I'm anxious to see if getting out walking this week is having an effect. The scale went down two days in a row. I'm hoping 3 will mean I've been bumped off of my plateau. *crossing my fingers
 
Very good, Cerella, thanks for asking! I got out for 3 short walks yesterday, and today's looking sunny and bright too! The ex is taking the kids for a few hours, and I get to go for lunch with a friend. We're going to walk to the restaurant and back (about 30 minutes). Can't wait!

I'm also all psyched up to go to the gym tonight. I haven't been there in about 2 weeks, and I'm anxious to start the weight training plan Steve wrote out.:)

Excellent Dari - and wow to three walks in one day - sometimews I get in two and ya it makes me pretty tired especially when pushing a stroller...LOL...
 
Well, it's working! Hit 148 this morning (and I saw a 147 on there before it bounced up). :) :) :)

I've got two walks lined up for today, then I'm taking tomorrow off to rest my shins.
 
This summer I'm going to try doing 2 walks a day. I like how you're doing that. Its something I never would have thought to do.
 
It's nice, if you don't overdo it. In the morning, my walk gets me going, and motivates me for the day. In the late afternoon or evening, I feel like I"m burning off what I ate. LOL!

seeing 147!! Walking is the best for weightloss and leg toning
then hit the gym for the rest of the toning once the weight is

Congrats!! Looks like you're doing an awesome job!! I can't wait till it warms up above the 40s here to go walking or bike riding in the mornings again.
 
Your doing great Dari - Im so proud of you - you think 150 is fat - boy oh boy - LOL - well not fat but still big for you - my goal is 160 - lol...have a great day- are you ready for this - I know I am going to !!! I seem to have crawled outta my bad emotional slump...plus it is tatties and beer and pub grub tonight - YES !!!

Once you hit 160 Cerella, you'll see what you need to do next. It might be a lot or a little, but it's so hard to determine now. That's why I was guessing at my first goal weights. LOL!!

I hear ya with the goal's I was shooting for 150 then I thought well I am 5"4 and the chart I pulled up says I should be around 120-140 somewhere around there.So I am shooting for 145 for now but I would love to see 160's I would be so darn HAPPY!
I need to add more walking also I rarely ever go past 3 miles when I get out and walk so adding a double walk a couple times a week or adding another mile may help.Well congrats on 146-147 what an awesome feeling it is lol I sound like Yoda.Have a nice day Tammy
 
Well, I'm VERY lucky to be on maternity leave now, while I'm losing weight. I can't even imagine how hard it's going to be once I start work in June. :(
 
Sounds like your weight is heading in the right direction DQ! Congrats, and keep up the fine work. :)
 
So, I have come to the realization that I have a sugar addiction. Which is probably what is commonly known as a sweet tooth. I thought I was okay; I went for my first 6 or so months cutting waaay back on chocolate, pop, etc...and was fine with it. But the last month, these things have been creeping back into my diet.

With the odd exception, I still manage to fit these things in under my calorie allowance. However, I find myself planning my meals so that I have several hundred calories leftover to indulge in my treats, and it needs to stop.

I'm determined to take control tomorrow. I think that this started when I started drinking too much diet pop; I wonder if there's a connection? So I'm going to cut back to my one bottle a day and see how that goes.

Oy, this is tough.
