Food & Exercise

Ok,
B-fast was:
Nature's Gate Millet whole grain cereal, soymilk, & mucho strawberries and blueberries on top with agave nectar for my sweet sweet sweet tooth; 4 oz Açai juice = 500 calories

Peg cancelled, I ran errands and went to work early, took Genie for a longer walk to the beach. It was cool, cloudy, and we saw a 300 lbs or more DEAD MALE SEA LION on the beach! Yuck! His face was rotted away and he had HUGE BALLS! Gross! Ah the circle of life....

Snack: Pre-portioned honey roasted nuts and cranberries, 1/4 cup each, and one square dark chocolate with almonds and currants = 313 calories

Lunch: hommade burrito and 1 Geneva cookie = 445 calories.

Extra: Green tea and agave nectar, 30 calories (agave is 60 calories per tbls, not a low-calorie food but it beats the hell out of refIned sugar!).

Total calories = 1288.

I'm actually full and not hungry at all. To sustain myself I'll drink water and have another cup o tea without agave in an hour or two. Then it's gym from 6-8:30, and dinner at Guy's house. My goal is 1800 calories...............

WOW all of that and you still haven't hit over 1500 calories, that's amazing, and it all sounds soooo good! I'm sure you will not go over your calories for the day, since your being such a good girl lately. :)

No, that's typical, for men AND women to be too pooped at the end of the day. You know what? I think the primo time to fuck is the afternoon. But most people can't do that at that time. What a bummer!

When I was a teenager my boyfriend and I would go have sex at his house (he lived close to school) during lunchtime--it was GREAT and made the last class fly by!

Randy is randy but NOT that randy, he has a daughter only a few years younger than me! :)

Oh, I guess I didn't realize you were that young....oops! Lunchtime sex sounds like fun!! I didn't get to do anything that naughty when I was younger...well, I did do my bosses from work, lol, but that was the worst of it. lol

I'm 25! I think Randy's daughter is 20.......

Oooh la la, a BOSS?!?! No good, girly! ;)

Yes I have been sexually active since 14.5 years, BUT it was all good and I had steady LT boyfriends (2 major ones) throughout high school....eh, and a few flingy flings. :D

oh man, this brings back memories of when sex was fun! lol!!! Sometimes it feels like work! You probably don't know what I mean though. Your right, the bosses were no good...how did you know??? lol j/k!

I know what you mean. A long time ago, about 2003, I was on birth control. The side effects for me were weight gain and low libbido. It got so bad that I was literally NOT horny at all, save for a few brief moments in the afternoon, and my then-boyfriend whom I lived with wanted it all the time....and I was like, "SIGH! OOOOHHHH-KKay...." I had to get off that! I now have a copper IUD, best invention ever:D

3:45 pm

The lunch is almost digested, I'm not gut-hungry, but I can just sense grhelin is on the rise.......this is the critical time to not eat. Better make that tea......

Grrrrr grhelin! :boxing: Take that! I will not give in!

Too late. :rotflmao:

No really, I had ONE Geneva cookie and 1/2 serving pretzals for a 110 calorie snack to go with my tea.

But you know what? That's not bad at all! in fact, that's actually better than the Old Valerie who would have eaten 3 cookies and a couple ounces of pretzals.....

Also, I won't be eating until 9 o'clock tonight! Hmmm that's only 3 hours....ok ok I must admit I don't go much longer than 2-3 hours in between meals and snacks. Maybe that contributes to me being in a healthy BMI range? nah, it's probably because I don't have kids!! Oh and I'm an exercise junkie :drooling: ENDORPHINS!!!!!!!!!

Hey Val-y girl! I know--you're a northern cally girl..lol

You have the yummiest, healthiest foods!

Afternoon sex is good--but I think I prefer late morning sex (after teeth have been brushed..lol). Not sure why. Although I also like the take-me-as-soon-as-we-walk-in-the-door-after-a-night-of-drinking-so-now-I'm-incredibly-horny sex too..lmao. :jump:

Well, I'm waiting to watch the encore showings of South Park and Sarah Silverman show.:jump:

2003

NOT 1800, but I am still HAPPY!!!

With my exerices, I have a suspicion that my caloric needs are more in the 2500 range, and I suspect to lose a pound a week, still--especially if I hit lower days (1700-ish) a couple days a week, and stick around 2000 most days and have one cheat day at maintenance.

I honestly think that I'll lose 5 lbs a month that way, especially with weight training 3xs a week. Of course, I'll have to cut about 2-300 calories every consecutive 5 lbs lost to make up for the adjustment in caloric needs. HOWEVER, for a 135 lb (my elusive, ultimate goal--the "perfect" weight, 5 lbs per every inch over 5 ft), 5'7", 25-year-old female who exercises moderate to heavily, maintenance is 2100-2400. That's still a good amount.

Yesterday's exercise: I feel so good lately, with no alcohol and caffeine only from Jasmine green tea and small amounts of dark chocolate, and adequate sleep and whole, non-processed foods, that I had so much energy yesterday....Weight training was fabulous. I gave my all, and my form was excellent, my breathing was right on tempo, I was sweating a lot, and I was focused and In The Zone. My muscles worked hard but my body was responsive and yeah....only issue is yoga was CANCELLED . I did yoga on my own for 20 minutes, but it was an effort that was relaxed and more for stretching myself out. I burned about 180 calories from my walk with Genie (we went longer than usual yesterday, so it could very well have been more like 200 calories), 400 calories from my intense, heavy AND moderate (thanks Steve) hour long weight session, and probably 100 calories from my 20 minutes of self-instructed yoga.

Net calories: 1323 RMR = 1700, deficit = 377. Plus any burn from weights.

These are the calculations. From my experience, calculations don't mean shit a lot of the time. Some people calculate a HUGE deficit and their weight won't budge. Others calculate a minor deficit and lose. Metabolisms? WHo the fuck can really calculate. Maybe if you turn yourself into Stanford for research...oooh that would be fun! :D

Oh! Duh, Yesterday's Dinner:

GIKIWOWD (Guy I Kick it with on Weekdays) was REALLY nice and bought all organic stuff; we had baby greens, carrots, bell pepper, blue cheese, and large prawns with balsamic vinaigrette for a salad (wow prawns are ridiculously low in calories, ever noticed that?), and I used minimal dressing and blue cheese and piled the carrots and lettuce HIGH. He BBQed salmon, and used no marinade on my piece, per my request. He had some dark chocolate for me, too :) It was very dark and pretty low in calories. Dinner was about 550 calories. Not bad at all! He doesn't normally eat dinner (he just drinks beer) and he's going to Humboldt County (6 hour drive to Northern Northern Cali) this weekend, so he let me take the leftovers, so I have a prawn salad waiting for me when I want it.

Breakfast this morning:

I was naughty this morning and finished off the chocolate bar 264 calories

I also had an ounce of the blue cheese 110 calories

But I had my planned cereal and berries, but I found out the soymilk is only 70 calories per cup instead of 100, because I bought the unsweetened kind (yay for me!) AND I found after eating I had some leftover, so I had about 55 calories of soymilk, 150 calories from my cup of cereal, and about 60 calories from the berries (strawberries and blueberries). I'm to 639 calories this morning, but I am going to skip my mid morning snack. I need to shower and get ready for my organizing job at Peg's, now. I'll be back later.

Oh crap, Peg had to cancel again! This week her son has been very sick and home from school. Therefore I have no second job this week. Oh well, I'm going to run some errands....

OH YEAH!! Now that's the food I would kill for!! EXCELLENT stuff, and I LOVE PRAWNS!! one of my favorites, BUT I can't eat them cold, YUK! You got me thinking Dark chocolate now, I must go by some this afternoon, I didnt realize it was so low in calories if you eat just a small bit, plus I think it has added nutritional value isn't that right???? AHHHH girlie I'm so impressed with you lately, you have no idea. GREAT JOB SISTER!! LOVE YA!
Kim

VBF: Thank you sweetie! It's about time I cracked down on myself! This no drinking thing, like GIKIWOWD said, it probably the best thing I could have done in regards to dieting:

Drinking:
lowers my resistance to junky foods
not only adds empty calories but makes you store fat and screws with your metabolism
gives me the munchies and adds to fat storage and supluses
screws with my sleep patterns, making me tired the next day
Tiredness makes me eat more, as my body says I need energy!
makes me drink caffeinated beverages, to which I am sensitive to
the caffeine screws with my sleep more
And on and on.....to = massive weight gains :(

Mechelle: Yes, being broke BUT having hours and hours to do what I want is...interesting. It's like, free time isn't free, its expensive! Hell! I have savings, I can handle dipping into it here and there before I get my second job. This free time is WONDERFUL!!!! :D

Stacy: You too! Love ya! :beating:
