Diary of MNexercisegirl

Do you have access to a sauna or steam room? 15 mins in either one usually makes me feel 100% better when I have the grunge.

I'm getting started again.

Got on the treadmill at 5am today. I'm planning on doing that circuit workout I read in the Oxygen magazine: Squats, Rows, deadlift, bench press, lunges, shoulder press, curls, etc. Looks like a good workout and my legs have been feeling the flab since I got back.

After-run: Enviga - Green Tea, water
Breakfast: PB/honey sandwich, green apple slices, green tea
AM Snack: Protein bar, fruit cup
Lunch: ?
PM snack: Protein bar, fruit cup
Dinner: ?

OK so I didn't do the circuit workout today during lunch.
Lunch workout:
Squats: 95 lbs 12x3
1 Arm Row: 25 lbs 12x3
Lunge (with 1 leg on bench): no weights 12x3
Deadlift: 55 lbs 12x3
Lateral raises: 5 lbs 20x3
Abs: Ball crunch 15x3, flutter kicks 40x3, side crunch 15x3, plank 15 breaths x3, Superman 15 breaths x 2.

Lunch: Hot and Sour Soup, stir fried green beens, beef with green peppers

Thanks Photocrazed! I'm feeling rushed today. Husband is sick and I didn't get a run in this morning. I woke up at 515 and though it was 445. Blah. To top it all off, I had to take both kids and got in REALLY late this morning.

So far my eating has been worse:
Breakfast: Coffee+sugar+cream, goldfish crackers
AM snack:?
Lunch: ?
PM Snack: ?
Dinner: ?

Fit day has been working. I'm seeing that I'm eating a lot of fat. Need to cut that down. Baby steps...

Good morning! I love goldfish crackers, you get to have so many of them in a serving.

Sounds like you're doing great!

Thanks Llamabean! Comments like these make me :D .

Lunch: Lobster Bisque and roll (Byerly's)

Byerly's has the best soups. I was hoping the Tomato Basil was available. The Lobster Bisque was REALLY good, but I couldn't find the nutritional information on Calorie King. Their soups are usally not too bad on the fat and calories so I chose one that I thought was close.

Anyway, Fitday is really showing me that I have a problem with my fat intake. seriously. I really gotta start these baby steps....

...you just had to bring that up didn't you! :p

One day, I'm gonna have to fly up there just for that soup, and I'm going to do it too!

AM Snack: half salmon wrap
Lunch: Caterpillar roll and vegetables
PM Snack: half salmon wrap

Workout: Weights hopefully during lunch.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who battles the "too much fat"...I think I start off every other food diary entry with "sat fat too high" .

p.s. Salmon is my seriously favorite food..did you ever try it for breakfast...makes a really, really good egg white soufle:)

Before Fitday I really thought I was eating low fat and low and behold, the truth comes out and hits ya in teh face like a tree branch. I've been using Calorie King to help with some of my foods because I'm very clueless about portion sizes.

I love salmon too. I used to eat it for breakfast when I was a stay at home mom and would have it with some scrambled egg whites, spinach, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. But since working, breakfast has been on the go and I'm seeing that I'm not getting enough protein in. I usually have salmon for dinner, baked with some low calorie asian ginger dressing and soysauce. It's so good...

I got hit with more flu stuff this weekend. I spend my days sleeping and got maybe a totaly of 1000-2000 calories since Friday. I had to order pizza last night just to get enough calories in my body. I'm still feeling the after affects and I don't think I'm totally out of the water. My head still throbs if I get up too fast and my joints still ach. But I'm at work doing something other than sleeping. At times my head hurts so much that I find myself clenching my teeth. Eating and exercising this week is not going to be good.

Just stopping in to say hello, and that I hope you feel better!

Eating healthy (eating enough or trying not ot over eat) when sick is hard, but you can do it!
