Ed's Diary

Hehe! You started out young, huh?

I can do a few push ups with my knees down! :D

Even with all the improvements I have made, I still can't do a single "real" push up!

The curse of being female.

Puny upper body muscles.

Hehehe.

But you girls have all those nice curves.

Yes, yes...

The nice curves are one thing I DO have! Luckily, I was blessed with an hour glass figure, and I'm finally starting to take advantage of that! I'll take that over big arm muscles any day! :D

Woo - that sounded a bit conceited, but I speak the truth! :)

I've always had a nice shape, but it was hidden underneath so much 'insulation'!

Haha, Ross is a fucking nut.

I need to send you a link to this thread in his forum. I thought about it when you were talking about your own forum the other day. It started out as a DL thread where of course it turns into a pissing contest with all the muscle heads. Someone asks Ross what he can DL, he says he doesnt know but thinks he could get 400 off the ground. Finally one guy calls bull shit. Tells them they are all full of shit and are keyboard warriors and none of them can do what they say. He bets Ross 100.00 he cant pull 400. Ross was pretty modest about it but here was his reply.

You look pretty ripped now. I bet you could blast some pushups if you tried.

Hahaha, I've seen that a number of times. When that first happened it got passed all over the net.

He's an ox!

I hate Wednesdays. Why are they so slow. Bleh. Anyway. I took my placement test for school yesterday. Since my old stuff is more than 3 years old I had to take it again. I have to take a remedial math class lol. I forgot algebra. I couldnt remember shit. Oh well. It is done in a comp lab and it is an "at your own pace" class so if it starts to come back to me I can breeze through it and finish early. Still made me feel dumb though.

Since I am lifting today and feel kinda down I'm gonna post some Mark Rippetoe quotes because he is my new hero.

"There are no shortcuts. The fact that a shortcut is important to you means that you are a pussy."
Deadlifts that are too heavy to pull generally don't take very long; the bar just kinda lays there. So if trying to move immovable objects was dangerous from the standpoint of stroke, the history of the human race would be littered with stupid people's corpses."

"The only legitimate use for a glove is to cover an injury... A desire to prevent callus formation (possibly so as to not snag one's pantyhose) does not constitute a legitimate use. And if you do insist on wearing gloves, make sure they match your purse."

Yes they both hurt, but so do burning your hand and burying your bulldog. The differences are actually quite significant.

And my favorite so far:
"Strong people are harder to kill than weak people, and more useful in general."
(in reference to a bicyclist who seemed to be saying that riding was similar to squats since they both made your legs hurt):

Note to self.

Do not bring full 8.5oz bag of sunflower kernels to work. You will try and have a few to snack on and will not be able start eating the damn things.

You could, I have, but I'm the type who likes a class of people doing the same thing, running and weights are the only activities I like to do alone. Well, sometimes I like to hike alone and reflect.

Ha. I had to look up Scorpion pose. I wish I did yoga. I always thought I would dig it. No classes where I live though. I guess I could buy a DVD.

Get magnificent mobility instead, imo. Or, better yet, let me send you a free copy. :p

I like to keep my meditation and my flexibility work separate. I also like to do almost everything by myself. I'm very schizoid. ^_^
