HAHA! Awesome! My teacher is ALL ABOUT that, she even says we need to get the butt-rolls rolling, LOL!!!
:smilielol5:........Oh really?!?!

"Miss Teacher, I THINK I DESERVE A STAR IN THAT CASE!"...I roll these rolls like no one ROLLS them Round Here! ;) And I should get an extra star for BOUNCING ROLLS!!! :smilielol5:........

OK, so Steve played down my "active recovery" but I must say, I was surprised and thrilled that the Yoga and belly dancing got rid of some soreness and stiffness, because it appeared as if I wouldn't be able to do those things. Turns out to be the best thing for me, to keep moving. Although directly after the race I sat on my ass and iced my knees and drank champagne :D THAT was also the best thing for me :D

Weight dropped again to 147, I'm pretty sure it'll get to its pre-race 145 in a few days, after this cycle moves on. The moon is filling up and is lighting up my porch at night--soon I'll be doing some Moonlight Yoga to some trippy music outside--the nights up at my house are warm, lately--warmer than summer!

Yesterday Rebekah taught us a cute little Egyptian style dance routine that I managed rather well! Amazing. Well, I was still shitty but I faked it as best I could :D No zills, although last night I practiced and am getting closer to doing the moves and using the zills on cue. It is HARD, though, and I'm not there yet--just getting closer! The routine R taught us is a sexy little controlled, soft dance with no big movements or grand gestures--ya don't "give any of it away," ya "keep it for yourself" as far as body motions and such. A teasing sort of dance, but it's difficult to pull off. I always want to get into some wild gypsy flurry and have to hold myself back :smash:

I'm back to counting calories--I gave that up right before and after the race, but as I'm completely recovered now and not doing intense cardio until tomorrow, I need to watch my nutrition. This evening I'm going to WEIGHT TRAIN :beating: Ahhhh! I'm considering putting in some explosive movements, too :D I need to check around and see what would work best for me. Then Yoga at 7:30.

Hey there girlie:)

Glad to hear the active recovery helped the run's stiffness leave your body. It's a good thing :)

That moonlight yoga sounds fun, especially with the trippy music.

Your new avatar is great. I like it. I really liked the one though with the pic of you in the water though.

Congrats on the 1/2 marathon. :hurray:

How about some tandem moonlight yoga? :reddevil:

When I saw that new avi, I thought you'd had a sex change. hahaha I like looking at you rather than come beefcake--especially as it's TLD today. :D

HAHA!

Aleksander is no real beefcake--he's scary-sexy and Oh-so-foreign :drool5: Gawd I'm just watching him fight Josh Barnett even though I know he's going to lose.....sigh! He's so calm and controlled and nonchalant as he beats on Baby's Face :reddevil: The cool thing about a fantasy encounter with him is he speaks little to no English :hurray:

Boring!

Yesterday I worked, then I went to the gym and weight trained--for whatever reason, I'm not that sore today. I almost never post my workouts because I forget what everything is called and I'm too lazy to look it up, but here I'll give it a shot (make fun of me all you want):

2 x 12 free chest flies w 25 lbs
3 x 10 tricep moves, 3 different angles w free 12.5 lbs
4 x 10 shoulder w free 15 lbs
1 x 10 on each side rows w free 25 lbs
3 x 10 more upper back stuff, pulling 45 lbs
3 x 8 full, perfect formed pushups at different angles (regular, triceps, wide arms)

that was my upper body, then I

3 x 8 free standing barbell squats with 115 lbs
3 x 10 machine hamstring curls w 35 lbs
4 x 10 machine, hamstring gluteal push back thing w 45 lbs
6 x 10 different gluteal workouts on hands and knees--just lifting legs sort of in different ways, different angles

That's it, I don't concentrate on my legs too much. The running and kickboxing sort of do it for me, and the barbell squats are very effective.

10 x 2 lower back thing where you sort of get held in the air, with a static hold at the end of each set
2 x 10 on each side, obliques, standing in that thing that holds you out
3 x 10 abs, holding myself up with arms and lifting legs to 90 degrees
same thing but prone--and adding a hip lift at the end of each lift of legs

Hmm I think that's it.

Then I went to Yoga--there was a substitute for Mag, a guy named Eric. I'd never had Mag as a teacher before, but Eric was pretty funny. I have never giggled so much during a Yoga class. It was still relaxing. He wasn't a GREAT teacher but we got the basics done. No pranayama, and very little meditation but that's OK.

Weight down to 145.5 today. Kickboxing and Yoga after work.

Sigh! Still no sex or dating or being hammered since August. Hahahaha, I am sooooooooooooo boring! :blush5:

Just a thought... you could probably get the same thrill by going to a BAD part of town, hitting up an ATM to withdrawl your life savings, then stroll gingerly down the street with the green sticking out of your pockets, while dressed like Julia Roberts in pretty woman before she meets what ever the hell his name is!!!! :D

The thrill! Not knowing if your going to make it out of something alive or not. I can only imagine that's your interest in old Alex there. Would he be sensative and attentive in the moment, or brutal?!?!?
Probably a bad analogy... just an attempt at humor... but it is usually funnier when you have to explain it *acting like cocky asshole*

LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :iagree: I am ALL ABOUT the thrill of getting out alive! ;)

:drooling: Ohh gawd :drooling: I could only hope that any encounter, however far-fetched, would be plenty BRUTAL :reddevil: Hahahahahaa!
