Ah, yesterday did not go well....

Wheetabix and raisens with semi skim milk - 269 cals
tomato and pepper pasta - 260 cals
Cashew nuts - 100 cals
Strawberry and Banana smoothie -70 cals
BBQ - 1200+ cals :(

thats over 1899+ cals *sigh* try again today.

On the bright side I made a start on that coursework, not much but it is a start.
 
Managed to keep to 1200 cals yesterday so thats pretty good :) Also did a bit more of that coursework, its getting there slowly but surely. I really should've started revising for my exams by now...
Anyways, weighed myself today and it was down to 137, yaay :D
 
Due to circumstances beyond my control I havnt been able to go to gym these last 2 days, which kinda sucks so I hope I can go tonight.

About a third of the way through this evil coursework. Im doing a computing degree but we have to do a law module and thats the coursework im trying to do...

Know anything about the UK computer misuse act anyone? :rolleyes:
 
Hi all,

Its been a little while since my last post.

I made a post a while ago about feeling faint when I went to the gym, well it happened again and to be blunt it scared the heck outta me. Normally if I feel faint the world goes blue and fuzzy, well this time it went black and all the sounds felt like they were moving away from me.

Anyway, Ive been to the doctor and apparently I have naturally low blood pressure, but not stupidly low. So im going to have some tests and such and wait and see. Going back to the gym today, but Il try to take it easy.

And I finally found out, my height is just a hair under 5ft 7"! Which puts my current BMI at 21.5. I had been working on the assumption that my height was 5ft 6" which gave me a BMI of 22.1.

Oh and I finished that coursework, yay :D handed it in today.
 
Went to the gym yesterday and actually used the weights! We did upper body that day, it was fun. I can only use the smallest weights they have and possibly the next ones up, but its still good :p

Started some revision today too, optical fibres, blah I didnt get that the 1st 2 times a tried, oh well I have to understand it for the exam....

But then after the exams im off on industrial placement, no Uni for over a year :D
 
Well my weight has gone back up to 140lbs :(

There could be a number of reasons I suppose, Ive fallen off the wagon a bit, takeaways full of calories and sodium... Ive also started strength training a bit but I cant beleive Ive put on that much muscle that quick. So I guess its a combonation of the above, and comeing up to TOM aswell.

So time to try again, today I have had:

2 x wheetabix with semi skim milk and raisens - 269 cals
Pitta bread with salad and ham - 200 cals
Toast with low fat spread - 200 cals
Cheese pasty - 400 cals
Chocolate - ? cals , lets say 300

altogether approx 1369 cals so not too bad
 
excess sodium, combined with tom - does m ake a difference.. nice to see you aren't panicing and are just going forward :) way to go :D

I weighed myself this morning and was down 2lbs again, go figure lol :D :rolleyes: I think im going to try to cut down how often I weigh myself, it fluctuates from day to day anyway. Besides this is becomeing about more then the number on the scale.

I still find myself thinking I wish I was this weight or I wish I fit into this size clothes but now im more interested in looking more toned, eating healthier and so on.

Went to the gym again today, feels pretty good. Im doing mostly strength training its fun and I swear its toneing me up ;)

I had few more calories today but still less then what Im burning off so its all good.

fruit and fibre cerial with semi skimmed milk (I got sick of wheetabix!) 200 cals
strawberries - 20 cals
brown bread rolls with low fat spread, ham and salad - 360 cals
cashew nuts - 100 cals
cherry yogurt - 60 cals
half a home made pizza with mushroom, pepper and bacon - 800 cals

So in total: 1540 cals

They say you should have at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, Id say I had between 4 and 5 today. Aparently you can count juice as one portion but Im not sure if my no-added-sugar-cranberry-juice-drink has enough cranberry in it to count. But then I get through plenty of it :p keeps me off the fizzys lol.

yayy it was just a fluctuation chica! you ar doing awesome after all.do you weigh in more than once a week then?
health is the most important thing .. with health usually comes fitness and slimming down
a deficit is always good

Yes I have been weighing myself everyday, not so good lol :rolleyes: but today I didnt weigh myself so im going to try to keep that up for a few more days.

Did better diet wise today, but didnt go to the gym.

raspberry yogurt - 50 cals
brown rice stir fry with mushrooms, peppers, carrot and bacon, with prawn crackers - 627 cals
chocolate - 125 cals

So all together 1462 cals :)

Im at home most of the time now revising for exams, so lots of oppurtunity to snack... But at least I have some healthy things to snack on!
 
Well Ive managed to resist weighing myself since the 1st of May, pretty good going for me lol :D

Been going to the gym doing mostly strength training for a while, its fun and Id like to keep it up but I feel I should find a way to work in more areobic exercise aswell. Ive always liked the idea of learning self defence, make me feel a bit less helpless lol! But Ive never done it. Maybe I should find one that gets the heart pumping and join a class or something...

I couldnt beleive it last night when I worked out how many calories were in the lasagne we made, 1000 cals in a portion :eek: we will not be having that again any time soon! I guess its all the pasta, cheese, sauce, etc.

But yesterday was not a disaster by any means:

fruit and fibre cerial with semi skimmed milk - 200 cals
sweet chilli chiken wrap - 300 cals
pretzels - 95 cals
lasagne - 1000 cals

So altogether 1595 cals

Statistics exam revision today, woo :confused:
 
ah but that once in a while treat lasagna is soooo good :) hope you enjoyed it...

Good luck with the statistics exam... that was one of my favorite classes in college :D
 
Oh yes Id be lieing if I said I didnt enjoy it :D

Thanks Mal :) I do like statistics better then the more strict maths we had to do last year, its also better then electronics lol. Still theres other subjects I enjoy more :)

Sophie: Nope Im not doing A levels, im at University :) im doing a computing degree but it includes bits of math, statistics, electronics, business, etc. I never did do a levels, did a BTEC at college instead.

M2M: Oh yes the lasagne was good, you could taste every last calorie :D

I am nursing a substantially milder hangover then the one I wrote about on here previously, went out with Uni friends to celerbrate my 20th birthday last night. Im getting old :rolleyes:

I beleive the reduced symptoms were due to me getting through less alcohol so thats a step in the right direction lol.
 
I dont understand, a week ago I weighed myself and I was 137, yesterday I was 140 and today I was 142! :eek:

I realise I fell off the wagon in a big way this weekend as it was my birthday, then I turned around and gave my diet a good kicking, but really to gain 5lbs!

Lets try to remember what I had....

Friday evening:
Pizza
alcohol (cocktails, alcopops, mixers, etc)
burger
more alcohol
bacon bap and chips
more alcohol

Saterday:
Strawberries
Cashew nuts
Chicken breast subway sandwhich with lite mayo and salad
Popcorn

Sunday:
Fruit and fibre cerial
Jacket potato with bacon and cheese
half a steak
hotdog
chocolate

Monday:
Fruit and fibre cerial
toast
chocolates
pasta bake
garlic bread

Ok thats pretty bad, infact I feel awful as I write it but to actually gain 5lbs would need an excess of 17500 cals. All that food together probably adds up to about that. But my body must have been living off of something for those days!

Grrr, im tempted to throw my ticker and scale in the bin :mad:

Ok lets clam down now, I will set my ticker to about 140lbs, eat and drink well for a few days then Ill weigh again and see where im at.

I cant be mad, after all I had a rocking birthday weekend! :D
 
some of the weight gain might be water retention - so don't worry so much about it - it's a brand new day... you know what you need to do.. so hop back up on the wagon and go forward... :D

Well I kept it below 1400 cals a day and drank plenty of water and as of this morning I was back to 138, yay :rotflmao:
My body seems to be more resiliante to my occasional diet bashings then I give it credit for! Not that thats an excuse of course.
Well its going to have to be a quick stop today, electronics exam tomorrow I should be revising for, but I had to go out to the docs so I couldnt revise this morning.
 
Well Ive had the electronics exam, could have been worse.... At least its over now :D thats 1 down and 3 more to go, next one on monday. So I really ought to be revising now. Il probly get an hour or so in today, see how it goes.

I had pizza for lunch today, not something I normally do but I was stuck in uni and needed something to eat. Then I had a pack of M&Ms to make it up to £3 so I could pay by card since I had no cash.

So so far today im up to around 1000 cals already, need to be careful tonight.
