Thank you all!!!!!!!!!

BIG hugs to all my friends! :grouphug:

I'm extremely busy at work, and my 4 day weekend doesn't help! HA! However, it's a good thing to have work to actually do, and it also serves me right for being a goof off! :smash:

Anyway, I filled out my stats on the Challenge and I'm down to 138.0 lbs--that's a 7.5 lb loss in 6 weeks!!!!!! :hurray: One of the coolest things about that fact is that I have been weight training, so I doubt that I've lost a bunch of my lean body mass.

The least I can do it take current pictures in the same outfit I did when I posted them up for the Transformation Contest part of the Challenge--I'll get to that ASAP.

Anyway, my poor PZ got a cold from his housemate and was SICK for V-Day--however, we spent it inside, eating at his house, watching movies and cuddling. :beating: PLUS he gave me a sweet card that reps an expense-paid snowboarding trip to Tahoe!!!!! What a gift! What a sweet boyfriend I have :beating:

I will TRY to get around today.......I'm very sorry I've been missing out on your lives :(

Awesome! I'm so trying to get to the mountains this Friday and Saturday for snowboarding. I don't have any details planned out, but I'm off from work and the kids are off from school, so we'll have to just find snow and go!

Yesterday I enjoyed belly dancing immensely--the "Feral Gypsy" choreography is definitely to my liking, and the moves are easy and not very small and controlled--this is definitely NOT Egyptian-style B.D. :cheers2: Eventually, I'll have Chris video record it and I'll have it posted for you to gander!

Yoga with Delena was great and comforting, but she had a student-teacher observing us, and therefore she was real careful, easier on us, and talking more than usual--3 things I don't fancy very much. You know what I noticed? I really enjoy certain aspects of Yoga teaching from all my teachers, but if I were to teach I'd incorporate a bunch of those different aspects. I still want to be a Yoga instructor, but I definitely think I should be practicing for another year or few years....and I should definitely take anatomy classes and the like...heh heh, read that personal trainer handbook as well.....

HAHAHAHA!!!!!! I SAW "ZOHAN" WITH ADAM SANDLER LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS HIS BEST FUCKIN' ROLE TO DATE!!!!!!! HILARIOUS!!!!!!! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

Ok, tonight, weight training and Yoga :D

LOL that movie was outrageous!!! Pretty sure I fell off the couch at least twice laughing!!

Glad things are going well. I think you would be a great Yoga instructor! Just DO IT already!!

Oooo, I wanna be a belly dance teacher... need a LOT more dancing behind me though... guess I'll get to it!!

Awww, such a cute Val for Val, heehee.

Helllllllo BUNNY!!! :waving:;) :beating: Glad you had a good weekend!!! That movie is HILARIOUS! I loved it too!!! .....Ooooooh I'm so excited for you and snowboarding!!! I'm jealous...there is so much snow !!! You are going to have a blast!!! :cheers2:

....I always look at the yoga instructors and have literally thought that before about you too...that you would make a STUPENDOUS instructor!!! You have amazing vibes through my screen, I can only imagine what it'd be like in class!!! :beating:!!!

...I took anatomy classes in college too when I wanted to be a NUDE DRAWING ARTIST :reddevil: for a couple years....but Unfortunately....smoking all the GONJA :sifone: and thinking OUT OF THE BOX :hat: in those times....really left me with almost to no memory it all....LOL!!!.....:toetap05: ...what a waste...!!!:blush5:

Dee, Bronwyn, Anke, Cassy-- Thanks for the support! :D I truly want to make sure I know anatomy and the "Western Medicine" part of the human body equally as much as the "Eastern" mind/body/spirit/meditative aspect, before I start out. And it's gonna take A LOT before I can smoothly instruct a "choreography", if you will, of postures. One of the coolest things about Delena's instruction is that her classes are never the same exact thing, and I even take her classes 3 times a week! , which is also cool because she's a PIMP with the postures, showing anyone can be a Yogi (eh, almost) if she has the dedication :biggrinjester:.

you would make a STUPENDOUS instructor!!! You have amazing vibes through my screen, I can only imagine what it'd be like in class!!!

Thank you Love! :hug2: I basically would want to calm, sooth, and help center my students with my voice and "energy", combined with awesome instruction, haha! I've actually had BAD Yoga instructors (not recently) and it....is...........the pits!! :p

Unfortunately....smoking all the GONJA :sifone: and thinking OUT OF THE BOX :hat: in those times....really left me with almost to no memory it all....LOL!!!.....:toetap05: ...what a waste...!!!:blush5:

LOL!!!! :sifone: Awww, I'm pretty sure you can build up your memory with clean livin' and brain exercises! Ha!

That just goes to show you that yoga is for EVERYBODY, Val. I really think there are a lot of benefits to it because it helps connect the body, mind and soul. You can't help but feel good after a yoga session.

Don't let anatomy intimidate you. It's not as hard as you think ;) You'll do GREAT!!! I just know it in my heart :)

THANKS Modarlin'! :D I was a very good student in school ;) I kinda sorta miss being in school, then I think about the STRESS of DEADLINES and EXAMS and I'm like, "yeah, fuck dat!" :p HA! Nah, I'll prolly get in school again. Throughout the years after college I periodically would take night classes in art or wine for the fuck of it, but I'd rather not do that again until I move out of Boulder Creek and closer to the college...unless I take some classes online! At this exact moment in my life, I feel like I have enough on my plate, though.

Way to get your weight down even more You have a boyfriend? I missed that. I'm gettin some yoga in between gym workouts. Things are going pretty good. How was your last big run? I think you should take on a big challenge like Ironman or something.

Hi Kelly!! :waving: Yes, I have a boyfriend as of 12-8-08 :D I'm in the off season for running right now, and so far I haven't signed up for any races. Iron Man?!?! :eek2: Hmm, actually I think that I'd injure my body training for something like that--I've never even RAN more than 13.0 miles in my life, I doubt I could run 26.2 after swimming and biking my ass off! First things first ;)

TADA! :D

I have new pictures :) I am actually 139.0 lbs, it's been here for 2 days, so even though I was 138 a few days ago, I guess that was a false reading (?) Anyway, in other threads I'll put the side-by-side pictures on the challenge follow up threads :)

Workouts: Yesterday I spent 45 minutes in the weight room, doing some of the moves Steve showed me on his suggested workouts. Here they are, I kinda took a few moves from each:

Workout 1:

Squats - (wk1: 4x5, wk2: 3x5, wk3: 8x3, wk4: 2x4-6)
Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts - 3x8-10
BB Bench Press - 4x6-8
Close Grip Cable Rows - 3x10-12
Side Planks - 3x30-60 seconds each side

Workout 2:

Rack Pulls - (wk1: 4x5, wk2: 3x5, wk3: 8x3, wk4: 2x4-6)
Bulgarian Split Squat - 3x8-10
One Arm DB Push Press - 3x10-12
Cable Pulldowns - 4x6-8
Bar Rollouts - 3x8

I worked pretty hard, and I think I may have strained my left Trapezius ever so slightly during the rack pulls (135 lbs) BUT afterward, I went to Yoga (with Eric, subbing for Mangala) and *cha-ching*! Pain, gone :). Yoga rocks!
