PS - Donna23 I have tried so many times to tape his laughter but when he sees the camera he just flashes his toothless smile LOL :) Maybe I will try to make him laugh and have my hubby tape it?? We'll see...

keep up the good work. It sounds like you have a really good grasp of what you need to do to get those extra pounds off. Good thing you don't like junk food, which is my downfall.

Have you ever thought about exercising first thing in the morning ? That way you are not dreading it all day, it gives you a jump start to your day and also at the end of the day, you know it's already been done !

I usually go for my walks in the morning after my daughter and I have breakfast. I look forward to it.
 
or next time you serve peas, have it sitting on the counter pointed towards him. If no one is holding it, he might not know it's on.

I'm not big on cooking so what I do with the asparagus is put it on a big plate with mushrooms (not sure why, but I love mushroom/asparagus combo);sprinkle a little bit of spices on it, cover it with plastic wrap; and microwave it for 5 minutes.

Thanks for the advice! Before I was pregnant, morning was always my FAV workout time. It is so inconsistent now...for my cardio at least. Our treadmill iS in our bedroom and that is my FAV basic piece of cardio equipment, b/c I can track miles, cals, etc. My husband sometimes goes into work at 12 noon and sleeps late or is off in the middle of the week and sleeps in - this occurs AT LEAST 4 times a week. So I just found that night time was the most consistent no excuses time - I just need to buckle down and do it:D ! I jogged three miles tonight and felt great!

I believe I can do a DVD in the morning - Pilates with the ball or some resistance training - that type of WO I can do with interruptions (baby waking, etc). That way I will have some type of WO completed! :eek: I am going to work REALLY hard and stick with my cardio 4 times a week at night.

WOW! My little boy and I go for a walk every morning too! I found that it helps to reset his body clock - the day we started he began sleeping through the night from 8/8:30 p - 6:30/7 am! We go for a leisurely stroll and say "Good Morning" to the ducks and sometimes feed them breakfast :D LOL THANKS a bunch for your advice - please keep it coming!!

12 noon Chicken & Roasted Garlic stuffed Ravioli w/ Spinach in Marinara Sauce (350)

1:30 pm 1 Caramelized Banana (110) - just couldn't resist!!! :p

3:30 pm Spinach, Mushroom & Cheese Pizza; Baby Carrots w/ 1 T Light Done Right 3 Cheese Ranch dressing (361)

6:30 pm 2 c lettuce; 1/4 c cucumber; 1 T real bacon bits; 2 Cinnamon-Splenda breadsticks; a couple of banana chips (200)

Total cals: 1451 - not bad for a breastfeeding mama!!
Total WO cals: 400 - 3 mile jog (extra cals not accounted for - ab work on ball and LOTS of bouncing on it - I joined my son as he bounced in his Jumparoo - no idea how many cals this is :confused: - LOL)

Over 128 oz of water - I stopped counting after the 4th 32 oz cup! :D

Hey Jelly - guess who else LOVES to drink water - my 6 month old. Every time he sees me drinking out of my big cup - he gets what I call happy feet :D !! It's funny now, but while I was pregnant they weren't called happy feet JUST KIDDING - kinda :eek: !! Anyway, when I drink - he wants a drink. BUT he will only drink out of an identical 32 oz cup - it is so funny! I am raising a Water Lover - I know you will be proud LOL ;)

Keep up the gr8 work busy mommy!My little guy will be turning 5 months
set 3rd and he has 2 teeth already completely in he loves his babyfood
he likes the gerbert organic 1's because of the wierd flavors I am guessing.
He hates carrots peaches squash and bananahs!He loves sweet potatoe soufle(fancy baby food lol) green beans apple sauce peas pears!
He is a smiler I take tons of pictures all the time I have a ball with my digatal camera.

Today my hubby and I took our little one to the Children's Museum! He had a BALL! They have a special section for 0-2 yrs called "The TOT SPOT". He made a friend and they spoke their special language and laughed and laughed! He is so social - just like his mommy :D!

12 noon Shrimp, Corn & Clam Chowder; 1 cornbread muffin; 1 fresh peach (507) WHEW!! Could have done without the cornbread - but it felt sacreligious...being from the South and all :D!

6 pm 2 Black bean tostadas w/ 2 T salsa (210)

7:30 pm 1/4 rice krispie treat; 1/2 c grapes (70)

Total cals today: 1452 :D

Currently nursing my 4th 32 oz cup of water - 128 oz when I'm finished with it tonight!

Time to go WO! See you tomorrow - I will weigh in and hopefully be able to change my ticker LOL ;) ! Thanks so much for the encouragement!

Today wasn't a good day!

:( I was riding on cloud nine from my 6 lb weight loss and let my guard down. I am so upset that I almost didn't post - but I realized that this is a journey - the good, the bad and the ugly!! I over ate today by about 500 calories!! :eek:

I feel good about 3 things:

#1 - That it even bothers me LOL! There was a time, not so long ago, when I would not have cared. But I do care and I am ready to lose this weight once and for all. I will not be the one to sabotage my success my carelessly eating whatever!! WOW - I kind of scared myself there!!

#2 - The foods that made up that extra 500 cals where just mindless nibbling on pretty healthy things - not an all out pig feast at the Chinese buffet! Been there done that!!! :eek:

#3 - Instead of punishing myself with a lot of negative self talk and emotionally binging on pizza, etc. I sat down caught up on my water (one of the things that led to me eating more I think), got out 3 pictures of myself at or near 120 lbs - posted one on the fridge, one on the treadmill and one on my nightstand - and celebrated that the "pin up girl" that I want to look like is ME! I have been close to my goal (I was 125 until end of 2002) and I believe that I CAN DO IT AGAIN!! Thank God tomorrow is a new day!!

Total cals for the day: 1849 !!!! :eek: :confused: :(

Wow Diva.. 6 pounds is awesome!!!!! All in favor of making Diva the resident chef say aye. AYE! Your stuff sounds so yummy. I will have to figure that picture thing out. I haven't taken a picture of myself yet. Im scared:( Maybe I should get over it. Maybe I should stop talking to myself:rolleyes: Well good job, keep on keeping on.

Today- 1500 Mon-1300 Tues-1600 Wed-1300 Thur-1400 Fri-1300 Sat-1400

I'd like to round out the month and lose 8 lbs total! = 2 more to go! We will see...:p

You all (or as we say here in the great state of TEXAS - y'all) are a RARE breed - it's not often that you find women who are confident enough to pay another woman a compliment and provide continual support! I appreciate you and believe me I am returning the graciousness right back even as you read this :D!!

Today was an okay day! I did some "health nut" baking and got carried away with my cals today - but thanks to zig-zagging I will just replace today's high cals with tomorrow's and make tomorrow my low cal day! I also got carried away with my exercise cals as well - YAY!!

8 am French Vanilla EAS (100)

9:30 am Fruit and Cream (150)
Strawberries, Blueberries, Kiwi, red grapes, pineapple, 1/4 c ff
cottage cheese; 1/4 t brown sugar Splenda; 2 T whipped topping

Total water: 144 oz - I was REALLY thirsty today after my WO
Total exercise: 30 minutes toning; 30 minutes jogging w/ random incline; 30 minutes walking = 1.5 hours = 680 cals YAYYYY!!! and I actually ENJOYED every last minute of it - go figure! :p

things, I like to try somewhat to keep variety
