LOL!!! I like hearing the truth: "I could never fuck up my moneymaker like that" Hahahaha! Yeah I think I would look pretty ugly with a disfigured face, reminds me of that poor chick in that Sean Penn 1983 movie Bad Boys --uuuuh gaaawd her face was FUUUUUUHHHHHCKED UP! :ack2:!

I got into MMA from my homeboy S. when he took me to the first legal MMA tournament in California, at the Shark Tank in San Jose 2006. I remember it well because it SNOWED in Santa Cruz, all the way to the fucking beach and I was having a trippy time driving on HWY 17 in the snow. I was like, "uh, I live on the Cali Coast--I know nothing about this stuff you call 'snow.'"

LOL! I totally know the movie your talking about, hehe... Awe, what would we do without movies from the early 80's? All the crazy hairstyles, clothes, dancing, and attitudes! It's so bad it feels like home.:biggrinjester: I'm not really that vain :blush5:.... I'm just so not a physical fighter, I'd rather resort to a few ten dollar words and some insults, hehe.... Let's hurt each other's feelings, not each other's faces kind of mentality, lol. I don't mind watching the fights. They can be interesting, and some of the guys are kinda hot :D I know they train hard for what they do, and it's always fun to see who wins and usually how much it means to them.

Just look at what trying to become a boxer and botched plastic surgery did
to this man's face:

You kids are funny how you talk about the 80's like there was some real style going on. It had to be some of the worst clothes and some of the least inspiring music. Sure, now that you look at it it doesn't seem so bad, but when that's all there is... :ack2:

I never been in a physical fight in my life, and my sparring experience is limited at best.

I enjoy horror flicks and violence at times, though not as much lately at all. I adore MMA because I like the techniques and the excitement and yes, the hot guys fo sheezy.

You watch college male wrestling? Damn some of them are HOT as hell :D

Ewwww gross!

I'm a fan of many time periods. The 80's just stand out, not only because i was born during them but i had an older brother who was a teenager during them, so I have a lot of crazy memories just from him. The 80's just feel really nostalgic and fun to me... Too much VH-1 for me I guess, lol :)

LOL!!! I understand where you're coming from, and years ago I would have agreed. But sorry, funkiness and ostentatious clothing is starting to look cooler to me now. They had something going on back then.....outtasite stuff. Must have been all the cocaine and acid or something. I bet cocaine and acid certainly were an influence on the style, I bet if you took enough cocaine and acid you might start to think that the 80s were cooler. HAHA! DON'T DO IT!!!!

I know very well that lots of you out there adore heavy metal and stuff, and it IS awesome and I certainly liked it and still do at times, but

FUNK

IS

THE SHIT

The "funk" of the 80's was really just a cheap imitation of the the real funk of the 70's. The "crazy styles" came off as really just trying to be different without any reason except to be different.

These are not men. These are boys who got older. A real man does not play those games. A real man is open and honest with what he wants and what he gives.

Just like there is a huge difference between a real woman who is capable and can stand on her own two feet, and a girl who is 20 or 30 or older and still plays the same games that she did in high school. You are a grown up, demand that in your partner.

Thank goodness, we needed that, Trops. Perhaps that woman who wrote that book, Miss jelly Belly, was attracting man-boys like that because she had a sick sort of fetish for playing into the mommy role while simultaneously being disgusted at the whole thing. I wouldn't put it past anyone to be unaware of subconscious behavior.

I think there was a lot of drug influence over the 70's and 80's. The clothes are tons of fun but something has to explain them :) and the hairstyles. I remember my mom rocked that damned Jennifer Beals "Flashdance" fro for most of the 80's... and my dad had a moustache-rides porno moustache for the entire decade... lol

The 70s and 80s seem to meld together in a lot of ways. I'm doing independent research on the Bar-Kays and their discography went strong from the late 60s to 1989, as they seemed to meld and adapt to the times.

Dead Kennedys and Misfits and Black Sabbath were part of the 80s....don't ever forget that.

I think that if the 80s's styles make us laugh, then it is a positive thing. :D

I had the time of my life at an 80s party--here's a pic. With the ex! hahahahaha! That was back in Feb 2007

I had something called "Vegan cutlets" for lunch. A prepared meal from Bezerkeley, CA--potato, carrots, peas, beans, cabbage, wheat sunflower oil, breadcrumbs, spices and salt with a mint-mango-jalapeno-ginger-apple-onion chutney.....:drooling: Soooooo goooooood! They look like chicken nuggets, haha--I actually CALLED Planatary Products in Berkeley demanding the calories and it turns out the whole pack is about 500, which is what I was aiming for in a lunch anyway (the nutritional info wasn't on the package). Add on a Kombucha, some Inca Golden berries and a small Maya Gold dark chocolate bar and I'm up to 1500 calories for the day, which is good because I'm kickboxing tonight and going to yoga and won't have dinner until 9pm. I'll be burning upwards of 700 calories from KB and Yoga depending on how I push myself, so I can afford a dinner of 600 calories if I want a 400 cal deficit.

I cannot seem to manage a daily 500 calorie deficit, and that's fine for me, my downward direction of weight this week (150-->147--->146--->144.5) is all right and good. If I hit a plateau I will TRY to get in a 500 calorie daily deficit but I never seem to manage that. Usually I hit maintenance or have a 200-350 cal def. It's all the exercise.......:svengo: Whatever, I'm training. :D Like Steve said about how his abs go into hiding when he bulks.....;)

Also, if I "eat clean" for real without cheating, and I'm not tracking my calories I usually lose weight, like Ed did recently. But if I want chocolate and ice cream and fried banana, I have to watch my cals.....

70's yes I'm not buying that 80's funk. Still have to convince me of something good.

Most of the Bar-Kays died in 68
Black Sabbath broke up (basicly) in 79
Dead Kennedys, I'll give you that, but Punk was still carrying over from the 70's

144.5 lbs this morning, still the same. I like my body a lot and I SWEAR my tits haven't looked this good and STAYED looking this good sine I dunno when!! Good deal, dunno what's going on, must be all the and . Who knew that heart-opening asanas could turn out to be a long term tit-lift?

HAHAHAHA! My Hawaii fling told me when we were messing around when I was out there last month that he was shocked because I had "15-year-old tits on a 26-year-old body". WOW, talk about a compliment! Shit :blush5: I told him he was drunk and couldn't see very well :smash: Hmmm, although I must say I'm thankful for that part of my body. If I think hard, in 2008, at least 4 guys told me I had the nicest tits they'd ever seen on a woman they'd been with. Mission accomplished (?) Thanks, Mom (?)

Contrarily, I haven't felt horny or sexual at all lately, and I'm even supposed to be ovulating. This is cool, because I'm not getting any, nor am I even close, nor am I even interested in it :Angel_anim: Hahahaha! It helps I hang out with women all the time and go straight home to bed. Tonight will be my first night at a club, dancing, and I'm wearing normal clothes, nothing fancy. DUBSTEP all the way!!!! I can hardly wait :D

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tomorrow morning is my 10K trail race. I want to win it for women like I did last year. If I don't, I'll accept it graciously and be happy for the woman who does. I'm not a sore loser.

I had a hard time with some standing asanas in yoga last night because my legs were tired from kicking and squatting and jumping etc. But I still had a strong practice, AND I was able to get into and STAY in without falling. YAY!!! :hurray:

I could never manage that asana. I kept trying, and I didn't give up. Now I can do it almost effortlessly. Let that be a lesson to anyone out there about anything you truly desire. Don't give up.
