I agree! But I think Val deserves it :)

I think this is a case of attracting the right person when you're ready for it. I'm a strong believer in that.
 
I'm always aiming for better fitness, the problem lies "in which area?" I'm sort of stuck in between deciding what I want to go with....

...I feel like if I have my fingers in too many pies (sounds suggestive but I DO NOT like girls ) Can ya feel me? Pie Fingers!

Sounds like you've got a dilemma on your hands. Just a suggestion. Maybe you could do it all- but in phases. (While doing Yoga year-around to be a master Yogi) For example:

Jan-April: Yoga + workout + belly dancing (colder weather, can do this indoors)
May-Aug: Yoga + workout + running (limit 4 races)
Sept-Dec: Yoga + workout + rock climbing (colder weather, can do this indoors)

That way, you don't get bored of it all, and give your body time to adjust to each activity. :sifone:

Hey chickee!!! saw the pics of you and your man... AWwwwwwwwww you guys look so cute... I'm glad to see that you are so happy.and that so far he is an awesome man!!!! . and awesome job with the workouts.. It's ok to deviate a little sometimes... Just dropping by to say hi.....:party:
 
Chris re-joined (he used to be King of that place before he was too sick) the Rock Climbing Gym and bouldered with me tonight!!!!

He had a hard time of it, accepting the fact that his dying and decrepit body could not DO the things it had once done, as he'd never tried rock climbing since he quit, years ago, when the diabetes and neuropathy started to deteriorate his body :(. BUT, hell, he tried anyway and looked damn good up there! Able to stay up for a while. I had to stand underneath for when he fell, to kinda catch him and make sure he didn't fall too hard. We both took turns on this very difficult V1+ route. I HAD NO IDEA THAT I CAN HOLD UP MY ENTIRE UPPER BODY WITH TWO FINGERS :eek2: Rock climbing is fucking hard!!!!!!! :eek:

In Yoga, Alice kicked our asses. I swear, the weight training this week didn't fatigue my muscles, it made them stronger :flame: I had a very good practice this evening. My neck was kinda fucked up with a big knot in it today--the Yoga loosened it up :hat:

Dude! Claudia.......check it: So PZ and I are going to this huge, giant, electronic music party at that huge, giant 1015 Folsom Club in San Francisco tomorrow (Friday night), and not only is he paying for it, and not only did he just reserve us a room with a King bed at the Pickwick down the street, but he ALSO is driving us :hurray: WOW, WHAT A SWEETIE!!!!

Here's an interesting thing about him: out of all my boyfriends and lovers, he's one of the only ones who doesn't call me by a pet name or use romantic, flowery language. On the phone, you'd think he was talking to a guy friend. Not really a trace of affection in his voice. And aside from maybe calling me Babe in one text, once, and calling me a Hottie once in a while, and not so much lately, he doesn't really canoodle with words. But the thing is, he demonstrates his affection for me in DEEDS, like, constantly. As if all my desires will be fulfilled when I'm around him. I trip about it--it makes all the extravagant language and affectionate, romantic talk that my ex did seem very hollow. Fluff, no substance. No wonder my nickname for him was Fluffy. I'm truly a genius for coming up with that nickname!

SO yes, tomorrow after work we're heading up to The City, checking into the Pickwick, having dinner, and heading to the 1015 at 9 o'clock to see ten million fantastic DJs at a party that goes from 9 to 6am in a club with a giant concert bowl and 5 other rooms on different levels. Ah yes, it's to celebrate Chinese New Year's of the Ox, and at midnight there's gonna be an "annual procession of White Crane Lion Dancers, a dragon dance, and mask making." Sounds fun to me!! PZ and I will most likely party till 2 or 3 and then go back to the hotel to sleep. Saturday we might go to my hometown to visit my parents, and Saturday night we're actually going to the Improv to see Arj Barker stand up comedy! YAY!!!! Hey I should tell the twins about that :) OK I better go to bed. I need my sleep! I'll respond and visit you friends tomorrow! :grouphug:
 
Not everyone should do single leg romanian deadlifts. Ya, it's a great movement. But a foundation should be built before doing it weighted and I wrote that in Val's program b/c I knew she had the foundation.

Ooooooooooh, thanks for posting that video link (I must check out more of your vids, where??)! That Rom one legged thing looks fun and I am SO BORED with my routine. I just tried it along with the video without weights of course. Where do I catch more vids!!
 
Val, I'm so happy to hear that Chris attempted to climb again. I hope you realize how good you are for him, not just physically.... but good for his soul. He needs that.

oops, I just read this! I did try it last night...but I only had 10lb weights. I hate not knowing if I have proper form or not, everything seemed to feel fine...but I'll hold off on that excercise until I've gotten more experience.

I'm stoked that Chris did some rock climbing with you!!! He must have felt amazing afterwards, even though his body wasn't performing as well as it used to.

This kind of stuff is powerful. What you have done for Chris is powerful.

There just aren't words in the English language to describe you, Val. Spanish and German? Yes. But English? Nope.

Damn! :banghead: I am SOOOOOOOOOO busy at work, seriously been pumping out advertising art non-stop--NO WRITER'S BLOCK ALLOWED! Lots of our wines have been getting great accolades and high points from Connoisseur's Guide and the like, and I have to do all the printing, cutting, and laminating--ALSO the partners are headed to SoCal for a "sales blitz" and need a bunch of material. AND I was asked to redesign graphics for the Portfolio cover and brochure for our trucking company.....PANT PANT!!! :svengo:

It's cool work :). I like doing the most creative work at our office.

Anyway, I won't have a chance to be on here until Sunday or Monday--I actually miss you guys/gals and want to know how you're doing! :grouphug: Awwwww. Especially the ones I haven't heard from in a while......TART! :D

Anyway, I'll be dancing my ass off from 9pm to at least 3am, wish me luck!!!! :waving:

Oh yeah, Sunday I'll be in my hometown visiting my grandparents and parents--it's my paternal grandpa's 78th birthday on Tuesday and Sunday is the only chance I'll get to see him.

I'll be writing down my calories and workouts for Team Tits but probably won't get to update until Monday!

That is awesome that Chris tried climbing again. Its huge progress i think. you definitely have a great influence on him :D
I've been feeling shitty myself but yoga made me feel better.

Wow, it DOES sound like awesome work. I'm a technical writer at the moment... and you can only get SO creative on a user manual for software!

I literally am totally busy at work and away from my desk, on lunch NOW and missing you guys and gals :cry:

Weekend was so great! :party: PZ and I had a wonderful time together at the club, and on Saturday he met my stepdad (mom was at work) and once again, I'm even more impressed and enthralled with him :beating: What an awesome boyfriend I have! Can hardly wait til Friday :D--got it off, we're checking out the Elephant Seals at the beach up HWY 1......

Kept calories at high end, and am slightly up (141.5 lbs) today, but that usually happens to me on Mondays ;) Gonna start soon, which would explain why most of my calories came from SWEETS yesterday :ack2:

I'll be back later to say hi, but gotta go!
