It's been awhile......:blush5:

Hopefully my laziness goes away because if it doesn't I'm going to have to force myself to get up and going. I don't know why I get that way but it happens once a month. Anyway. Hope all is well. I appreciate everyone's comments and I'm glad to have you guys on this journey.

Hey Englan,
Sorry you feel so gross! I've been feeling that way too. I agree that it must be the weather. When it's not raining it's just so humid and full of mosquitos. I'm ready to sit outside with some cool air. I think we're getting a cool front tomorrow. If we do, then I'm going to enjoy myself outside. For some reason it always gives me more energy and makes me feel better. Have you been doing any workouts? I've been kind of lazy on mine the last few days. I did manage to ride my MIL's exercise bike today, but was NOT enjoying myself like I had been. I guess I'm just out of routine- who knows? I have a goal of doing at least ONE dvd workout this week. This way if I do more it'll be a plus and if I only do one then at least it's something. Anyway, it's late and I'm rambling! Feel better soon!

Thanks. I think that cold front is coming in here too tomorrow. I can't wait for that. Those pesky mosquitoes are bugging here too. Every time it rains its the same thing. I've been working out weekly. Monday - Saturday (walking) and Mon Wed Friday (weight training) but today was my rest day. I wanted to go walking but then it started raining. I really need to invest in some workout tapes. I have Turbo Jam but I'm getting sick of doing them. I need something new. I appreciate your "rambling". It makes me feel happy that people still read this diary :) Take care and thanks again.

Day 68 of my Journey

The weather is beautiful here right now. We're in the 60's, 70's and 80's. It beats the 90's and the 100's. The wind is too heavy for bike-riding because it makes me very winded but I still try. It's a very good workout.

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, grapefruit

Snack: 2 oz deli sliced turkey, cup of cantaloupe

Lunch: Angel hair pasta with chicken and bell pepper

Dessert: 2 cookies

Snack: Bagel chips (garlic)

Dinner: I haven't had dinner yet and since I'm staying up until 5:00 am because I'm working the night shift still, I'll probably just have a protein shake or maybe some fruit. I'm not sure yet.

Don't know what my calories are adding up to because I didn't bother counting them but I don't feel like I did badly.

Exercises: 1 hour walk (3.5 miles), 45 min bike ride, 100 crunches

I feel really good right now. :)

Thank you so much for what you said in my journal today. It really and truly means a lot to me and I think the same about you. I'm so happy to have met you on here!

What an incredible day you had today! You creamed me with your exercise! Tomorrow if it's nice I should plan on strolling with my son around the neighborhood. Sounds really nice. What brand of turkey sausage do you get? I just bought some Jenny-O Turkey bacon that I'm going to eat tomorrow for b-fast. I wonder if they make turkey sausage too...

You're welcome and thank you too. :) Is the weather over there nice too? Strolling with the kids is so much better when then weather is nice, cool and crisp instead of sticky and hot. Jenny-O turkey bacon is really good. I also like the Butterball brand. I use Jimmy Dean turkey sausage. It's already cooked so you just have to heat it up in the microwave for 40 seconds and it's delish!

The weather is sooo nice. If it wasn't for the mosquitos we'd be outside all day long. Even with repellent my son is covered head to toe with them. He has them on his face, in between his toes, fingers, on his arms and legs...everywhere! And that's just from going to and from the car. :( We still have standing water in our yard from the hurricane. I know that's gotta be the culprit! I went shopping this morning and bought some jimmy dean turkey sausage. I haven't tried it yet but I did eat the turkey bacon this morning. It was pretty good. Well, I haven't done a whole lot today. I would LIKE to do a dvd workout.....buut.... sigh! MAKE me do it! lol! Hope you're having a good breezy day!

UGH! My daughter is the same way. I think their blood is just too sweet that the mosquitoes are just attracted to them. Poor babies. Let's see, hmmm? MAKE you do it......You just have 13 more pounds to go to be below 200. You HAVE to do it. Come on let's go!!! :smash: Alright, that's all I've got....hope it worked. :)

Hi

englangrover

Thanks for posting on my thread. Your exercise is excellent. I couldn't do all you do in a day.

I'm doing 1/2 hour treadmill most days and am starting weight training next week.

You will be slender in no time.

Hey no problem and thanks to you too! :)

You are kickin' it, nice workout!

BTW I hate crunches...

I must be sick in the head, because I love doing crunches. Its the leg lifts that get me. But I force myself to do those so the lower abs get a workout too.

No, you're not sick in the head :) I guess everyone has their favorite exercises. My stomach is too big right now, so it gets in my way LOL; that's why I hate 'em. Maybe when my stomach shrinks I'll enjoy doing 'em. I love doing the leg lifts, though. My legs are the nicest part of me right now, in my opinion.
