Wednesday

Yesterday I weight-trained for an hour after work, heavily. Deadlifts and all. Ooooooh I am SORE (in a good way, not a bad way). I ate very well, considering I'm PMSing (need I mention it again? whine whine). But I ate dinner (salmon, grilled yams and asparagus with corn salsa, all hommade) way early--at 6:30. Then I made love to my boyfriend, and by 9pm I was so damn hungry, and I had to eat a little bit of honey and have a small glass of raspberry wine to get rid of the sweetooth that was tormenting me.

I went to bed all hungry, even though I still had 2200 calories. I still needed it, though--I was actually RAVENOUS. But I refrained from binging, thank goodness. This morning I fairly wolfed down my b-fast:

Berry wafflewich: 2 whole wheat, high-fiber-low-cal (190 for 2) organic waffles with 1 1/2 TBSP almond butter (145 cal) and a bunch of sliced strawberries and blueberries smashed in between, and a cup of chocolate soymilk (120): total about 490 calories or so, depending on the calories in the berries (maybe like 500).

I have dark chocolate to eat today (1 bar at only 180 cal, for the day) and soon I'm haing a snack--whole grain crackers with non-fat ricotta cheese, sliced tomato and fresh basil on them. I PLANNED that. I'm going to make a new dish for dinner, too--with fake chicken, maybe a yummy stir-fry!

And of course, my HIIT Kick-boe class after work.

BTW I weighed 142.0 lbs this morning--which pleased me greatly. Looking forward to the end of my period for the resulting weight loss.

Boring

 Non-fat Ricotta is so tasteless. If it weren't for the fact that my crackers are roasted garlic & shallot--but they're NOT whole-grain  oh I didn't notice :( --and for the fact that basil is so potent, my snack would be utterly bland. No wonder the "recipe" calls for cracked pepper!

I bet I could doctor up this Ricotta. Well, at least the snack was only 135 calories, calcium-and-vitamin-rich, and curbed my need for anything to snack on (sweetooth gone). I could try sundried tomatoes....

the south beach diet has a bunch of different recipes that use ricotta and make it a tasty dessert - some use cocoa powder with some splenda heated up - other use cinnamon an vanilla - your other extracts..

Hmmmm, South Beach, eh? I'll search the net for Ricotta recipes. The plain stuff is...so plain. Yeah! It almost makes me gag :p

Deadlifts! I'm impressed!! I don't think I've ever seen any woman in the gym where I go do deads.

By the way, I don't appreciate your calling it TOM :)

So you have mentioned champagne and your like for it a couple of times ;) I also know you work in the wine business right? So I am going to a wedding soon and they are talking about getting some kind of Italian champagne or a champagne-a-like - do you know anything about this and whether it's good? Thanks :)

I forgot to mention

....my boyfriend had a weird dream a few nights ago. He told me he dreamt I had a disease where my legs got progressively skinner.

When he told me I froze. I said nothing. He went on to describe another dream. Like I said, he still doesn't know my weight-loss goals or anything. He hasn't asked me my current weight. I wonder if he's ever going to say anything about it? Other than I'm beautiful and sexy etc.... I also can't help but wonder,
"Will he think I'm too thin at my goal (130)?"
I guess I'll have to get there to find out....

I'm not worried.

I also thought about what to tell people when they ask about my weight loss at my goal. Because 25 pounds is not ignorable, especially when it's over 16% of my body weight, lost. I'm going to tell them,

"I thought it would be fun to be skinny. I found that it sucks! I've been hungry and exhausted, dreaming about cake and Franchese bread. But I must say, I've never felt better...that it's over!"

or something like that...

Thanks! Yeah I said "chicks don't DO deadlifts" to a couple people in my gym and they laughed. BUT THEY SHOULD! I tell you, I'm going to have a sxy backside soon!

Yeah, TOM! HA! I prefer to just call it my period. Period.
