DVR vs freeweights

I will soon be taking a police agility test which includes a bench press test. The test is to be conducted on a DVR machine.

1st question. What's a DVR machine?

2nd question. How do the weights compare to freeweights. For example, if I bench 200lbs on freeweights what does this equate to on the DVR?

I dont know what A DVR machine is, but I assume its just like a smith machine etc, basically a fixed down bar that you press. Free weights are harder as you lift them without the bar being stablised (by the machine bars) from moving backwards and forwards as well as left to right. So with free weight your not only needing to lift the bar upwards but you have to keep it straight and stable, this helps build ur stablising muscles. Therefore when it comes to the machine you should be able to bench quite alot more on it, so just practice on freeweight bench presses, and you'll cane the DVR benchpress, it cant be that difficult to do in the police agility test.
