Ok! I'm going to start off slowly. Usually I go in all guns blazing and I don't last, so this time I'm going to take it one step at a time.
First I'm going to eat well, I'm not going to count calories, I'm just going to be sensible, healthy food, lots of fruit and veges, sensible portions and no sweet things. I don't have enough will power at this stage to 'just have a little' chocolate, if it's in the house, I will eat it, so its better to just stay away. If I can do that for seven days in a row, and I'm happy with my effort, then I'll go on to step 2.
Step 2 will be incorporating exercise, another thing I'm terrible at. I will walk once a day around the town circumference (I live in a very small town - theres not far to go) with Mikayla in her stroller. So I'm not just setting an empty goal, I'm going to try to associate the walks to Mikayla's benefit - she needs fresh air and sunlight for her own health, and by going for these walks I'm being a better mother to her. Eventually I will extend these walks, by driving up to the mountain and using the walking tracks up there once or twice a week. If I keep this up for a month I will move on to step 3.
Step 3. During the evenings I will use my exercise ball while watching telly. I don't do this because I'm embarrassed to exercise infront of my husband, but I'm going to bite the bullet and just do it, I know he won't make fun of me, I'm just very self conscious. I will have one exercise free day a week.
After the first two month of my new programme, I will review my progress and adjust it if necessary.
