ahh i know that feeling. I have similar - but not with sweet stuff :/

I guess we have to live with this stuff for the rest of our life eh :/

I have a sugar problem too..at times. I started using Splenda in my coffee, and should use it more when I eat oatmeal. I really believe not using sugar helped me to lose about 3 pounds. You have made great progress!! Congrats!!

This is going to be a difficult day. I'm going to try and keep myself busy tho. I have a mom and tots group to take the kids to until lunch, then after the baby wakes from his nap, I've gotta get some groceries. Then a nice long walk.

My problem time is while the baby is sleeping. :(

Alright, I didn't do so well. I will try and take something postive from yesterday though...I had half as much diet pepsi as I normally do, and drank a little more water.

I will do better today!

Hey Dari - lately Ive been having the same problems...ive been slowly drinking diet pop again and Ive been eating more chips than usual - however that skor bar I ate the other day almost killed me...LOL...made me feel so sick afterwards...

Anyway I totally know what you mean but you never take a break it could just be your body getting tired of never having these things and when it is finally getting them wanting them non stop b/c it doesnt think it will ever get them agian ???

I just knwo what you are going through I have been going through that as well

You know Cerella, you could be right...but I have always allowed myself treats; even one every day. I've never totally deprived myself.

Today is starting well. I'm having an early lunch, and am right on track.

My son (who will be 10 months old right away) has figured out how to feed himself. I lay him on the floor, and he can hold his own bottle, but when he wants to play he just throws it aside and turns over. Well, he's figured out how to pick up the bottle, put it in his mouth, then roll over onto his back again without using his arms! It's so funny. Now he can go and have a little snack whenever he wants. LOL!

And we went for a short walk already today!

Hi everyone
I am new here. I am really in need of support. Sometime back we moved to jamaica. My husband got a great offer here. But i coudnt find a job yet. I dont have much of a social circle in the last 4 mths. All this has affected me a lot. I keep on eating all the while just to do something. even if i try to do something else i switch back to eating as a result i have gained a hell of weight CW 180lb initially i was 156lbs.Now that too is bothering me. Please suggest me how should i go about loosing weight.I am trying to pull myself to walk atleast 20 min daily. Please do help.

Hi Indiqueen! Welcome here :) If you were to start a diary up, you would get plenty of encouragement! Most of us find it helpful to keep track of food/calories we are eating, in order to see where we can help ourselves.

Ohhh...it sounds like a good day yesterday and today!

And isn't it so cool watching the little ones learn!

That's so cool about your son, they grow up so fast at that age!! Also I kwym I had found before that the more sweet stuff I allowed daily the more I wanted it, it was a vicious cycle.

So, I have come to the realization that I have a sugar addiction. Which is probably what is commonly known as a sweet tooth. I thought I was okay; I went for my first 6 or so months cutting waaay back on chocolate, pop, etc...and was fine with it. But the last month, these things have been creeping back into my diet.

With the odd exception, I still manage to fit these things in under my calorie allowance. However, I find myself planning my meals so that I have several hundred calories leftover to indulge in my treats, and it needs to stop.

I'm determined to take control tomorrow. I think that this started when I started drinking too much diet pop; I wonder if there's a connection? So I'm going to cut back to my one bottle a day and see how that goes.

Oy, this is tough.

Refined sugar is inherently addicting- the more you have, the more you want. It sets up a crash and burn cycle. There is no way I could handle it in my daily diet. I think cutting out pop sounds like a great idea. I've read that even fake sugars can set off cravings. I used to plan for DQ twice a week which in theory I did, but then I was hungry for actual nutritious foods and ended up going over my allowance. What I'm trying to do now is limit DQ to twice a month, and beyond that, no sugars at all. As I am doing this I realize how much time I spent thinking about planning for sugar, and then feeling guilty or frustrated because I want more. That's no fun! Looking hot is fun. :D

Well Ive never denied myself anything either but sometimes all I wanna do and all I do do is eat junk...I dunno Dari...I think it is just human nature...We will always have obsticles no matter what...when dietign the obsticles are foods we shouldnt eat - YUM - LOL...

Im glad your on track!

Funny thing is - diet pop never led to me craving sweets and stuff but I have heard alot of ppl say that...

I cant believe your little guy is already 10 months - wow...

You know I just reallized today I've been out of diet mountain dew for at least a month and didn't reallize it. When I started this thing I got a water cooler. For a bit over $20 I got 20 gallons of Ice Mountain per month. That's less than I used to spend for soda and water. I even use the hotwater spiget for soup or oatmeal. I really think getting off the pop has helped.

I've been thinking about getting a water cooler. I did get a large thing of water for the fridge with a spout so Abba can get her own water, and she's drinking more of it now. So one for me would be great too!

Howdy Dari,
Lol your 10 month old sounds like my 12 month old he loves to see how many times mommy will pick up his sippy or toy or food lol,he just cackles.Congrats on 147 your doing awesome, have a gr8 weekend Tammy

Ohhh! yes! get a watercooler!
My kids ONLY drink water now, they prefer it because its cold when it comes out of the cooler and its easy to get at.
Juice on the other hand (IF we ever have it) is in the top of the fridge and always run out, and its mega hassle to get it down, open it, pour it etc etc etc

Watercooler is worth its weight in gold
