Turns out it was because I needed orthotics in my shoes. Now I looooooove it!

Congrats on placing 8th, Sonic the Hedgehog!

Interesting, yes many people need special shoes or shoe enhancements--my fast ass cousin (who runs 5 minute miles) has flat feet and he tapes up his feet to make a cushion. He also wears a nose strip. Weird.

Val that is AMAZING. I can't imagine coming in 8th out of 430 women. Congratulations!!! :hug2:

Thanks for the hug! I need it :( Sorry to be a bummer, I am just really pissed off and stressed out this morning because I have to look at rooms to rent, but they're all expensive, and I lost my little notebook that I wrote a bunch of numbers in, and I'm waiting to hear from a man named Adam who seems like the perfect housemate (we talked about it for a while), and I haven't run in 6 days (driving me crazy) and if I have to work this evening then it will be 7 days. Also, I drank too much last night--wine, mmmmh, it was delicious, I had a bunch of open bottles I brought home from our company's Trade Tasting.

BY THE WAY last night I had an excellent time chatting with winemakers and sales reps. I appear to be loved in this industry, everybody remembers me and the new winery reps liked me. I got gifts of wine from several. The Pres of my company took the remaining people to dinner, so i got free dinner--salmon with sundried tomatoes and garlic, it was sooooooooo good! I probably had too much bread. I definitely had too much wine! I did NOT get drunk, I have an incredibly high tolerance :rotflmao: But I know I probably went over in calories. I have gone over in calories much too much, I am gaining but I'm not weighing, I'm far too stressed for that. Nonetheless people complimented my figure.

Mmmm beer... Do you guys have Mac & Jack's African Amber down there? I've been told its found in Cali, but I wasn't sure where. The brewery is here and they do tours. I'm glad they don't bottle their brew, so I can't drink it at home. It really limits the beer intake.

- Sunny

Never heard of it--dammit! Ha ha ha ha! :rotflmao: The brewery that I hang out at NEVER limits MY beer intake! I sit there and drink for hours, oh my! But it's slow. I counted on Sunday and I had 44 ounces.

He also wears a nose strip. Weird.
the nose strip a lot of pro football players wear because it helps them breath easier - it's also good for snorers because it does help keep the nostrils open and allows you to breath deeper...

We're taking a trip to Minnesota Wednesday. I insisted that Thursday we go to New Brighton to the Barley John's Brew Pub where they make Dark Knight:

Dark Knight (Vintage 2006) - 13.5%abv :The Dark Knight is a bourbon barrel aged double fermented porter. In this case we brew our standard Old 8 Porter and then feed it more sugar to boost the alcohol content. Once the fermentation is complete the Dark Knight to-be is transferred to Bourbon barrels where it ages from 4-8 months, in this case 7 months. We used barrels from the Rip Van Winkle Distillery which housed their premium bourbon - Pappy Van Winkle - for 20 years. This is a very smooth and mellow bourbon which marries nicely with the dark and complex tones of the double fermented porter. We serve this one in a 5.5oz bourbon glass and it is designed to be a slow and enjoyable brew-apertif. Heavy bourbon nose that fades upon sipping, then the chocolate and malt notes from the porter dominate the middle and a slightly tannic/dry finish to complete the taste.

An extremely high rated beer and its named after Batman. What more could I want :) You are certainly a natural salesperson Val.

That sounds absolutely DIVINE. I am not worthy, I am not worthy! Yes I am, I changed my mind--UPS ME SOME!! :rotflmao:

*blinks* WOW Mal you magically appeared and disappeared with some knowledge! I expect you to say, "Cause knowledge is POWER" now! :rotflmao:

Ok staying positive

Ahem, ahem. *Breath intake*

I can take things only one at a time. I am going to do the best I can. Everything will fall into place. I'm going to concentrate on being happy. I'm going to work hard and treat people right. In doing so, I will feel better about my situation and the gods/goddesses/my ancestors/my guardian angels/real people will come through for me. It WILL happen like this. Everytime I worry, things come through for me. Apparently I am that good of a person. I help others and am generous, life hits me back like that. I have no need to worry and stress myself out. Can I get a witness??

Hey Val, I love it that you're so well loved within your work, you are a naturally charming person. I'm sorry all the places are so expensive and I REALLY hope Adam calls soon and that you guys can work out a roomie situation! Of course everyone complimented your figure, you look AMAZING, despite not running for a week. Is your ankle feeling any better yet?? Well I hope you have a nice day woman ;)

it's just one of the many tidbits of useless information I have in my feeble brain :) I had a doctor once suggest that I try out those strips as a possible, non medical solution for my insomnia - he figured the deeper breathing might help... didn't help and the thing on my nose just made my itchy :D

Thanks love, yes my foot is fine now, just slightly itchy around the puncture and slightly fat. Thank you again, Sweetness! If you were a guy I'd marry you, LOL!!

Hey Val, I never talk religion and I'm not even 100% sure at this point what I believe, but my job situation and the way the events conspired to somehow put me into a school where a former classmate who thought I was a great guy and the most brilliant man she ever met would be my boss had to be something more than coincidence. I have had too many experiences like that where I leaped without looking and a safety net suddenly appeared to believe it coincidence. You have the right attitude.

I feel ya girl!! I think you have the right frame of mind, stay with it!! You are a wonderful person, who does wonderful things for people. What comes around certainly goes around, I believe in that! I believe in the pay it forward too. Keep stepping forward and making it happen. I'm right behind you!!
