crampppp?????

Hey guys!!!
ive been weight training for about 4months now.. but every time i do a pump class (weights on the bar) i get the biggest cramp in my left hand in the part just down from my pinky ... any ideas how to stop it??? its anoying cause i feel i could use heavier weights if it would go away

I'm assuming it is in the palm area?

I'm sure this is just a pain of contracting the muscle for too long, as a result it is like stiff, and extremely painful.

Do you squeez your equipment too hard? If so, loosen up. I really don't know what else to say. Maybe you should try those hand grips to see if they can loosen and warmup your muscles in that area just before training.
 
Lots and lots of streching!!!!

Some ppl used to say that its a lack of salt in your diet but im not sure about that.

I used to get calf cramps a lot, but only when in cold weather. Try and stay warm, do lots of jumping on your toes, and streching.
 
Make sure you are eatting well and 'feeding' the muscles the proper nutrition they need... Stretch... Make sure you have plenty of water in you...
 
Go see a specialist and ask to have the flexor digitorum, palmor aponeurosis, and flexor carpi radialis muscles examined. These are located in the palm and wrist.
