Anywho - yeah that's exactly right. That's why I kept stating it over and over again in my replies - I don't count calories, so the 1300 was just an estimate number. Not in any way an exact count. Which was the point I was trying to make, but I think ppl keep getting the impression that when I say approx 1300 - that's an exact count for each day. So thanks for understanding what I'm trying to say ... lol. I don't count calories. I would just guess it to be around 1300 on a busy day (that I don't get any snacks in for instance). But I'm sure that since I dont' count them - my calories fluctuate a little bit from day to day depending on wether I have time for snacks in between meals, and what I have for dinner, etc.

I DO have an idea of what foods are high or low in calories, fat, etc. Just because I've been reading labels for SO LONG. But I just can't stand counting calories - I tried it for a couple days once - it felt like another "chore" that I had to do. I didn't like it at all and knew I wouldn't stick to a program like that. So I just read labels and try to eat healthier foods that are generally lean.
 
I count 1,350 calories before dinner (just with the shakes and a snack). So I also vote that you're getting more than you think - which is a good thing, in your case. Going by your rate of weight loss (20 pounds in 5 months = a pound a week = 500 calorie a day deficit), I'd guess possibly as much as 1,900 calories a day.

IMHO, you probably don't need to add a significant amount.

What kind of goats do you have? I grew up on a dairy goat farm (Nubians).
 
Perhaps one day (an average eating day) I'll just calculate all my calories for that day - so I have a more accurate idea of what an average day is for me calorie wise. :)

I have a variety ... lol. I have 2 pygmy goats, 2 nigerian dwarf goats, 1 kinder (nubian x pygmy), 1 snubian (saanen x nubian) and 1 nubian who I'm buying but isn't here yet. :jump:

Ok, well I recorded ALL of my food from today on the fitday website.

So I'm getting approx what I thought - around the 1300 or so calories.
However, I mixed one of my shakes today (my breakfast shake). So add 350 calories to my total on my fitday details and that's my average day. So in other words (without making you look at my details on fitday) - I'm getting approx 1563 calories per day and burning approx 229 per day - Ending with a total of 1334 calories.
 
I think most people would give you "credit" for the 1500-1600 calories a day you eat, rather than netting them with exercise expenditures.

Oh, I misunderstood - I somehow thought your shakes were always Muscle Milk (348) + banana (109) + aloe (25) + flax (maybe 60-120 calories, depending on how much you put in) = ~540-600 calories each. If you're just using the powder and water, that's lots fewer calories.
