Hey Disciple, I'm just stopping by to say hello! I hope you have a good day today!
word? cool man thank you well i am proud to say that yesterday was drug and alcohol freei had alot of help though especially from a spicy hot latina chick on the site
thanks...i ate good yesterday and i have my oatmeal right now
i just need to get my but to the gym only thing is i am scared of what that scale will say.............UGGGGHHHH i hate being fat.......

Trash your scale.
Lock that shit in your closet and don't look back. You're allowing yourself to be an emotional slave to it. You base how you feel about yourself and your progress solely on what the scale says.
What you should be basing your emotional well being and sense of accomplishment on is the steps you took today. Have a checklist if you will:
- I ate my target calories
- When I got hungry and wanted to binge, I simply loaded up on high nutrient density foods that are low in calories such as spinach, broccoli, carrots, snow peas, string beans, fruits, etc.
- I did some form of exercise today which will help expend additional calories and improve my health and strength
- I read over my list of values and goals when I woke up and before I went to sleep to keep my "unconscious eye" on the prize
On and on it goes.
You see, progress doesn't come from the scale. It's a cause & effect relationship. What the scale says is an effect of various causes. If you focus on the right causes each day, the scale has but no choice to be effected positively.
It's really that simple.
hahahaha you're killin me! im glad yesterday was a sucess.. lets make a pattern!!!! have you started journaling? i started on monday.. just random thoughts food logging and prayers![]()
In response to, "how will I know if I'm making progress?"
Faith.
Have faith man.
Faith in the fact that if you consistently adhere to the small steps day in and out, weight will head in the direction it's supposed to.
The small steps ensure that you're expending more calories than you're eating each day and if you're in a calorie deficit, your body has no choice but to lose weight.
do i have to lol....i hate journaling its a nother project i have to kleep up with

word....i just ate a salad for lunch and i will eat another pack of oatmeal here in about an hour that will put me at like 800 cals then i will eat dinner too![]()

So 800 cal thurout the day then dinner, like what 300 or 400 cal?? That not nearly enough. What about healty snacks and some dang protien brotha thruout the day. You will crash and burn if you only have 1000 cal a day. I know I would. Dont be scared of food. We gotta deal with it. I had a hella hard time last night with the corned beef. I should have never made it. Its super salty and its not a lean meat to begin with. Good thing is, I only put a few red potatoes with it so the rest of the fam gobbled that up and I stuck with the veggies and my reg portion of the meat..blahhhhhhhhh soo salty!! I threw the rest away. Anyways, we have to be open to experimenting and cooking, yessss cooking. We can still count calories as we should but you know you should have more calories than what it seems you are taking in.![]()
You're 500 lbs.
Yet you say you're forcing yourself to stuff down food b/c you aren't hungry and you're not even eating half of what your body needs. Not even close.
What do you propose is maintaining your weight?
Is it your binges?
The is the fact that is worrying me. To maintain 500 lbs requires an awful lot more energy than what you're saying you're eating.
So either you're not telling us everything you're eating.
Or you're eating a lot during your binges and you're either forgetting about that or only telling us about your good days.
This disconnect needs to be bridged if you're going to lose weight.
I'm not suggesting you're lying. But people can fool themselves to the point they believe just about anything.
You listed that you ate 1800 calories yesterday.
You honestly feel that you eat that level of calories every single day of the week?
Because if you do, what you're saying is:
a) Your body is magic and can create energy (fat) our of nothing
b) You have some sort of medical condition that is unheard of to date
With regards to (a), to maintain 500 lbs requires at least 3 times the amount of food you're eating, if not more.
With regards to (b), obese individuals enter clinics or are researched more than just about any other subset of the population and there's never been a person who, once placed on a clinically controlled diet, didn't lose weight.
I'm not being a hard ass here. I'm trying to get to ONE OF the core issues at play here.
