I'm having a hard time finding any in Dallas, we have a ton in Austin, Padre, San Antonio on the riverwalk, Galveston, Brownsville, Bridgport, Bandera, Flint, Corpas Christi, Freeport, Grandbury, Montgomery, and a couple more, I think they are all south of Dallas, DARN IT!

My Grandma's older sister lived in Pebble Beach for over 40yrs. She died a couple years ago--would've been 90 yesterday had she lived. Her house sold for $1.3million and it was just an old ranch in need of updating. I need to be a realtor out there!! haha. Pebble Beach isn't far from you, is it? About an hour, I'd guess.

Pebble Beach is one of the richest resorts I know of around here....GEEZ the $$$ on this coast.....

Yes, Detroit is the home of Motown--there's a museum and everything. I'm on the other side of the state, though--the West side is the BEST side..lmao. But in fairness, Detroit has some cool stuff--a nice art institute, a decent zoo, AWESOME Middle Eastern food, The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village to name a few.

Yeah, the realtor out there told me whoever bought the house would probably bulldoze it and rebuild--the lot alone was worth the $2.3million, apparently. It was in a gated community by a famous golf course.

There are no hard, fast rules to how long of a break is required. It's totally dependent on you recoverability, how long you've been training, how hard you've been training, etc.

Most aspects of the muscle are recovered within 72 hours, that is, assuming a normal loading of the muscles.

If you've been crushing it for a while though, you could need a longer layoff than this. Or, at the very least, a deloading period.

Not yet--UPS ground usually takes 3 days after it ships. It shipped Monday, it should be in my mail today or tomorrow--OOOOooooooh I'm so excited!

Just so you know what to expect.... much of what you see me speak about on this forum is not outlined in the book. It doesn't go much into programming and whatnot. If anything, it's lacking in that department. All of their recommendations are very conservative. For instance, I might have a hard time passing that exam at this point knowing what I know from real world experience/applicability vs. what they certification agency wants you to know.

Then you say, "Oh you have to get certified by NSCA" then you say, "By the way NSCA wants you to know stuff that may not even be applicable in real life"!! You fucking Gemini! God I love you! Yea, but that's the kicker.

You have to be certified to be a trainer. No certification is going to teach you everything. Hell, most barely scratch the surface. Granted, most people get a second rate certification and think they're hot shit. But even top notch certifications like NSCA, ACSM, and NASM aren't enough.
 
YOu should turn on the History Channel right now--they're showing a program that talks about all different 50 states. It's very interesting--and might help your geography..lmao.

Geez, ok, 50 states Exam, NSCA and probably the CSCS one too, then the Goddamn STEVE TEST....ok looks like I'll have to spend way less time in WLF...or I'll have to wake up a couple hours early to post...HA!
 
Hi Valerie! Thanks for stopping by my journal (twice!). I know it's less than interesting and lacks drama. I wonder just how many times I can declare myself "awesome" without sounding like a total asshole. Eh, either way, thanks for dropping by.

You know, my brother lives in LA and I have a very good friend who lives out there as well. I prefer your area to southern California. I know Santa Cruz is incredibly vegetarian/vegan friendly, though I guess the same thing can be said about most of California.

Detroit: So, apparently Detroit is such a piss poor, post-inudstrial wasteland, people have resorted to "third world" behavior there. Yes, that's right. I'm talking about urban farming. And no, I'm not talking about super left-wing, hippie/Earthfirst! city-dwelling types. I'm talking about poor as f*ck people who have started hearding goats on "open" city lots because that's more economical and affordable than going to the store to buy milk and meat.

I live in Baltimore and, frankly, we're not that far behind Detroit. In fact, I think we might be in the lead for most murders per capita this year. Pretty awesome.

OMG Michigan is VERY interesting indeed. I'm so ignorant it's disgusting! Please, everybody, tell me about your state--I can tell you anything you need to know about the Central Coast or the Bay Area!

It is SO rich here, Tamara.....you wouldn't believe it, even the homeless only eat organic! No just kidding, that was mean :(
