Diary - Part 2

Did day 3 lv1 of 30day shred today. Without dumbbells. Felt a lot easier. Think i'll add dumbbells to tomorrows workout. :)

I'm doing 30 day shred as well now. Day 4 of level 1 later today.
Well ahead of schedule with the weight loss, good job!

Yesterday did day 3 of the shred without dumbbells and didn't feel good after at all. Didn't feel like a workout. Added 1kg dumbbells today and feel battered. Feels good. :)

My calories are still not going up. Yesterday i fell asleep while putting the babies to sleep. Not great. Have to eat before putting them to sleep really.

Are you taking any rest days? I've taken 1 already this week. You probably don't need to after insanity!

You are building some stamina...Great!

Thank you :) Does feel good to be going back to my old self. Pregnancies have made me unfit.

I didn't read this whole thread but from what I did read, sounds like your doing really well.

Thank you. So far so good. Nearly halfway there.:)

The exercise will add spring to your step and give you more energy all day if you stick to it. I am getting some of that myself finally.

Thx, I just ordered it :)
I don't want to hijack your thread so will make a new one with my thoughts on the program.

Day 5, how you feeling?

There are no rest days included in this program but i'm choosing to do 2 days and rest 1 day. Today's a rest day. Day 1 was by far the worst. Needed a rest after 3mins. Now I can get through most of it. I started without dumbbells and day 3 didn't feel like a workout. Day 4 added dumbbells(1kg each) and it made me work again. Nowhere near like day 1 thou. It's a very good short but intense workout. Good with kids when you don't have much time ;). Still can't do a press up...

A rest day sounds good, I did see she says no rest days but we all know our own bodies the best and our limits.
I have a toddler and one on the way so late night feedings will be making me take rest days for certain.

Lol, I like the throwing darts idea,

Haha brawny I don't think my arms would be up for it after the workout.

Nostalgic - how soon after baby do you plan on starting exercise? I started at 3months but i think i could have handled it at 2. Just got into it slowly.

I'm hoping 2 months max, it all depends on when I can start the pelvic floor muscle retraining and when she gives the ok.
( here In France you go to a special doctor who helps re-train you, free of charge)
I will walk lots though as soon as possible.

I can understand 3 months as well as that's what I did after my first.
Besides from walking I didn't get into sport until 3 months.

How old is yours? My son turned 2 on the 1st of may.

My youngest is 3 months. Then i got 2 others at 2 and half and 1 and half. This is the first time i'm exercising since I got pregnant with my first. Not easy!

Hey! I've been away for a while myself. I've had two babies since then too (one is 2.5 and one is 8 months). I'm breastfeeding as well and I've been told that it burns around 500 cals a day. So keep that in mind, if you eat too few calories it will eventually take a toll on your milk supply! I applaud you for starting back at it so soon, woth three kids and one being 3 months old. I'm having a really hard time finding time and I just have 2! I'm going to start the Focus T25 on Monday though (workouts are 25 mins). I'll have to do it once the kids are in bed from the evening (earliest would be 9:30 pm)... yay! :p lol

Risty- i think i have been having too few calories. Have tried to up them. The problem is i dont get time to prepare and eat. Its easier to grab and go with the young ones and i dont like to jump for the unhealthy options always. Need to stock up on healthy calorific snacks
I do my exercise 7:30am while hubby sorts the girls. Its a 20min workout and i'm done and showered within 45mins. And then i'm on the go till bedtime. Its 9:00 before they're all asleep so i completely understand where you're coming from.
