Countdown to Competition

Thankyou everybody for posting, when i have time i might move the photo's to this diary.

RPM went well last night

I hit the gym this morning for upper body, I am beginning to realy hate the two inch bench presses, they are harder than normal full bench presses, I must remember they are good for me

so far this morning i have eaten

1 LCM bar from the gym (forgot to take my protein and as you should have some carbs after working out, this was it)

forgot to keep the packet for the nutritional info

1 Protein bar (chocolate fudge brownie flavour)
18.3 grams protein
5.7 grams fat
20.9 grams carbs

Chilli Tuna

21.7 g Protein
0.9 g fat
7.2 g carbs

104 grams of protein to go

will go to the gym again this afternoon for lower body

I got a passport photo printed this morning for my powerlifting membership card. I also need to get outside and dig another bed in the vegge patch today.

So I went back to your first post and tried to contemplate the amount of weight you're lifting or weight you press. I wish you luck in the competition but it doesn't sound like you need it, you must have nice muscles.

the current top female lifters in australia has just been udated

the weights are in kg and the total is for all three lifts (Squat, deadlift, Benchpress)

if i can reach my goal weight in time it is possible for me to make the list :jump:

weights are in kg and is for benchpress only events. I won't be competing in BPress only but it is an interesting list.

No gym this morning but will do an upper body session before RPM tonight.

Trusylver, thank you so much for posting in my diary...cause it led me to yours!:jump: I'm so impressed with your work-outs and goals!! Would you mind explaining a bit more about the two-inch bench press...how many reps, how many sets, how long rest between? at normal or lower weight? yada yada

cym: the two inch press for me is 3 sets of ten of my normal workout weight after I have completed my normal bench presses with a rest of 2.5 minutes between sets.

my max bench is 50 kg (110lb) and my working sets are at 45 kg (99 lb). I begin to struggle at rep 7 at the moment and a spotter is esential because my coach wants me to push out the full 10 each set taking it to failure.

the bar only moves from your chest up two inches and back. I was told this method of improving the bottom of your bench press was develoed in russia.

My coach feel that I should be able to start pushing through my sticking point and raise my max lift in a week or two.

Made it to RPM last night but will miss this mornings session so i can get to my doc appointment to discuss alternate asthma medication that is not on the banned drug list for sport OR get an exemption form filled in.

it has been a slow rest day today, went to the doctor and had my asthma medication changed to one that is not on the banned drug list for sport.

tomorrow football(soccer) resumes after a break for school holidays followed by a new campaign of Warhammer fantasy beginning in the afternoon.

Won't be back to the gym till monday which will give my muscles a good chance to recover from a week of punishment

I have had a good morning watching my boys play football (soccer) my youngest scored his first ever goals both time taking the ball from his own half in defence and dribbling about 2/3 the length of the field to score. he also set up one goal with a fantastic pass. :jump: He qualifies to compete in a special team because of his autism but plays well enough to be one of the better players in his normal team. My eldest played well in defence in his game I have been told, unfortunately I can't watch two games at the same time.

fish for breakfast

quick rest at home before heading back into town

I loved the story about your boys :) Congrats! What good little soccer players ;) I hope you have a great day!

Thank you so much for giving me the details on the 2" press...sounds brutal (and yet I am curiously eager to try it out!)...Have a great week.

Good morning all, Today is deadlift day at the gym, I am down to 90.8 kg today :) only 0.8 to go to make weight for my lifting comp. I would like to go a little under my goal so i can wear a little more than undies when i weigh in

Your doing a great job getting your weight down. You have so much will power and determination.

Sounds like your sons did great at soccer. I remember when my brothers and I were younger we all played multiple sports and my parents couldn't get to all the games at once. They could only be in so many places ... but we understood:)

Have a good evening
