Okay so I have been wanting to tell you this for a while...........
I think that you are looking GREAT!!!!!
I can't wait until I am as fit looking as you are.
As I say that I also know that we as individuals know our bodies better than anyone else can, so if you still feel that you need/want to lose another 5 pounds then I say go for it!!!!
I had someone tell me today that they couldn't believe that I still wanted to lose another 30 pounds! On the one hand it felt nice to think that they thought I looked good right where I am at. But on the other hand I know that they have no "real" idea how I look inside my clothes. That and I still weigh 198 and that is just not an acceptable stopping point.
So have at it girlie! If anyone can do it is you!!
Between you and Kim I have never seen any two people with more determination!!!!
You Go GIRL!!!!

Joe: Aww thanks! I'm always better focused in the winter anyway--especially January-April. I'm looking to be at my ultimate goal then. Can I keep it off during the summer?!?! That's the biggest challenge.

Both my dad and grandma (paternal) died around July, of 2003 and 2006. I think this impacts my summer stress on some level. Summer 2007 was hell, due to the AIL. I have optimism for 2008--it's the best I can do.

Beauty Bells: Thanks, and I LOVE your attitude and body image! Everywoman needs to feel that way :beating:

Amy: YES! I drank Pom for a long time but switched to Acai for the omega fatty acids (AND antioxidants).

James: Thank you! MH4L!! You should have seen me at this Halloween party full of Jujitsu fighters--it was all talks about workouts, cutting diets, and training programs--I was in heaven!

Cerella Hi Chicky! I hope you're feeling all right, and don't give in to the X!!!!

Bells: Thank you! Yes, I'm determined, but stress and heartache make me eat :( I'm not feeling either lately so I'm gonna ride this muthafuker out as long as I can!

Stacy: Hi Darhlin! Happy TLD!!!

I think I may take today off exercise. My legs are quite sore. It would behoove me to do some yoga, I think--and possibly walking. I have a LOT of things to do before I head to the Bay Area, to sleep at my mom's house. No doubt my parents will want to party tonight :p UGH! LOL!! They're such a trip. For those of you who don't know, my mom is 47 and my stepdad is 37 and they've been married for 10 years, and been together for 15. Mom likes to drink :cheers2:, stepdad like to smoke :sifone:. They're open minded, with a Native American perspective on policts and the Earth and such. They act like teenagers in a refreshing way. Neother are college educated. They're a blast, though.

I'm going to kick it with them tonight, we're going to carpool to Waterford (Central Valley), hang out with Auntie Jane, Uncle Fred (dad's dad's sister's family) with my whole maternal immediate side, and then Friday I'm off to SF to try to catch lunch with Tom & Co. Friday evening it's to the Santa Cruz Mountains for AIL's family's TG dinner. Saturday I have no idea, but Sunday it's back to the Bay to hang with my best girl friend that was MIA but "pulled her head out of her ass" (in her words not mine) and is ready to hang out!

I'll try to take pictures :)

OK, now that's what kinda people I'm talking about! They sound totally fun and cool, I would be QUITE happy to go spend a night hanging out with them. Oh yeah, and I like how moms has picked herself a younger man. Go mommy! Well you enjoy yourself bunny, sounds like you have a great weekend planned. TTYSoon luv :).

Tammy: Thanks and glad I could be of minor help! :) I hope everything works out ok with the H and the "GIRL" situation.

Kimberly: LOL!! FOr those of you who don't frequent Paul's diary, I mentioned a dream I had last night where I had DD breasts and had fun feeling them and being happy. I think it was a celebratory of womanhood kind of dream :D

Claudia: Thanks so much, and yes, everybody likes my parents, I remember when I moved out 5 years ago, and my friends who would party with me at my house came and visited Chad without me and partied with him and my mom. I was both pleased and jealous, LOL!

Paul: Oooh thanks for the hugs! You have a great TG as well!!

Nothing wrong with a day off every now and then!

How do you like yoga? I've asked for some yoga stuff for Christmas and don't really know what to expect!

Hope your Thanksgiving is healthy and fun!!

Update

I left work at about 3pm and ran a few errands (read=bought cat litter, changed cat litter at home). I was tired today for whatever reason, probably because I went into work early (8:30 instead of 1). I was unmotivated, tired, clumsy, bloated, and feeling fat. (read=menstrual). BUT I put on my gear and went to the gym anyway. I did about an hour of weight and resistance training with an emphasis on my upper body and core. I DID do lunges and squats and bun work on all fours (god that sounds awful). Then I hopped on the elliptical for a 30 minute session, but I took it easy and was in the "fat burning zone" instead of cardio. I was too pooped to do a rigorous session and instead did an easy one. I still felt sweat drip all the way down my spine, though.

It's very hard for me to swallow my pride and go from 135 lb barbell squats to squats with NO added weight, and from hour long high impact trail running in the Redwood Forest to 30 minute light elliptical work, but my body means business and she's tired of the intensity and wants a fucking break. The 10 days off exercise didn't do it for her; alas, I must listen, and obey

I don't want to injure myself much more. The rolled ankle, bee sting, and knee injury over the past several months was e-fucking-nough.

I then went shopping at the Natty Food Store because I honestly hate other people's cooking at TG and I was vegan for 3.5 years, so my family is used to me bringing my own food. ;) SO I got some food, and I just finished my talapia and arugula (my body told me: eat arugula) salad with cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, garlic and avocado and balsamic vinaigrette. I had to eat 2 fillets: I was hungry. But talapia is low cal anyway. I'm currently working on a half bottle of Fess Parker Santa Barbara Pinot Noir, before I drink water and go to bed. I decided to drive to the Bay tomorrow morning instead, I'm exhausted. I'm watching Sex & the City online on some obscure illegal Chinese website ;)

I'll add up calories later. I know I ate well today, having organic yogurt, strawberries and blueberries on my cereal, a tofu sandwich for lunch and some chocolate and Acai juice.

Housemate Tatiana just requested some wine! Time to hang with her :)

That is shocking Val! Who in the hell brings their own TG food??! What will you be eating while everyone else is munching on yummy turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, pies et al. You a nut woman!

I hope you have a gret Thanksgiving Val and good job on listening to your body!

Morning Val Bunny,

I think you're really smart for listening to your body as opposed to saying "Fuck it" and slamming it hard, balls out. (aka 'overworking your body' for those of you who are thinking, "wtf did that bitch just say?") I've been doing the same thing on this end. I didn't want to overtrain, then suddenly hurt myself, so I've taken a few days off here and there, just until I can say, "Alright, now it's time to get into "Bitch Mode." (Which will be tomorrow..lol) Anyways, I hope you had a blast with the family (I agree with Claudia.. they sound awesome!) and TG treated you right, girly. Talk to you soon, mami.

-Sheryl

Hey Val, it looks like I am trailing MGb in each diary. I guess we are making our rounds at the same time!

I hope TG was well. Your parents sound like alot of fun. You're meeting Tom today aren't you? I hope you have a great time!
