For the last month I've switched to an upper/lower split from a push/pull/leg, and it's definitely been effective for me, probably because I also started mainly doing compounds.  I've been doing straight leg deadlifts on my lower day because it focuses more on the legs, but I was wondering when I should do regular deadlifts.  My upper body is usually still sore when I do my lower body day, and vice versa (usually have 1-3 days of rest between workouts).  Is an upper/lower split not good for doing deadlifts because it works both?
