Funny story--one of our wine sales reps goes every year. She and her boyfriend went last year, and after they came back he decided he was too chubby (maybe the hot people there made him feel that way I dunno). She told me he decided to ON HIS OWN go on a diet and lose some chub--she said he was so cute because he'd tell her, "Well today I had a salad for lunch...." I kept my mouth shut about the forum. I realet to the keeping the forum quiet! I have a paranoid fear of someone I know or work with reading my journal too. eSpecially as I have been quite honests about my excessive drinking/hedonism LOL Everyone at work thinks I am a nice clean-living sort of person. I'd like to keep it that way LOL
 
Hey VBF, how's it going?? So you had a slamming time at your party, sounds like so much fun!! I miss going to parties, but honestly I would be worthless the next day if I went out and partied all night. LOL LOL I'm good until maybe 1am, unless I'm dancing, then I can go until 3, and I'm done! LMAO!!!

I need to make a trip out to Cali soon, because my hubby has never been there and well I haven't been back to my home town in several years, it's time to get back there and visit some family. I miss everyone so much!

I think as I said before that we have timeshare in both San Francisco and Napa, so we could easily book that for a week and come out, currently we have an elderly dog and I hate to put her in a kennel, so we are going to wait and see how she does this year and then decide if we want to go away for that period of time. Well when we come out I would love to hook up and do something together, go have dinner, see the sites and David has never seen Santa Cruz, so that would be awesome! Maybe we could hit some good wineries and do some tasting. AHHHHH I miss napa valley BAD!! I used to go all the time, it was a 20 minute drive from my home town.

Good to read the ex was on his best behavior and that you enjoyed yourself, that's the way it should be!! I'm proud of you!, I truly am....

KIM: Totally, don't ever go to any wineries without me, I can get us free tastings and 10-33% off depending on where we go--our company has lots of wineries in Napa.

142.5 lbs this weekend, and I was trying to be lazy the past two days--I didn't succeed :) I didn't want to go running yesterday or today, but I went my 5 miles plus the walk up my steep-ass hill yesterday, then spent the rest of the day at the range with Chris and Barre, and then the night baking Barre a belated birthday cake. Today I ran on my lunchbreak even though I didn't want to--41 minutes, and the weather is like summer.

This Friday I'm going to see CHARLIE MURPHY stand up at The Improv in San Jose at 10pm :party: So happy about that!

Currently my tummy is very very upset--I'm trying to think about what fucked it up :confused: I'm tired and have lots of work to do, so I'll be back to see whaddup with y'all when I can, have a great Monday! :grouphug:
 
Oh yeah and yesterday we came to the conclusion that my .308's scope is mounted wrong--two far forward (toward the butt, not the barrel) and wobbly. First shot and it clocked me in the forehead, cutting me above the right eyebrow and stupifying me first. Then the blood upset me and threw off my whole game--then I got over it when I realized it's shallow and not likely to scar, whew! :) Chris is remounting it for me, thank goodness! Damn thing gets dislodged slightly with firing, throwing off the sight.
 
reading your post reminds me of my 1st time handling a gun...it was the last time too! lol I was like..um, 9/10? and it was my dads rifle...we were shooting at pop cans on the fence. Well...no on told me about the kickback and it scared the hell out of me! lol I dropped the gun on the ground, which was followed by my father screaming at me, lol

i'm glad you weren't injured too much! Hope you have fun at the show on friday...i've always wanted to go see one!
 
Oh Korrie, stand up comedy is so fun! I saw Bobby Lee last year, and a couple years back Christopher "Kid" Reid from Kid 'n Play/Houseparty movies--so funny!

Oh bummer about the shooting incident--I've shot my .308 plenty of times but this was the first time I miscalculated and put my face too close to the scope :( Seriously, though, shooting is FUN! Uh, I SUCK at handguns though :cry: More practice!
 
Wow, I would have never pictured you going to a shooting range. Sounds like fun sans the cut to the forehead :)

Good for you for running when you didn't feel like it. I had planned on running this Sunday to test out my IT Band and then I was sick and couldn't get up the energy. I'm hoping to get in a run tonight or tomorrow...got to see if my leg has healed up enough to get my groove back on.

Have fun at the improv. I love stand up comedy but never seem to get myself to a show!!
 
Melissa, you MUST get to a show! Being there makes the comedian funnier ;)

I'm very multi-faceted. I sort of laugh at myself when I'm all fancy and prim at work on Saturdays after being a Bohemian raver the night before.....:eek:
 
I know girl, I know! I hear comedians on movin' 99.7 every week that are appearing at Tommy T's in Pleasanton (doing their plugs). They all sounds like total riots. We are so lucky to have so many places to see live comedy and yet I don't take advantage of it!! I must do something about this. LOL
 
I went to a comedy club once with some friends. One of the guys I was with is a professional comedian and two others could be. We positioned ourselves front and center and had a blast. Man, I laughed so hard I got laugh cramps. You know when you are in pain, serious pain, from laughing. One comedian tried to fight the heckles, but the headliner went with it and it made it so much better.

I haven't read the reviews, but I've heard good things about the G9. The G10 is pretty much the same thing with a higher resolution. What have you heard in the reviews?
 
hey there girlie :)

Great job on the run. I gotta get one in myself tonite. Charlie Murphy sounds fun, he was totally funny on the Chappelle Show when it was on... Just thinking about that makes me laugh my ass off.
