Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

:grouphug: Thanks, Guys!! You all are so sweet!!! Thank you, really means the world! Often times, you guys make me re evaluate the way I see myself. Thank you!

FABULOUS weekend Reading & working out!!! I LOVE Lance Armstrong!!! :beating:! He is so inspiring! I read all 3oo pages in 2 1/2 days!! INSPIRING-PERSISTENCE-OVERCOMING ALL ODDS-CANCER SURVIVOR-BRAIN SURGERY SURVIVOR-CHAMPION-DEFY ALL ODDS, and AMAZING!!! Those are all the things this man is!! I did relate to him, a lot. His mom reminded me of mine, and his reasons for moving his body after the cancer and during were the same reasons that I would use to run! If I can run, then I am healed is what I would say to myself! He would say the same. I was shocked to hear that, but at the same time, not.

He really did inspire the shit out of me!!! I will most definitely be using him as my workout partner again!!

Saturday workout was routine by the beach!! :hurray: w/ my very good friend! On the drive over there, I did a circuit in my head for us to warm up with:

25 jumping jack
10 X- jacks
25 squats
50 squat punches ( last 10 squat even lower)
50 squat blocks (last 10 squat even lower)
50 mountain climbers
25 pushups
100- bicycle abs w/ arms

--3 sets--(My friend was very impressed with my pushups & I pushed her with motivation to get off her knees & push through! I told her, choose ONE spot on the floor, FOCUS, take a deep breath & do not let your vision wander. Breath deeply, tighten the body all over, and go down with each breath, I CAN-1, I CAN-2, I CAN-3...and so on) Her last set she whipped out 20 like that-when the rest she had been doing knees. Something about being with someone next to you who CAN do it, that pushes you to SHUT UP AND DO IT! She told me,...you should be a trainer! Shit! hahah..

Job well done! :D!

...then we did stairs -3 sets (200 up/200 down)- 25 wall pushups @ bottom of each set
...then we did 4.5 mile run & took off our shoes and went to walk in ocean water :beating:
...then we did 3 more sets of stairs- 25 wall pushups @ bottom of each set

Came home, relaxed, read & took a great bubble bath w/ my bf!! ;) I'm feeling GREAT about myself!! Doing the actions definitely makes me happy!

The scale today still said 166.6, which is good that is not up! Loving that! I did eat a little pizza the other day, about 3 1/2 slices worth! But have balanced it well these past days with food. Pizza was Friday. :D! Gonna work hard this week, and hope to smash some by thursday! That would be really cool to be down to 164 by then. Either way! CONSISTENT PERSISTENCE is the way to be for me!

The bookstore had 30% off all their books the other day since they are closing & I went a little crazy & bought tons!

-It's not about the Bike (Lance Armstrong)
-When Food is Love (Geneen Roth)
-Why Weight? (Geneen Roth)
-Karma & Reincarnation Transcending Past/Transforming Future (Elizabeth Clare Prophet)
-The Secret of the Ages The Master Code to Abundance & Acheivement (Robert Collier)
-Life between Lives-Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression (Michael Newton Ph.D)

I think the next one I'm starting tonight is The Secret of the Ages-Abundance and Acheivement! :cheers2:!!!

Finished p90x & Ab ripper X today too!! Love life!!!

Alta, I know you like to learn new things and get different perspectives so maybe you would want to check out some of Lyle McDonald's writings. I have two of his books and I'm actually doing one of his diets right now. Not all of his methods are for everyone but one thing I thought was totally true for a lot of us was his theory on stalls and whooshes. Basically it recognizes that people can diet well for a while and not have weight drop and then suddenly, "WHOOSH," a big drop in weight. It has happened to me twice in the past 6 weeks. My point of telling you is, hang on. If your weight is staying the same despite positive changes (for the most part), you could be due for a "whoosh." ;) Maybe two or three pounds in one week or who knows, maybe more. Just keep working hard and eating right. And drinking enough water! A lot of times, a few days of adequate water can cause a whoosh.

Derrick

Hey sounds like you are doing really great - and motivated as always.
i love inspirational reading too. iwent to the bookshop the other day - wanted to get chicken soup for the soul. they didnt have it - i ll proably order it online. i need to get something to keep me going!!
You are really living it up bubble bath and all that...!!:hurray:
Good workout too - pretty sure the scale will show you some love soon!!!
Keep smiling!!!

Derrick!! Funny you mention it! I actually have one of Lyle Mc Donald's books. I have the one ...hold on let me check... The Rapid Fat Loss Handbook. I remember that I had lost it in my trunk forever, but I actually have it right here! :) I think I will probably give it a read. This morning when I was talking to the trainer, that I've been kinda stuck for 2 weeks, he mentioned he was reading a book that goes off kinda the same concept that Tony Horton p90x does. Tony and both him, recommended that I minimize the sugar intake (even fruits) eliminate the dairy intake for at least a week (Tony recommends the whole month) and lower the carb intake to the minimal attained from veggies. I'll tell you, the stubborn woman in me, really didn't want to, BUT,...the determined woman in me, said FUCK IT! I can do it for one month! Take it week by week though. So hopefully, this week I'll up my water like you said, lower the salt, and almost eliminate the sugar...and I should have a WHOOSH!! ;)

Justina: I love seeing you in my dairy! Have I told you that?! I adore your energy! Something about the way that you write keeps me very intruiged too. :) You are a doll! I am really trying to live it up, bubble bath and all! ;) If we don't do it for ourselves, then who will, right?! Love that you love inspirational reading too! I think more people in the world need to read.

All my pushups are manly now... ;) Boooyaaa!

Not sure how great lowering the carbs and sugar is going to go since I am craving FRUIT! I did have an orange, made chicken soup and put some brown rice in in. Oh well. I'm minimizing at least!

Yesterday went great on food, great on Bootcamp, and Great on p90x 1 hour training!

It went fantastic!! I'm pushing hard, jumping higher, running faster and looking tighter! :drool5: Drinking tons of water, taking vitamins, and BRINGING IT to my workouts!

I booked and saw my first $500 weight loss 8 session Hypnotherapy package yesterday to a lady I used to work with yearssss ago, who sought me out on facebook, for her 13 year old daughter. I told her that I would give her a special if she paid the sessions up front. That does several things, 1) Instills committment in them 2) provides them a huge discount because I know they are serious 3) gives me faster cash flow.--All in all- It's so crazy how life is directing me to work with children. This will be the 2nd person under 15 years old that I work with in the past month. It's very interesting,...and inspiring! Kids are the fountain of our youth! They are the key to the soul! They are what will continue to make the world go round and round! I think it's fantastic.

My client yesterday, is 13 years old, no more than 5'2 and 204 lbs :( . What a crappy way to start the peak of what will soon be teenage years. I am really happy that they committed to the 8 sessions. I make it a point to people, that if they are committed, then I'm committed. Change takes time, and it is a process. I am willing to help them overcome and surmount those hurdles, only if they are. It takes the two of us, together. She was excited! Somewhat shy, yet opening up much more toward the end. I will continue seeing her for the next 8 weeks. It's funny, that usually, I adore, love and care for my clients, BUT yesterday, I was compelled to get home & really say a PRAYER fueled with emotion for her to God. I asked him if he could please let me help her & him to help me help her & her to help herself!

She reminded me of my 13 year old sister who got a handle on her weight, the same age, and is thin and FIT now. It also reminded me of how, though I wasn't that big, I was still a big teen growing up, and all the things that it may have robbed me of. Like sports. Something that she said also. :angelsad2: Regardless, I'm going to provide her the tools, the resources, the support, the motivation, so she can INSPIRE herself to action! I know that she can do it! Kids change WAY FASTER than adults! ...Way faster. Adults are so programmed with failure and fear that it limits us. Kids are almost like wet sponges and they soak up everything quickly!

I wish this for her. I'm starting to wonder if God wants me to help more kids since I struggled with this as a child my whole life. I'm sure he will let me know! I even thought of having a PARENTS/KIDS meetup group that workouts on Saturdays and does circuits together and posting it on that site ! ...it was a thought. I wonder if people would come?! ... "If you build it, they will come!" :D! hahah! One of my other weight loss clients that is consistent too, I gave her the idea, and she started a walking meetup group and has over 120 members now. It's only been 1 or 2 months since she started it. How great would it be for parents to get INVOLVED with their children and make it fun with other kids! They could make friends, too.

Decided to write down the circuit we did with the Trainer today:

.5 mile SPRINT 7.3 speed 1/2 - then 10.0 speed the rest (warmup)

Biggest Loser Huge white ropes-
100 two hand rope (sitting-body contracted)

Chest Press- 30lbs (machine) -25 reps
Seated Row- 50lbs- (machine) -25 reps
25 diamond pushups-
~~3 sets~

100 one on one arm-rope work
50 body slams-rope work
100 snake rope-
50 body slams-rope work
~1 set~

50 jumping jacks
50 lunge squats
30 second ab hover- on arms-(looks like pushup)
50 jumping jacks
30 second ab hover-same above
~1 set~

30 dips (nice, slow, and steady! ;) )
100 on on one rope body arm slams
~3 sets~

Stretch- cooldown-
I think I am the worlds most SWEATY woman ever! Within 5 minutes, I am drenched!!! It looks like I'm showering the whole time. Love it though! ;) I bring just as much at home on my own too!

"Be the change you wish to see in this World." Ghandi
..that's what I'm trying to do here! Lead by example! Me and my girlfriend were saying that once we are p90x graduates in 90 days that we should drive down to Vegas for a girls trip! Sounds FABULOUS to be able to enjoy a new body by the pools! I even tried on a bikini top for motivation, one that I had never wore before cause I was too chubbo. LOL!" It worked. INSPIRED!

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne
Creator of The Secret and The Power

From The Secret Daily Teachings
When a big change occurs in your life it forces you to change direction. Sometimes the new path may not be easy, but you can be absolutely certain that there is magnificence for you on the new path. You can be absolutely certain that the new path contains things that you could not have experienced otherwise.

When we look back at a negative event that occurred in the past, we often see how in fact it transformed our life. We see how that event directed us toward a life that we would not change for anything.

May the joy be with you,

Lady lady lady - you are totally crazy! :)
LoL - in a very good way!!!

SOOOoooooo...well done on lowering carbs and sugar...i can imagine how hard it might be. my friend did the candida diet for 2 months...that was totally crazy....she almost lived on air..Anyway - do you like pink grapefruit??? they are sooooo nice! i m a complete addict -i have them usually 30mins after my meal more or less. & i totally dont have cravings for the rest of the days...they are low in sugar.
Carbs carbs...have you tried quinoa? this is good to substitue rice or pasta. & its mainly protein.

BTW - hypnotherapy - i didnt know you did it! wow - you are totally great for this job!! & well done on securing a deal thats good for everyone!!
i think its the most amazing job when you do something you really enjoy. i d love to become a nutritionist - but not the usual type. i wanna learn bio-chemistry nutrion or something similar - the courses are super expensive though...so at the moment i m just doing reseach and all that.
Or I thought about becoming a fitness instructor of some sort - in that case i would totally have no exuse not to keep fit :D I d be sorted for life!
Back to YOU - You gonna do an amazing job with that kid!! i wish i could had you when i was 13 as my hypnotherapist!!!!!

Your Vegas trip sounds wicked!!! :driving: you guys gonna have so much fun!!!

AWESOME WORKOUT again!!!!

Keep up the good job girl & May the joy be with you! :grouphug:

Thanks girl!! That is the sweetest compliment! I wish I could have had me too for a hypnotherapist at my age then! LOL! ...:grouphug:!!

Going back to carbs, and fruit! The past three days, I have been depleted of energy, moody, and BITCHY!! :cuss: I barely managed my workouts, and almost sabotaged myself this morning for my bootcamp. I'm eating a healthy balanced breakfast now, and feeling the energy already! Yesterday went for a 3.5 mile run in afternoon, did bootcamp, but DIDN't do p90x. I was DRAINED!!! I figured, I do toooooo much exercise to cut out my loved carbs and fruits. My body said FUCK YOU and stole my energy. So no more!

Treated myself to some CUTE SHOES today! ...The goal was milk, and I came home with groceries and shoes. Go figure! :D!! I have two clients today, and then I should be meeting up with a friend to go to Agape Spiritual center today. :) Gonna be good! My mood is getting better already! :jump:!

The Rapid Fat Loss diet by Lyle is exactly what I have been doing since January 17th. I bought the book in early December, read it and came up with a plan and a couple alternative plans just in case something didn't go as planned. So far, 19 pounds lost in 7 weeks and that includes a 2 week diet break! The diet works but you absolutely should NOT do it unless you have read and understand the book. You could seriously do more harm to yourself than good. Even if you don't ever do the diet, just reading the book will teach you a few things about weight loss.

Bring it!! p90x!! I brought it! :reddevil:! I was back to my ol ENERGIZED self again this morning! I brought it to bootcamp, I brought it to my eating, I brought it to vitamins, I brought it to water, and I brought it to my clients, I brought it to cleaning, I brought it to organizing, I brought it to TREATING myself right, I brought it to "me" time, I brought it to relaxing, I brought it to reading, I brought it to supporting others, I brought it to being STRESS free and choosing to focus on the positives. Heck, I even brought it to being an INDEPENDENT woman and using a SAW & HAMMER to put up my hammock. I also brought it to starting my own fire and my own healthy BBQ for my favorite person,...MEEEE!!! Overall....I brought it!!

...There was so much energy, there was NO need for nap time today! :gnorsi:

.....:cheers2: Here's to making every obstacle, an opporunity. Whether we realize it or not! :D! Ahhhhhhhhhhh....**whoooosaaaa**

(As a side note, I could have chosen to stress the fuck out about my lease and my rent for my office going variable and charging the SHIT out of me, ..and leaving me wondering if I can even afford that location any longer because of it. BUT..fuck that! I chose to release the thought, and KNOW that for whatever reason, EVERYTHING IS WORKING OUT JUST AS IT SHOULD, AT THE RIGHT TIME, WITH THE PERFECT PEOPLE, PLACES, for my goals, whether I realize it or not!... So, this is an obstacle with an OPPORTUNITY masked in it. Always. The opportunities are always there, once we get past ourselves and look beyond the barries of the "knowns" in our life and step into the "unkowns"! That's where the infinite possibilites lie, and I CHOOSE today, and tomorrow and for the rest of my life,...to see it that way. And so it is!! Amen!)

This really is starting to make my day...!! i have been stressing over everything right now...my car has a clutch problem - has to be taken to service - but cant find papers, the weather, the preparations for vacation, work, my eye...and then i just read your post. THANKS - It totally put everything into perspective.
Bring on the day!!!!

:grouphug:

MAY THE JOY BE WITH YOU!! :hurray:

Oh Alta I'm going to miss you while I'm gone and your positivity and energy! I'll be itching for some upon my return!
Keep it up while I'm gone and we'll probably be close to the same weight again when I return. I'll be ready to work hard again with you!
You have been such a great support and friend over the past year and it was so fun to meet you - I contribute most of my success to your inspiration and motivation. Being here and meeting you has made all the difference. The picked the best career to help people everyday and you should be really proud of your choices and hard work!
Can't say it enough - love you girl! Keep pushing hard and working for it!! See you April 1st - take care!!:grouphug:

Hey Alta! Haven't seen you on for a bit and just wanted to let you know that we miss your face around here!

Hope things are great in your world!

Justina: :grouphug: Aww. I'm so glad that something I said, made you feel better. :D It's the truth, too. Just repeating those words to yourself at all times, makes all things get better. The more you say it too, the more you believe it. The more you believe it, the faster you see the opportunity masked inside an obstacle. :)

Derrick: You are right. I should definitely pick it up and read it. Not just talk about it. Haha! You are seriously disciplined right now, and it shows! Congrats to you, buddy!

Lisa: :grouphug: Girl, I love you too!! It's so AMAZING to know you! You inspire the heck out of me!! I'm lucky to have you in my life. Even if it is on a screen. I actually appreciate it more because I get to interact and read your thoughts daily. Notice how most real life friends don't ever get that close to us like it's through the screen? It's just easier here. :) Love having you... DiD I say that already ;)?

Tig: I miss ya too!! I've been lurking around. ;)! haha!

Decide. Commit. Succeed.

....and she continues BRINGING IT to her workouts!!! :hurray::cheers2: YEA!!!! Now if I could only say the same for my eating. I did great this whole weekend, except for :reddevil: tacos this weekend. Those muthafuckers were like 18 points when I looked it up after! Oh well. I decided to strap on TIGHT this week and kill it with my eating. I am re committing to weight watchers, and logging the points. That's what I get these past weeks. I was logging here and there on paper, and getting sloppy with counting. Back to strict. The only way until it's routine.

...I must say, though, I'm happy with my strength daily! I actually crave exercise! It's insane!!! Everyday I am fullfilling my goal of being able to write in the little calendar on my wall something physical activity. I should have added..sexercise on my rest day on Sunday. :smilielol5:! Shit. 2 hours worth, baby! Gotta count for something!

The trainer said this morning, that we are going to start really pushing HARD & INCREMENT more reps of everything! I think he sees the fire in my eyes when I workout! :biggrinjester: hahaha. I hope that's fire. I can see how sometimes it might translate into a "You are crazy look in my eyes, too." hahah!

So part of me BUCKING UP & GETTING SOME RESULTS FOR REAL GO AS FOLLOWS: (Things I wasn't doing before. You have to change what you are doing to get different results. So here goes)

1) Drink more water
2) Eat dinner before 7:00pm
3) Drink hot green tea
4) Take vitamins daily
5) Count the damn calories too, as well as points. :puke:
6) Exercise 6 days a week (with double workouts p90x &bootcamp-no fail those 6 days.)
7) Recovery shake after workout at night.
8) Eat carbs early before 3 pm.
9) Drinking only on special occassion days. Max 2 days a week.
10) Breakfast is the biggest meal of the day, and they get smaller as day goes.
11) Circuit workout routines daily. Those are what change the body fast. As well, as 2 weekly runs 3 miles and up weekly. I am doing one now, but I'd like to do two, maybe more
.

I tried a squash soup the other day :drool5: Damn! It was delicious! I can't wait to finish the veggies in my fridge before I allow myself to go buy more. I've been forcing myself to stay away from the market for these past days so that I can use the food in the fridge instead. I've been getting creative and healthy! Also, the trainer this morning had an extra red velvet sugar free cake and asked me if I wanted it so it didn't go to waste! $15 and I slice it into a million, and it has 120 cals per slice and 3 points. Those are big slices, half the way I slice them. So they are seperately wrapped in the freezer now. Each and every delicious slice! hahaha!

Exercise These past days:

Friday: Bootcamp-1 hr
(Left party early at night to come home at 11pm) to do workouts! Wow! p90x yoga -45 min - Don't you fuck'n quit on me, Tony said! LOL!
25 min. stationary bike
10 mins stability ball

Sat: Woke up @ 7:45 am. Went to the beach.
Did 30 min, killer circuit!! I'm getting better at making them up myself. I was drenched!! My friend didn't even want to do it with me, it was that tough last week.
2.5 mile beachside run.
3 sets of stairs (200 up/200 down) -legs were beat!

Sun: Rest- with bf- 2 hr sexercise ;) LOL!!

Mon: Skipped bootcamp- to sexercise again! ;) hahah! Damn. All this working out is doing wonders for endurance!
-felt guilty at night that I skipped p90x on Sat.
-p90x Kenp- 1hour & back to back
-p90x arms/chest/back- 1hr
-p90x Ab ripper x- 16 mins.
Tired! Drenched. Brought it! I'm getting so much better! I'm in the moment. Just PUSH! I still notice some fear in the body sometimes to over exert myself. The moment I notice it, fuck that. PUSH! Breaking barries here. Day by day.

Tues: 1 Hr bootcamp-
1 hour p90x plyometrics -shit load of jumping.
