Sorry, Kimberly IMed me last night! Thanks, darling!

Good news: Been seeing a complete creative revival of the magnitude of the Renaissance!

Bad news:
Been binging! Gained weight!

Better news:
Re-dedicated myself to losing again!

I am deathly curious about you all, I'm specifically concerned about who lost weight! CURIOUS!!

I have a lot of pictures and writings to share but they're not weight-loss specific--good thing for me no one cares hahahahah!

Well, a few weekends ago I was "vacationing" in San Luis Obispo. Trisha and I climbed Mount Madonna and went wine tasting in Paso Robles. We stayed at my other mom's house and had a LOT of fun. We never made it to the beach, though :(

And here's Ali and my invitation to our Xmas Party. The sexiness is just a PR tool. We figured out how it's gonna go. Ali made the menu plan:

"Hors 'douvres should be sparse, seeing as the main meals are going to be quite rich and plentiful. So I thought we might start with some champagne and something like this:
~ a platter of crute de tetes with a home made green goddess dipping sauce.
~perhaps a hot crab dip with some baguette rounds to spead it on
~some lemon grass cures salmon canapes.

Well, following the showcasing of art pieces, speeches and toasts would come a soup course, and I thought i would prepare my fabulous fingerling potato leek soup with red torpedo onions.

Followed of course by a Gorgonzola fondue. We might need two pots of it. So, If anyone has a fondue pot we can use, that would be FABULOUS! The Gorgonzola fondue would be served with:

~Apple slices
~Turkey sausage for meat-eaters.
~Quartered Red potatoes, baked.
~Lightly blanched vegitables, including broccoli, asparagus spears, & carrots.
~Cubed baguette.

After the fondue would follow a light, seasonal salad. I'm thinking a nice arugula and roasted fruit salad with pannettonie crutons, in a sweet creamy dressing.

Following the salad will be the poetry readings, and eggnog and an assortment of Christmas cookies will be served. What type of cookies, I'm not quite sure yet... Val and I are going to brainstorm tonight.

After the poetry reading will be a nice chocolate grand mariner fondue. Served with:
~mini from-scratch cheesecakes.
~cubes of pound cake.
~marshmallows.
~fresh pineapple slices.
~strawberries.
~mandarin orange sections
~Christmas cookies, of course!"

Ali has food stamps she doesn't need so much anymore because she got a full time job recently. Aaaaaaannnnnnd...............

(Oh by the way I created the graphics for out invitation, thank you very much)

........the Event Coordinating:

Timeline of events and planning:
--Drinks to be cold, chilled; decorations set; food preparation in accordance to presentation with appropriate temperatures
--Art displayed with artists' name and name of piece (we're having a small art exhibit, possibly)
--Kitchen spotless and set up for easy access of utensils, Ali and I in aprons looking fabulous
--Guests arrive; designated party greeter/herder meets guests and herds them into the recreation room with music and art exhibit
--Smoking and drinking ensues; Ali and I keep to moderation (haha--better watch this one, probably need a designated event planner partner sober watch)
--Hors d'oeuvres and cookies and passed out
--Champagne toast when majority of peeps arrive
--Artists congregate and floss to each other
--Champagne toast precedes dinner; Ali and I deliver a witty and clever, sexy and pornographic speech celebrating winter, food, art, wine, the Dionysian spirit, and sexuality; improv toasts offered by other guests.
--Dinner, in courses, Ali and I bring out
--Drinking and smoking ensue; MCs start to ready themselves
--Poetry slam; poem reading; drinking and smoking
--Dessert; hommade egg nogg, cigars, Port wine, chocolate, drinking and smoking
--Relaxing and Xmas movie watching; perhaps some food pornography as a gag.
--Sleep and people getting lucky, if that's the way things go ;)

In addition, I went to Fresno to my great aunt's (mom's mom's sister) 80th birthday party. I saw a LOT of relatives, distant and removed, and had a blast with my mom, grandparents, great aunt, and aunts. My aunt Laura gave me a BEAUTIFUL gift--my great grandma's (now, my mom's dad's mom, the full blooded Native American) bracelet. It really pleased me--my aunt was like, "Oh I have plenty of my own!" (she lives on the Reservation in New Mexico)

I'm really glad your back, I've been missing your cheerful "voice" lol Sorry about the BF (your post in my diary)! I hope things work out for you, your so sweet!

Sounds like one hell of a party! Am I invited??? lol :)

Sorry about the BF (your post in my diary)! I hope things work out for you, your so sweet!

Thanks, Korrie!
Oh I didn't mention I was PMSing and I started missing sleeping with the BF, and I been crying a little bit before bed for the past 3 days is all. I been running around, all over California it feels like, so the last time I saw him was Thursday a week ago. Still, he emails me everyday with cheerful loving messages.

I'm trying to deal with the possibility of never sleeping next to him, regularly, again. He says he does not want to live with anyone at this time in his life (cept at home) and he may be moving to Hawaii, his company has a station/location out there. Personally, I want him to go! He needs to experience travel, he's FROM here and living at home at 23! For me, I'm out of my hometown and I been around a bit, plus I travel within California (he doesn't get out of the South Bay much). I'd miss him, but I can rationally see that it would be good for him. Plus, I suspect he'd be back in a few years or so--OR I'd move out there, I was considering moving to Hawaii a few years ago. Anyway, sometimes I like sleeping alone, other times I get really sad. :(

Oh i understand hun, I've been there before. Before hubby and I got married, we lived together for 3 yrs, then we broke up and I got my own place. It was REALLY hard sleeping by myself and I still say it was the sadest time in my life.....oops sorry, didnt' mean to ramble, just saying I COMPLETELY understand!

I'm glad you want him to travel, it would be nice. It shows alot of selflessness too. Shoot, if I could go back in time before I had kids, I'd travel EVERYWHERE, if I could, lol Once you have a family its so much harder to do that.

:svengo: OMG your in a bikini SEXY MAMA!!I so need a vacation I have only been out of KY-OH(I am borderline)once and that was disney world 5 years ago lol it looks beautiful where you were!I also love the bracelet,I had a turquoise ring and it was so pretty! Oh, and I hate sleeping alone. Sun-Thurs, when my husband is home, I am in bed at 10:30...when he is gone on Fri and Sat, I stay up til 2-3 am, because it is too lonely in bed. Half the time, I just sleep on the couch, because thats easier.

I love sleeping alone. When H was in Australia for 2 months over the summer I absolutely loved having the whole bed to myself. :D

Your party sounds like tons of fun. The food alone would be reason enough for me to go. :biggrinjester:

I love that bracelet!

Totally me and my style/colors!

When will you be sending it to me? :biggrinjester:

lol

Hope yer havin' a great Saturday night doll. :hug2:
