Diet take 2

I haven't been on this site for a few years and I'm sad to say I've put on even more weight! My main weakness is alcohol :( but I need to cut down to shift the weight! Over the last couple of weeks I've been exercising more and its made me think its time to properly do something about my weight. I don't want to be fat forever so this time I'm going to do it!

So the diet starts... now!

So plan of action:

1. Eat a proper healthy breakfast!

2. Only drink alcohol once or twice a week

3. No fizzy pop

4. Exercise everyday

Hopefully this will be a good start :)

alcohol is a big weakness for me aswell. it's probably where i gained all my weight.
you're on the right track. i will only drink on weekends now with my friends. and if you're determined, you wont even want any drunk munchies (i didnt)
anyway, you're off to a good start already. i will be checking back :)
 
Thanks toolips! Yeah I think alcohol was the main reason I gained so much weight aswell. Damn those empty calories! The drinking on weekends with friends is a good idea, I might try that as well, having no alcohol in the house will probably make it easier to resist having a sneaky drink or two. Good luck with your weight loss as well!

I've had cornflakes for breakfast and no fizzy pop like I normally would. Thinking I'll have an apple at my first break at work and then a jacket potato for dinner. Not sure about tea yet... Guess it depends what my family decide while I'm at work.
 
Same with me I've tried to cut out the beer and just drink at weekends with friends, chocolate is my weakness now though, can't resist it:(

Good luck kikijohn! I can normally resist chocolate it's the savoury stuff I crave D:

Ok so first day I've had
Breakfast: A bowl of cornflakes and glass of water
Dinner: jacket potato with cheddar cheese an ribena
Tea: ham sandwich (on White bread, we don't have any other ATM) and a bag of wallets cheese and onion crisps. Glass of water.

No snacks as of yet but if I feel hungry later I may have some fruit. No booze tonight! Now I'm just off for a 40-50 min walk with the dog and may do 10-20 mins on the exercise bike later.

Didn't get a chance to go on the bike last night, hopefully will tonight! But did do a 2 mile walk with the dog.

So far today I've had
Heinz spaghetti on toast or breakfast with a cup of tea
Ham salad sandwich with crisps for dinner with water
An apple as a snack

Not sure what to have for tea tonight, something without bread would be good!
 
O walking 2 miles with the dog is good too! Great job on starting your weightloss journey! Your goals look really healthy :) I love fizzy pop! We got a 24 pack and I drank it for the week and gained like 5 pounds it was crazy. I'm sure I was eating other junk too but I just remember thinking WOW!

I envy that you can walk by chocolate! I can walk by alcohol just fine but if there's some sort of baked good that has cream cheese or chocolate then I find that very hard to resist!

Yeah fizzy pop is going to be hard haha I'm only on day 2 really and already thinking I might just have a sneaky diet coke... I guess in moderation it's ok but I'll try and resist lol you hide the alcohol from me and I'll hide the sweets from you :p

I've had a weight watchers lasagne and a few chips for tea with a glass of water. walked the dog and now to go on the exercise bike! Still feeling motivated so far (my family even asked me if I wanted pizza for tea and I declined!)
 
I had a cookie bar as a snack tonight, probably shouldn't have :( kept off the pop and alcohol for another day though! Really looking forward to my dinner tomorrow. I've cooked a chicken breast with some tandori spice on it and done some pasta then added salad and peas. It's all ready waiting for me in the fridge haha.

I think tea is always going to be the main struggle... my family will want to grab the quickest (and usually unhealthiest) thing possible. I need to think up some healthy ideas we will all enjoy. Shame I'm such a fussy eater.
 
Thank you toolips! I didn't expect that! I thought maybe a lb but I'm so happy :) gives me motivation to stay off the booze and pop a bit longer

hahaha it's amazing what little changes do.
i watched my sister lose 40-50 lbs from only drinking on weekends. so keep doing what you're doing, and enjoy yourself once in awhile!!
 
Yeah, I was a little naughty for tea. Had chicken nugget and wedges for tea but went on another 2 mile walk so hopefully I won't have put it all back on xD had cornflakes for breakie and my chicken/pasta/salad for dinner. I'm thinking tomorrow I might have a lager or 2 :)
 
Congrats on the 3 pound loss! I think as long as you start thinking more about how much you are consuming you will do fine. The weight should get off and then once it slows down you can always start being more strict but the great thing about the starting is that you just lose weight without having to be 100%. Keep doing the good stuff :)
 
Finally back online! My net has been down for a few days so I haven't been able to post!

Anyway I've been a little naughty this weekend, we had a pizza and I had alcohol one day more than I said I would D: Back on it properly this morning though! Had cornflakes for breakfast. Not sure what to have for dinner...possibily pasta.

Although I was naughty I did do a longer walk than normal yesterday, I would say about 2.5-3 miles and went on the exercise bike for 10 minutes. Won't have burnt off the pizza and booze but better than nothing I guess! I'm thinking of trying to do some sit ups or something today.

I weighed myself this morning and I'm still at the same weight but I'm also on my time of the month so feel all bloated and meh.
