Dylan's Diary

7/4/19

Today was definitely not something I'm proud of, but I'm reporting on it anyways. So today was the 4th of July, and I didn't eat all that healthy today besides breakfast. Let's get into the meals for today.

Breakfast:
Oats w/ Scoop of Peanut Butter
Glass of Milk

Lunch:
Cheddar Brat w/ bun
Cheese Burger w/ Bun
Chips
Water

Dinner:
Cheese burger w/ bun
Cheddar Brat w/ bun
16oz G2 Gatorade
Chips

Yeah, I know it was probably brutal to read, but today I basically consumed cook out food all day. Wasn't at home so I didn't have anything to pack for the trip so I was pretty much stuck eating it, and I was walking all day and I was hungry during meal times so I ate pretty big. As far as eating bad food today filled with carbs and fats, I didn't drink anything to sugary, I ate my calories, never drink them. Today was a special day, so I chose to eat cook out food all day. This honestly wasn't the best idea, because I'm use to eating dietary fibers and good healthy foods, and man oh man one of the worst bathroom experiences to say the least. My body didn't like all that grease and bread, so I definitely payed for it.

However, to end today's report on a positive note, I weighed myself this morning and before I ate big today and I was 350 POUNDS!!! So yeah, I currently lost 2 pounds this week.

Yeah, I probably gained from today, but at least I lost 2 pounds this week. I'm pretty sure I might be a pound or two heavier than today from eating such high calorie foods, it honestly depends, maybe a pound more, but at least I hit my goal.

Sometimes these days just happen, Dylan. Yay to being 2 lbs down. Maybe the unpleasant bathroom experience might end up negating the cookout food. Either way, nothing that a couple of good days won't fix.

Yeah, I'm definitely not proud of today, but I'm glad I could confirm I did lose 2 pounds when I checked my weight this morning. Yeah, I messed up today, but the only thing I can do now is get back on track tomorrow and keep moving forward.

lost 2 pounds this week
Good for you Dylan, that's progress.

I suggest you just let yesterday go and move on. I did a lot of barbecuing yesterday also, I know that can be hard to resist. What I did was to only take the leanest meat I could and carved anything that looked like fat off. Then I ate only the meat, lettuce, and tomatoes, no cheese and no bun. I put a lot of mustard on the meat, it makes it seem to go further, and mustard is the one condiment without calories. But that's just me, it may not work for you.

On the positive side, I doubt you ate enough yesterday to gain the 2 lbs back.

END OF WEEK #5

Wonderful day today to say the least! Meals...

Breakfast:
Oats w/ Scoop of Peanut Butter
Unsweetened Tea

Lunch:
Grilled Chicken Salad
Unsweetened Tea
Water

Dinner:
Big bowl of brown rice w/ scoop of butter, dash of salt, and pinch of garlic powder
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
Carbonated Water w/ Lime
Unsweetened Tea

Weight: 351

Yup, as expected I did gain a pound from the 4th of July celebration because I made poor choices, but at least I was 350 pounds before I ate all that bad food, so I guess we can say I did meet my goal this week, however I gained back a pound, but that's okay I'm going to try even hard this week to make up for it.

Yeah, today was a great day, and I turned things up a notch a bit on my physical activity. So, a long day of work and school, I came home and walked one of my dogs because the other one is sick and has a fever :( Anyways, I walked the dog at a very fast pace for at least I want to say 4 miles and man oh man was it humid outside. I was sweating like a fish out of the sea again! It was kind of mistake walking towards the end of the day during nightfall, GOSH I DON'T LIKE MOSQUITOES! Didn't want to apply bug spray because when I sweat it gets into my eyes when I sweat, and I would sweat it off immediately because it was so hot and humid.

In conclusion, today was a big success, and I think that I'm going to work hard rather than have a splurge meal this weekend, because I splurged on the 4th of July, and I need to make up for the set back. However, I'm happy with today, and I'm glad I'm back on track staying focused!

Given how salty your July 4th celebration looked some of that pound is going to be water weight. Great work getting right back on track!

7/6/19

Today was a little rough, I ate decently healthy, but the main issue was lack of sleep last night. I couldn't sleep and ended up staying up till 8 in the morning. I fell asleep around 830 ish and woke up around 1pm. Breakfast in this post is considered the first meal, even though it was a very late breakfast.

Breakfast:
Oats w/ Scoop of Peanut Butter
Unsweetened Tea

Lunch:
Lean Beef patty with cheese no bun
Water

Snack:
Greek Yogurt
Water

Dinner:
Bowl of whole grain brown rice w/ scoop of butter, pinch of salt, dash of onion powder
Lean Beef Patty with Cheese w/ bun
Water

Yeah, I pretty much ate beef as my main source of protein as I didn't have protein powder, or any chicken so I had to consume some type of protein that I could find as I didn't go shopping yet for next week.

Activity level today wasn't the greatest, but I walked the dog for a good 4 miles, fast paced.

I was feeling sick and dizzy all day because of lack of sleep. Not sure why I couldn't sleep last night, but it's currently 12am and I have to be up for work at 730am so after I'm done writing the post, I'm heading straight for bed.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, as today wasn't the best, but somewhat successful I guess, not sure, it was just a SUPER weird day to say the least.

Hey Dylan, sorry to hear about your sleep troubles. I rarely can't sleep, but when it happens I take an antihistamine, like NyQuil or something.

Good to see you still managed to eat well, keep it up.

Worked all day today, and I'm exhaust which is why I'm keeping this report short and sweet. I have a lot of sleeping to do, and I hope I can get to go shopping by tomorrow so that I'm all ready for Week #6.

My goal for Week #6 is 348 pounds or less!

7/8/19

Well, today is the official first day of Week #6 and I'm feeling very good about this one! Today, was a busy day out in the work field and I think this week is off to a good start. I didn't have breakfast this morning, as I woke up and was running late for work, so I had to be out there door within a matter of minutes or I was going to be late. Meals for the day...

Breakfast:
None

Lunch:
Salad with steak, topped of with raspberry vinaigrette dressing (never had it before, it was absolutely delicious dressing!)
Water
Unsweetened Tea

Dinner:
South West Grilled Chicken Salad from McDonald's
Unsweetened Tea

Yeah, I was very low on calories today, but right now I'm hungry as hell, so I'm probably going to make some oats before bed, so that I can sleep without losing my sanity. However, besides skipping breakfast today, I think I did very well, and I'm going to be pushing myself to reach that 348 weight goal by Friday!!!!!!!!!!

I find being really hungry to be a problem. Oats are a good idea, I usually try to eat some fruit, same idea not a lot of calories but filling.

Keep up the good work!

Oats are nice and filling and feels so relaxing once you eat them. You know they say oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They're a gluten free whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.

I LOVE OATS!!

It was a busy day, and I was outside working out in the heat doing construction. Really exhausted and tired, so I'm keeping this report short, and heading to bed.

You're doing well, Dylan. I love oats too & chicken & yoghurt :) Hope you get a great night's sleep!

Hey, Dylan, I noticed you drink Gatorade zero sometimes. Do you drink the 32 oz bottles or 20 oz ones? I went and bought some 6 packs of 20 oz bottles and noticed those actually have 5-10 calories per bottle depending on the flavor. And then noticed that the 32 oz ones are actually zero calories no matter the flavor. Just makes me wonder why! Lol I think I'll check the ingredients to see the difference.
