Eerika's Diary

Thank you Rainbow, I like specially the pants! So nice on and good to work out with! :)

Today I had a kind of bad eating day.. But Ive exercised twice today (morning jogg 1h and body pump lesson).

Foods:

I didnt eat any breakfast cos I went to the chinese buffet! Ate little rice & noodles, some chicken, a spring roll, 1 fried chicken piece and sallads. Sooo it was better choice than a KEBAB or something! :D

Then after body pump I ate 100g of chocolate, 500g berry sorbet!!! OUCH!
And chicken&halloum sallad (in the pic!) :p
I LOOOOOOVE halloum cheese!!
Im not going to eat anything today anymore..

Oh wow that salad looks to die for! What is the dressing you use? It looks so yummy!

Do you think that you had that crazy need for sweet stuff (chocolate and sorbet - but at least it was sorbet and not ice cream!) because you did a big workout without breakfast?

And you're looking fab, lovely!

Decisionmaker: I love making sallads! :D And the dressing is just from a bottle I bought from the grocery store. One finnish brand (FELIX) makes very nice sallad dressings! At the moment I use Felix's Honey&Mustard dressing. I just cant live without sallad dressings!! Argh! :D I think Ive one pretty bad vice!

I dont think I felt like needing anything yesterday, I just ate cos I wanted. So stupid. I skipped the breakfast cos first I did morning work out and then went to the chinese buffet (BUT only ate one plate, no second round this time! :D ) and then went to the body pump and it was a mistake to not eat anything right after it.. Cos then I went to the grocery store and bought all the crap (The sorbet and chocolate).. Well it showed at the scale this morning, 8fuckin'8 kilos! Goddaammmmit. I CANT BELIEVE HOW FAST I GAIN ALL THE FLUIDS!

I added one nice pic to my private folder (of me, my bf and my little Toby!) :) In the private folder cos I know my bf doesnt want his face on the interenet, but I just love the pic we're all in and wanted to share it with you!

Sometimes Im a bit afraid if he know me writing on here and reads my journal or something! Haha! :D Ive never told him I write on a "fat forum".. But he is a pretty geek witht he computers and if he has seen sometimes my page history! Haha :D Im getting paranoid maybe.. Oh and yes, one day we were talking about my weightloss and how much my body has changed. And he said to me, that "In the pictures you can see how much you've changed!" And then I asked him how the hell he know about any pictures, cos Ive never showed him any! :D All the pics about my weightloss is in HERE. I dunno why I didnt blur the face in the first place.. It just wouldnt be nice if someone I know would see those ugly pics. :leaving:
And I also dont feel like writing so much about my personal things if HE reads the journal.. And if I ask him does he read this, I would reveal myself AND THE forum to him! So nono.. :D

Ok.. Maybe I will get to you later :D

Ahah! I have the same feelings about my boyfriend reading my journal in here (which I just started, by the way). He knows I want to lose weight and that I love blogs and journals (I love reading them and he knows I have kept a personal one online for years now), but it would be just embarrassing if he would read this one, dunno why.
Anyway, the pictures are gorgeous! You are doing a GREAT job!

Oh, you're a new reader! Thanks for the comment! :) I also wrote a blog for few years and my EX BF told me just few months ago that he has been reading it! I deleted the whole blog then.. :leaving: I had no idea he had found it! So I really wish my current bf hasnt found this! Cos it would be nice to share something else also of my life here than just weightloss. You guys are awesome!!!

Hi eerika, I thought i had read your diary before but apparently not. You look like a new face around here. I've been away for two months.

I found your opening post very interesting so i want to keep up with you. And i am always attracted to the foreign posters because i imagine they eat differentlly and i might learn something about their country's food.

I started reading from when you just got back on track. I have comment that relates to your being hungry. You know, if you changed a few little things in your diet, you could eat more and may be suffer less hunger.

Eg. instead of cream in your coffee, use milk
Do you measure out your salad dressing? Have you tried making your own? bought dressings sometimes have sugar added. When i was in the weight loss phase of my diet, i often made a dressing with almost no oil. I just used vinegar. If you ever get around to flipping through my diary, i usually write up how i cook my meals so you might find some ideas in there if you are interested.
Cheese is very high fat. If you ate less of it or cut it out altogether until you lost the weight you want, you may find it easier. But i notice you do choose yummy cheeses. I love haloumi too. Or at least instead of a few slices of cheese, have only one.
Make your meals with mostly low fat foods. Bulk them up with carbs like rice and pasta but especially vegies and fruit which i know are more expensive but much better for a diet. Its not foods like pasta and rice that are a problem in themselves. Its not them that has made you overweight i think. AS you need the carbs for energy, its the way they are prepared and its also if you are eating lots of refined carbs such as white bread, cakes, icecream, sugary things and deep fried food. Even if you could restrict yourself to one slice of cheese per day, you would be able to eat more and be less hungry. One reason i cut cheese out of my diet when i was in the weight loss phase is because its so salty and tasty that its hard to restrict myself so its easier to go without completely than have a little bit. I find that too hard. However now i am allowed cheese again and I will try to limit myself to say no more than one slice a day because i am so conscious of not getting hungry and not reverting to bad habits i had in the past. I think i will always have to be very careful with foods like cheese.

I take it you know that fat has 4 times the calories that carbohydrates and protein do. That's where i am coming from with my comments. Cream and cheese are nearly total fat.

Regarding your boyfriend reading your blogs and diaries. I think you should come right out and tell him that you expect him not to pry in your private writings. Tell you consider it a serious breach of trust and you would like to feel confident that he's not doing such things and that you wouldn't dream of poking through his private things. People need their privacy even in a relationship. You should be able to have it. And if that's not going to work, then take steps to set your things up so that he can't find anything of a private nature. Put virtual locks on your computer so that he can't access. He shouldn't be able to work that out unless you leave the password lying around.

Im not a new around here.. And I remember you gave me some comments few months ago. :) But thanks for your message! And it included a lot info which is true ofc..

Ive tried to eat very low carb way on my diet.. So I take my carbs usually from porridge in the mornings, then from a recovery drink after work out and also from pasta/potatoes or rice once a day (40g in a meal after work out). Also some carbs I get from veggies. And I take fat from cream in my coffee, few tablespoons of olive oil when I fry something and some cheese I eat. I try to eat cheese which includes no carbs, like halloum. I do measure my sallad dressing.. And I know I could do a lot better if I would cut everything off.. No dressing, no cheese. But I know I would get bored to the diet very fast. But if the weightloss will slow down I will definitely cut them to better choices. Im just trying to take this easy and put the weight down slowly but surely 0.5kg in a week now when Ive already lost 8-9kg.. :)

Im gooooingg toooo get sooooo drunk tonight girls!!! :sifone:

So I will be back at least on sunday if not before! Haha! Have a great weekend all and :chillpill: !! (I will try to behave! LOL) :waving:

xoxoxo

Have a brilliant night out, and don't behave yourself, that's no fun :D

I love the pic of you all! It does sound like he is being a bit nosey, did you ask him what pictures he was talking about when he said that? I think weight is very sensitive, not even skinny people like everyone knowing their weight. It just feels horrible admitting what it is... And although I'm sure he wouldn't judge you about what you have wrote, or your photos, its just an embarrassing feeling.

I secretly read my mums blog :/ I did feel a bit naughty!

Don't worry about the sorbet, at least it was berries!

Have fun! It's ok to let loose, dieting is a tough job and you'll get all stressed out if you just stick to it 24/7. :D

Oh my.. Of course it was a mistake to drink like I did on friday! :D At least I managed to relax, but the hang over wasnt nice experience at all! Im not going to drink alcohol for a while! Of course I ate also pizza yesterday.. Not going to weigh myself for few days. I dont want to go over 90kg thats for sure! So Im really going to stick with my diet starting now. I agree that sometimes it is good to let loose but now I think Ive had too many weekend or days that Ive let myself eat what Ive wanted.. And I definitely dont want to get back to my old life and old Eerika.. Nono. This is hard but I must really put things together again. :)

Did you have a good night?

Yeah, I agree, its too easy to get back into the habit of eating junk when you relax yourself a bit. We have all been far too relaxed with food for too long, now its punishment time lol.

Hows today been my dear? x

Hello you :)

I noticed the same thing, you can get back on your bad eating habits very easily. Punishment time indeed!! :D

We went yesterday to my parent's place with my bf and spend the last night there. Just had a nice time with my family, went sauna, GRILLED nice steaks and ate strawberries.. Haha! :D Why everything has something to do with food?!!! So I think Ive eaten probably 2000 cals today! And didnt work out at all.. Yesterday I had so bad hang over that I couldnt even think about healthy lifestyle! :D I woke up and my hands were shaking! LOL.

It's so easy to slip back into bad habits, isn't it! Not fair!! Sorry about your hangover, I have them pretty regular! I usually find ginger tea (or biscuits!) helps for the nausea but nothing works properly apart from sleep, water and a hot shower!!!

.. And so hard to get back healthy lifestyle. I usually have few very cranky days when Im trying to get back to my diet and work outs. Everything feels like shit! :ack2:

I drink pretty rarely so I got nice hang over. Usually I throw up in the morning but Im glad I didnt have to "enjoy" doing that yesterday!! :D I just woke up with the shake and drunk 1 litres of water and another of soda. Hah.. :D The nausea is so disgusting though...

Hey, when I read you went to sauna, grilled and had strawberries I though you sounded like north European "activities" and then I noticed you are from Finland. I write from Finland too! How cool!!! :D
I had a small hangover yesterday also, but luckily now I feel better.

Ways to prevent hangover: drink two large glasses of water before you go to bed. Hangover is caused by dehydration and probably also lots of nutrients.

Yeah we all have to break out once in a while but i am glad i'm passed the age where i get so drunk. Your hands shaking sounds worrisome. I"ve never noticed that although there were many times when i didn't remember a single thing about the night before. I wonder about the brain damage i suffered back then. It could account for a lot about me today. ha ha ha. But seriously though... alcohol also has lots of calories.

I wouldn' suggest you give up salad dressing. I think a good salad dressing makes a salad yummy while without its can be dull so i know what you mean. Cheese on teh other hand, for me (is too moreish) Good if you can control yourself but cheese doesn't have any carbohydrates just fat and some protein. Hard cheese are best for dieters because they are high in calcium. Soft cheese are not. But i got the idea you are pretty comfortable with what you are doing so carry on with what you are doing.

Yes its terribly easy to slip back into old ways. One has to remain vigilant even after you reach goal weight.

This morning I couldnt resist to weight myself: ..87,6kg. Godddamit! Im back to the starting point where I left a week ago. Its cos of the bad eating habits in the end of the last week and ofc the friday when I drunk lots of calories form of alcohol. Im not sure was it worth it. I would have been way more happier about weighing 85kg today.

Im going to count a new calorie plan today and stick with it. There isnt other way on successful weightloss. The first ten weeks I ate very very simply and worked out like crazy, IT WORKED. Im feeling like Im doing just 50%, so I must do better!

Little_Star:
You're third person around this forum from Finland, COOL!! Ive been on this site for a while.. Nice to see other finnish who have found the forum as well! This place can be a very upholding when you're feeling like shit with the weightloss! Ive found some priceless support from here as Im not the kind of person who really likes to talk about my weightloss project in public!

Jruggles:
I drunk over 3 litres water in a day in the beginning of my diet, like for the 10 first weeks.. Now I think Ive drunk half less, so Im going to drink more now on! I found it hard to drink so much water first cos I felt like I had to pee all the time! :D But you're right about water being a very good help in weightloss. :)
