It is saturday morning and i am sitting here re evaluating my goal.

Goal Date 11th November, Matti Tikka PL & BP Challenge

Goal Weight: 82 kg (I would like to drop another weight division)

Squat: I would like to improve my squat depth more than the weight i am lifting, at the moment my squat depth it patchy and was borderline in two lifts at the last competition.

Bench Press: I would like to bring my Bench press up to 65 kg, I need to work on improving the strenght in my weak arm (Right) and to practice the pause at the bottom of the lift.

Deadlift: I would like to bring my deadlift up to 140 kg

all of the above lifts are raw but i would also like to get a squat suit, DL suit and bench shirt for competition like the other lifters i am competing against.

I watched the Mighty EELS take on the warriors last nights in round 1 of the finals on TV and i thought that the penalty Try was a crock of shit by the warriors, but at least it didn't change the result. EELS WIN :jump::jump::jump:

Sunday:

I had a quiet sunday no exercise and eating was better than usual for a sunday. felt sick most of the day with a head cold.

Today:

still feel bad with a head cold, I am not well enough to work out this morning but will try to make it to the gym for a light workout this afternoon.

Tuesday:

Exercise was ok despite feeling rotten, I am under a lot of stress at the moment which is not helping my health.

warmup : rowing machine 5 minutes

deadlifts 4 sets + a single at 125 kg
stiff leg deadlifts 3 sets up to 70 kg
shrugs 3 sets 40 kg dumbells
squats 3 sets @ 110 kg (lower weight to work on form and depth)

will spend 30 minutes on bike before bed

food was ok, started recording my food again to check my calorie and protein intake this week

Wednesday:

fitness assesment

in the last 6 weeks i have lost 2 inches off my arse, and an inch off my hips but gained an inch on each thigh and 1/2 an inch to my bust.

my bodyfat is down 1/2 % and my weight is also down by 1 kg on the gym scales.

a couple of week ago a started wearing size 14 jeans again (size 12 in US sizes) but due to muscular thighs it is hard to find jeans that will fit over my legs but my waist is close to fitting the next size down. My other fitting problem is short legs, at only 5'2" most jeans are way toooo long of the rack.

Warmup: 6 minutes rowing machine

Cable flys 22.5 kg
single arm press 60 kg
chin ups
tricep extensions
bicep curls

will hit the gym again this afternoon and spend some more time on the bike tonight.

i will continue to track my food on fitday this week

Hey Friend! I think it is great you lost two inches in the rear! You go girl!! That's two inches you don't have to squeeze into small places anymore. hehe Good job!

This is my first post here in months so a b\it of an update is needed

After a much needed 2 month break i am back in training for the North Queensland games in 8 weeks time. The break has not affected my weight or my lifts very much at all and a full fitness assesment including a beep test showed i have made some improvements.

My diet now looks radically different after discovering I have alergies to wheat, rice and milk. which means i am no longer able to eat many of the foods I used to and I have yet to find a protein powder to supplement my diet which i am not alergic to.

I would like to drop down to the next weight category for the next comp.

Glad you are back!! Good luck with the training girlfriend. How did you find out you had wheat allergies? I've suspected I may have them too, but the doctors are a pain in the butt and won't give me an allergy test very easily, they want me to keep a diary and yadda yadda yadda.

How do you feel off the wheat?

Life without wheat is a bitch but i am eating far fewer calories now. I am finding it hard to eat enough, I am in trouble with my coach again today for my poor eating habits :ack2: not enough protein, not eating often enough, not enough total calories. I have to give a copy of my food diary to my coach each day.

I Spent this mornings workout using the bosu to work my core, I am at the gym every day now except sat/sun.

I had a naturopath organise my alergy testing but mum is getting blood tests by her doctor for celiac disease at the moment.

the good thing about knowing what my allergies are, the symptoms have almost gone away completely.

There are a lot of people whose systems don't tolerate wheat, but boy it must be tough to do without. Its great to see you back here and training hard :)

I hear you on the wheat. When I was doing low carb, I cut it out and I felt great. It was so tough to eat though, especially finding quick snacks at a corner store.

Do you find that when you eat wheat, it makes you swell or bloat up in the belly area? That happens to me when I eat wheat and high carbs. But it never happens when I don't eat wheat or much carbs. I was always curious if that was caused by the wheat, but I know excess carbs can cause bloating too. Once I ate a slice of bread and it made me bloated.

I don't get bloated from wheat but withing a couple of hours of eating anything with weat in it i will get an extemely itchy rash on both arms and both legs.

booked my airfares yesterday and mum is paying for the accommodation only 1 block away from the venue :) she will also be flying up to watch me compete which is also good as i have not seen mum in about 4 years.

Hi Trusylver,
Thanks for you kind words I received my plan today,
look forward to starting it Tuesday. Wow are you busy,
good luck in your comp and the wheat allergy, it doesn't
sit well with me either
Cheers Jenni

It has been a quiet weekend but food has been ok but still need to eat more protein. have changed to tracking my food on calorie king australia rather than fitday because ck has the australian brands. 1 more week before i go into cutting phase and reducing my salt levels.

I had a good workout this morning and the staff at the gym said i Intimidated the TV crew that were there filming another lifter :reddevil: who competes in a different federation that has no drug testing and slack rules. lol the staff thought it was funny that i was putting this suposedly shit hot lifter to shame during his TV interview :rotflmao:

I was squatting 120 kg for sets of 3. :hurray:

now that my youngest son only goes to school in the morning beacause of his ASD i now have to teach him his afternoon lessons at home which makes getting everything done very hard but I have been very good with my eating.

measurements today down 2 cm on everything except my arse where i lost a whole 4 cm.

bodyfat % in marginally above healthy but should be back down into healty by comp date.

had another hard workout at the gym today, my coach pushed me hard for deadlifts and a few variations of other lifts to make the workout harder. but she did say i was looking good and was a lot thinner in the face.

rest of the day was crap, had to drive to Nambour in the rain and easter traffic for my youngest sons doctors apointment to have his meds changed because of side effects (Nightmares every night) didn't eat enough and some of it was crap (1 600 ml bottle of coke and 1 small piece of premium dark chocolate - non dairy) it is now almost 7:30 pm and still have not eaten as many calories as i burned this morning at the gym. but i am not hungry and very tired so will send the kids to bed and crash early tonight.

so far easter has been ok, have eaten 2 small pieces of premium chocolate (non dairy).
