Hey thanks everyone!
Well, I'm back from my vacation........and 3.5 lbs heavier! But I can explain!
I started my period early--on the plane! At Day 18!! WTF?? There are a few factors: excessive travel, the horrible heavy metals in the air from the volcano, and possibly all the sex I'd been having, hahahaha! Wild, kinky sex, jeez! V.F.B. turned out to be a local, 6'3", 230 lbs (he wants to lose weight too! But like, 30 lbs!) LEO man who decided it would be cool to leave a handprint on my ass at 5:30 am the morning I left his house to pack and get on the plane. OUCH! Hmm, I'll spare the details but the interesting thing is I found myself being ROMANTIC with this guy. Like, we really really liked each other. He took me boating, and
was going to take me dirtbiking and scuba diving (for free, he's a fisherman/diver with my homegirl's boyfriend) but there wasn't enough time. Although HUGE and kinda chubby, he's very active and VERY much like myself in many ways

We both sort of admitted we would most likely DATE

if I lived over there. Which I wouldn't. The air SUCKS and I found it impossible to run in the vog. Plus, I LOVE all my friends and family too much to leave them for so long, and I ADORE California and all it has to offer. Anyway, it's so nice to be single
I ate SO WELL and I didn't get too drunk the trip, actually toward the end I started not drinking as much and I decided I want to QUIT DRINKING until my 10K trail race 9-27-08, quit drinking in the sense of NO BEER and limited amounts of wine, as in no more than a glass at a time, and no more than a few glasses a week. This is because:
a. I won't be disrupting my sleep with alcohol, and will therefore sleep well and have lots of energy for work and training.
b. I'll be able to get home earlier so I can cook myself meals (I've been having healthy albeit expensive meals at my favorite restaurants since I moved to B.C.) and spend quality time with my cat
c. I'll have more time to clean and organize and fix up my room and the house.
d. I'll be performing at optimum level for my 10K trail race and subsequent half marathon, most likely winning the trail race for women like last year and hopefully getting a good time for the 1/2 marathon.
Sound good? I know!

I also have decided to incorporate a morning/daily yoga routine to "center myself" since I'm so fucking hyphy. I did the AM yoga routine with Rodney Yee (good old Rod

) but it's too little for me, so I'm putting together a playlist of yoga music to do. I purchased some beautiful chimes and excellent yoga pants in Hilo.
By the way, I did NOT run into BJ Penn. He wasn't at his studio/gym, but when I was in Hilo I DID try to find him
