Disciple's Run

How are you going about counting your calories? Where are you getting the nutritional data from?

Did you ever look into fitday.com?

It would be great if you started using that regularly so we could get a handle of what your calorie intake looks like each day of the week. This way we can pinpoint particular days of the week or instances that tend to send you into binges and the like.

Layout as in food selection?

It's fine for not. I'm not too concerned with food selection at this point... I'm more concerned with quantity.

Granted, malnutrition can lead to greater hunger than otherwise would be expected but you have a nice balance of food so I wouldn't sweat that.

I highly suggest signing up to fitday. I can't stress that enough.

ehhhh....its not looking to cool for me lol.... but i might give it a swing....but so my food layout for today looks good??? as far as calories and variety and just all around being ok??? or should i change anything about it?

ok so far right now i have consumed

2 nutrition drinks 480 cals

and 2 pks oatmeal 200 cals in an hour i will eat one turkey samich

i signed up but i cant even log what i have eaten so far they dont have the boost nutritional drinks or the correct calorie count for the oatmeal i eat....its just the plain flavored pack of oatmeal and i use hot coffee to make it instead of water and i use splenda to sweeten it :D it makes it taste like coffee flavored oatmeal dont judge me ok lol

thats why its not looking too cool....but the coffee has no calories and the splenda has too few cals to count

You can create custom foods and input the nutritional data yourself.

Look, you've been logging your intake throughout this entire journal.

Right?

But you're only logging the days your food is under control.

If this was a daily occurrence, your weight wouldn't be where it is right now. You would've lost a lot of fat.

I'm not trying to harp on you, at all. I'm trying to work with you to find a system that holds you more accountable and allows us to see when your good days are AND when your bad days are.

Fitday is the perfect platform for that.

You seem hung up on me "okaying" your menu you just posted. What I'm saying is you posting these low calorie days isn't working b/c your weight hasn't really done much since signing up here.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

You don't want to be a fly who keeps banging his face against a closed window. You're much smarter than that. If something isn't working, you need to reassess.

We also need to be absolutely sure that your estimated intake for the day is accurate. For instance, your two turkey sandwiches seem low to me.

I agree that the sandwich look a little low. I have a turkey sandwich everyday for lunch. Each slice of Whole Wheat Bread is 100 calories and the turkey is 60 for 3 slices. That is 260 calories for a dry sandwich. If you are eating 2 of those you are looking at closer to 500+ calories

I appreciate you saying so.

And yes, I am straight forward, but I typically only stick around for those clients or forum members who appreciate real advice.

I'm not much for coddling, but I'm far from militant too. It's hard to read my persona through a forum, unfortunately. I'm sure some people think I'm a mean guy... but it's far from true.

I'm honest and try and rid the fluff and bullshit from the table as soon as possible so we can work on the core issues at hand. Granted, for some this requires some finesse as there's a fine line between hurting someone's feelings and truly helping them.

I feel Disciple and I have been communicating long enough that we're able to communicate on the level we are, though. And if we're not, I'd hope he'd speak up.

In Disciple's case, I figure he has enough coddling and back-patting on WLF that I don't need to add to it.

How many slices of bread though. You said 2 sandwiches, so I'd assume 4.

How many calories are in each slice?
