That is shocking Val! Who in the hell brings their own TG food??! What will you be eating while everyone else is munching on yummy turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, pies et al. You a nut woman!

I thought the same thing. Man, if anyone showed up at my house for T-day with their own food, I'd be very insulted. At our gatherings, there's somthing for everyone. Of course, we all bring a few dishes, so you'd still be able to bring a few of your favorite things..lol. We had all kinds of veggies--yams, 2 kinds of squash, broccoli and cauliflower, corn, mashed potatoes, etc.

Hope you had a great day, and enjoy meeting up with Tom.
 
Hey Val!! :) hehe, you would be welcome to bring your own food to our thanksgiving, we have some vegetarians in the family and there's always some version of tofurkey or mac & cheese, but then the vegetarians have to be up for some shit talking, lol. I hope you had a great one. you sound great.

I'm back!

Hey I just got lazy as all hell!!!

Thanksgiving was fantastic, I had a blast. Friday I had a blast at my boyfriend's parents' house (BTW I am not going to refer to him as The Asshole anymore, he's behaving like an angel, treating me like a princess, and it's best that I not put out negativity regarding that). Saturday I had the Salvation Army dude come over and get my old Honda to donate. Sunday I had Ali over and we had a delicious dinner and dessert, and wine. Monday I had a good day, and the BF invited me over to his house last night for cuddling and lovemaking :beating:

Today was a great day as well. I haven't been weighing myself nor have I been tracking calories, BUT I have made nearly every meal I eat very healthy and low on the GI. EXCEPT Sunday night I had veggie pizza with a cornbread crust (ahem, along with an absolutely fabulous salad :D) and dessert was Rice Milk Carrot Cake Ice Cream. I nearly had an orgasm while eating, it was so good :)

Anyway, I did resistance training (1 hour), elliptical work (30 min) and yoga (1 hour) at the gym yesterday and I did kickboe and ab lab this evening. After visiting my old housemate at his work before coming home and having a beer, I weighed myself: 149.5 lbs at the end of the day! All right! I was 151 when I was on my period last week. SO tomorrow I should still be about 149 ish.

I have A LOT of catching up to do.......BIG SIGH!! :svengo:

I think you're really smart for listening to your body as opposed to saying "Fuck it" and slamming it hard, balls out. (aka 'overworking your body' for those of you who are thinking, "wtf did that bitch just say?") I've been doing the same thing on this end. I didn't want to overtrain, then suddenly hurt myself, so I've taken a few days off here and there, just until I can say, "Alright, now it's time to get into "Bitch Mode." (Which will be tomorrow..lol) Anyways, I hope you had a blast with the family (I agree with Claudia.. they sound awesome!) and TG treated you right, girly. Talk to you soon, mami.

Disclaimer: EVERYBODY LISTEN UP. I FOUND THAT ONE CANNOT TRAIN AS HARD AS SHE CAN FOREVER. AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS, INJURIES START TO OCCUR. STEVE WAS RIGHT; YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW/WHEN TO BACK OFF. IT'S HARD (EXERCISE IS MAJORLY ADDICTIVE) BUT TRUST ME, YOUR BODY WILL NOT GO SOFT FOR A LOOOOOOONNNNG TIME. ALSO, I FOUND THAT EVEN IF YOU CUT WAY THE FUCK BACK, IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH FATIGUE ACCUMULATED, IT ACTUALLY BENEFITS YOUR BODY. I LEARNED AN IMPORTANT LESSON.
