Ed's Diary

OMG I just have to give those a try one day. I'll probably hit my hands on my ceiling though, maybe I'll go outside for them. In any case, they look tough.

I do them out side or at the gym. I shake the floor when I do them in the house. I like to do them at the gym because people think I am crazy. That serves me fine because then no one talks to me. I have also done them at the track.
Sprint 100m then do 10 burpees. All the talk/walkin soccer moms seem to get a kick out of that.........I always get my own lane for my runs after:reddevil:

I really think my motivation was not walking all the way to the other side of the gym to get the 2.5 weights off the Smith machine. Is that bad?

Yes, it's bad. LOL! ;)

I dread having to go ask a stranger to spot me when lifting my pathetic weight. Oh well. Maybe I will just keep getting stronger and want need them.

:smash: No one wants you to get injured--get a spotter!!!

Sprinting and burbees??? Now that's impressive!!

I really need to try the 100 burpee challenge... see how long it takes me. In the circuits I was doing, we were doing a ton of work in 30 seconds intervals, each station being different... burpees were always one of the stations. I have to imagine I built up a good work capacity.

You should. I am afraid. I do 50 pretty often but I do it in 5x10 with about 60 second rest. I could probably do 100 but it would take 15-20 minutes lol.

WO
Decided to do a 1 rep max because I had never done it.
Deadlifts 290
Overhead press 125
appx 45 minutes of tennis

Don't know why but I wanted to see what I could pull on a deadlift. Had I started higher I could have done more because by the time I got to 290 I had already done 270, 280, 285 etc. Had I done a few warmups then started at say 275 I could have busted 300 I think. By the time I got to to 290 I had done about 10 heavy reps.

I was disappointed in the OHP but Steve has assured me that I am not an epic weakling as I had feared. I am merely and exceptional weakling.

I was suppose to do pull-ups as well but I guess the heavy lifting blew a gasket in my brain and I just plain forgot.

The tennis was a blast though, played doubles with my wife and kids which meant plenty of "backing" up and chasing balls.

Wow, that youtube vid is intence. I hope to one day be able to do that.

So 290 deadlift eh, that's better then most so don't fret. ;)

I was actually pretty pleased with the DL. It was the press that was disappointing. Oh well. The good thing about training is, you can always get stronger and faster. Well......almost always.

Those numbers actual sound pretty decent to me. But what do I know? Kudos on the burpees. It's never even crossed my mind to try them, but I think I might be dangerously inspired now.

And I believe that is the best kind of inspired! Ok maybe second to "deviantly inspired" But its close.
Yes, I think you're right. At this point I think it's just "dangerous" though. Perhaps if you showed me a video of some guy doing burpees with flaming torches attached to his arms and feet, I might be "deviantly" inspired.

Oh shit... I just was.

I KNOW. My biceps have minds of their own. They are huge when I flex and I don't even isolate them. WHATEVER. Weird.
Envisions slapping Val silly
You bitch....

:p

I am a horrible person.

I am a very conservative moral and low key person. But I have a completely inappropriate sense of humor. Anyone else have that? I just think completely tasteless, offensive, disgusting stuff is funny. I am saying this because I just had to lie to a co-worker who caught me laughing.

I was reading a horrible/lame/corny jokes thread in an MMA forum I post on. Some guy posted about 5-6 "dead baby" jokes. They cracked me up

I am going to hell.
