Cybermama

Thanks for stopping by my diary! I love spongebob, that cartoon is sooo funny.

I hope this week is really good for you weight loss wise!

What is lodeh? I've never heard of it.

So nice to meet you and read about your interesting food and stuff. I know biryani, only I spell it different. My husband (ex) was from Kuala Lumpur and my sons and he just went there this summer for a visit. Myself, India really rubbed off on me, it is my favourite country next to Canada. I will see you around and congratulations on your weight lost.

Mmhmmm beriyani...reminds me of home!

Your dinner sounds yummy. Mushrooms...mhmmmhm!

It's okay. I can relate with the full of food week. I'm in the same boat. But it's okay! We have next week. This is a lifestyle change and we're bound to have some calorie-laden food. As long as we keep up with the exercise and try to eat better, it's okay :)

Spongebob! I miss watching that. I don't have a TV in my apartment so I can only catch up on my shows when I go home.

Thanks for dropping by Cubermama. The support is seriously very helpful :) You seem to be doing amazing. Don't even sweat about this week. You have come SO far and I know you can achieve your goal :)

That's right! There is NO WAY we can go the rest of our lives without some of the calorie-laden foods... we would fail! Today is a new day Mama! :D

oh, wow. surprising to know your ex is from KL. Its my favourite State in Malaysia. I love driving up to KL!! KL is the best!!

My Indian blood has very big influences food wise on me... I really love Indian food but my husband is Malay so he prefers Malay food, so at home its more Malay food for us.

Kids love American food... its always spagetti, mac & cheese, sandwiches, pb&j, pizza although im trying hard to switch them to eat more healthier foods. Feeding them vege can be quite a challenge.

Hi Jes!

I like visiting your diary.. I think you are a very interesting person.

Yes, I should be more positive about it. I should be more realistic cause I always have these type of festive and celebration every now and then in life and I really have to make my way around it.

That's right! There is NO WAY we can go the rest of our lives without some of the calorie-laden foods... we would fail! Today is a new day Mama! :D

Hi Paula!!

You are also right!! This is very very true!! I will just have to take it all one day at a time and not worry too much!!

just dropped in to check out your diary, hang in there don't let one bad week get you down :)

Had a great day today! All healthy.

No breakfast. I woke up at 1 pm haha...

Lunch
A bowl of mixed vegetables - stir fried snow peas, califlower, brocolli, caixin and more.

Snack
A bowl of mixed vegetables again

i baked a sardine pie... well sardine in tomato sauce, cilies and onions... cant wait to eat it later!

Dinner
1 slice of the sardine pie... mmmmm.....

Recipe for the pie

1 can sardine in tomato sause
1 onion
4 green chili
1 inch ginger
2 cloves garlic
2 spoonful of chili paste

2 cups flour
2 tablespoon magerine
water

mix the flour, magerine and water to form the pie crust

fry the chili paste, green cili, ginger, garlic, onions together till cooked. Add the sardines... make sure its not that wet, I usually let the extra sause dry up at the heat.

Roll out the pie crust dough to form a big square. Put in the sardine filling, fold the dough into 2 and seal the edges..

glaze with egg.

Bake at 225 celcius for around 20 minutes.

I love to eat it hot. Serving size should be around 4 and around 300 calories max per serving.

tomorrow im most likely to bake the beans pie... i just love pies... beans pie will be wholemeal.

oh wow! ur Indian too... Punjabi??

My cousin is Punjabi-Arab and she is so beautiful.

Well, my dad is actually Pakistani-arab and my mum is malay-indian

our food have a lot of indian influences, my parents love indian food. My mum's indian family in from Kerala.. she can understand maliyali but she mostly speaks Malay. Its quite funny cause as a child I got to eat many kinds of food, Indian food, Malay food, Pakistani and Arabian food.

I must add that from all the Beriani, I quite prefer the way Pakistani beriani taste like. When my family visits the Pakistani family, they usually prepare this dish and its taste is quite unique. Almost the same as Indian's but yet so different.

The beriani that I dont really prefer is the Arab's. Although maybe I thought, the one I ate was not prefered well.

Malay beriani is the worst of the lot and ive taken a few and all do not taste good. lol

Hi dear, just checking in to check on how you are doing....Can I check with you, do you know if porridge is healthy for us..i mean like you know in Banquet or Fork & Spoon they do sell chicken porridge..I need to be on a soft diet for these 2 days as I just had my tooth extracted last nite..OW ow..cannot eat anything too hard..so I tot porridge is best..but wondering where can I find a halal one...how have you been doing...?

I also take chicken porrige occasionally.. my kids love it. You can get it from any chicken rice shop. Another alternative is macaroni soup which is also considered a soft diet. Its calories for one serving is usually no higher than 300.

oh wow, you had your tooth extracted? Toothache is the worst pain ever.. Hope the pain is better now.

1 boiled egg
1 slice of small beans pie

Sometimes I feel like binging on something, like what I used to do but I always remind myself that Im on this journey and if I screw things up, I will not be able to reach my goal and complete this jouney with positivity.

I think that urge that I occasionally have is still there. I really hope it will never come out and pig itself out where I will start binging.

I used to always binge at night. I will always order mcdonalds or make some instant noodles... well, those were the days...

Im still keeping myself motivated to complete my journey. Im tired of always going into weight loss and falling off the wagon. Now, Im going to claw and crib the wagon so I will not fall off, even if the wagon drag me.. I will hang on!! lol!!

That's the spirit! :hurray: You are doing amazing and posting on here when you're wanting to binge is a perfect way to help you get through it! Remember that the ultimate goal you have set for yourself will feel so much better than ANY food can taste! You can do it girl... And we're all right alongside ya, struggling right along with ya, so you're never alone! :D HANG ON TO THAT WAGON! :hurray:
