Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

Hey Alta! How was your weekend? Ready to smash more pounds this week!! I was doing some squats in the bathroom this morning and thought of you! Hope your doing well and staying healthy!!:waving:

Morning guys!!! :D!! I've been doing GREAT!!! :D! Still very consistent!!! :jump: Working out daily, except for Sunday took a day off to spend with my honey. I had a couple emotional days this weekend where I found myself in tears and I made it through without turning to negative! I am taking it day by day! It's A-OK!!! :D! I am focusing on my business and really doing my best to change my life!! I am under pressure to not only SURVIVE, but THRIVE!!!

My points are on LOCK! My water is on point! My workouts are DOING THE DAMN thing! My focus and motivation are STELLLARRR! :D! Trainer even had me doing PULL UPS today!!! He did assist me, but FREAK these scabs on my hands are not cute!! That's KETTLE BALL for you!!

Thanks for all the support! :grouphug:!!! Working it!!!

My trainer bakes SUGAR FREE CAKES and I bought one for $15 and had a sliver of it today! 10 slices per cake-3pts each slice!! :beating: I have died and gone to heaven in my mouth!! :D!! That way I can have a slice daily, ALLOWED and included in points, and I can release the anxiety of wanting to eat and eat a HUGE portion when I see the Red VELVET cakes fly by me!!! This way, I am controlling my indulgence~!

I did lose 2 inches on my stomach!! Measured yesterday!!! :D!! Weigh in is Thursday! Will work hard until then!

The Secret-Daily Teachings-

When you look at yourself and feel dissatisfaction about any part of you, you will continue to attract feelings of dissatisfaction, because the law mirrors back to you exactly what you are holding inside.

Be in awe and wonder at the magnificence of you! (The Secret Daily Teachings)

Bringing Joy to Millions....

I assume your sugar free cake has some sort of artificial sweetener in it? Do you ever feel ill after eating stuff with that in? I've tried numerous times, but it's like it makes my blood sugar bottom out (though I don't know if it actually DOES - just feels like it) and I get all shaky, weak, and pukey feeling.

Hope you're having a good one!

Oh wow doll! Really? Well, I just had a slice. But no... it doesn't happen to me.

I think that might be best though that it does happen to you, cause you can stay away from the artificials! :D!

New Post today! :D!! :cheers2:! This was a pic of me this past Thurs night dancing girls night! :D! Glad I'm doing them pushups and pullups and kettle balls to build strong lean arms! :)

Thanks so much for the comments in my diary. I like what you said about being decided and planning. Its all part of it and goes a long way in the journey. It is so worth it. I am planning to take the Real Age test and hope to come out "younger"than my chronical age.

Alta
I swear I put a post to you somewhere and now I cant find it in my thread or yours. I wanted you to tell Ivette to get her sassy self back to the forum. I probably randomly posted it in the wrong thread...Havent quite got my badass postin skills back yet.

Okay tell Ivette I dug out her thread, dusted it off and left her a post on it. Maybe she will jump back into the cyber pool and start to swim back toward skinny town!

Wrote this to Christen in her dairy..but I think it belongs in mine too...: :)

That's the Attitude!!! :D!!! It is so easy to forget how great it feels to workout!!

It takes 21 days to make a habit! You have to remind yourself of that!! I'm glad that you are using the weekend to catch up on life! It can easily get overwhelming!
And I'm definitely glad that you are re evaluating your goals!! I'm telling you, every day I get better and better, about my time usage, about my thoughts, about my goals, about ME!! This morning even, I woke up 30 mins before I usually do and started meditating at 6:45 am! Read a page of a good book, and used my 25 before bootcamp to just "BE".

Life can be overwhelming! We need quiet time to just listen. Listen to our thoughts, our breathing, our body, our goals, our LIFE!!! I was so awakened by the experience of living life before the day started that I have vowed to myself to make it a ritual. I'm sure it's going to be hard to get up even that much earlier, BUT the rewards of doing a small task daily will outweigh the effort that it takes right now, throughout time! Think about, let's say I wake up 30 minutes earlier everyday to close my eyes, sit on the floor, think about my thoughts, dream, and just breath and be right... that means that in a month I will have given my mind the space to think of nothing and everything 144 hours in ONE YEAR!!! And if I increment that time to 1 hour, that would be 288 hours dedicated to your mind and figuring things out!!!! EVERYDAY!!!

Can you imagine!? A SLIGHT EDGE difference, can make an enormous shift in our life! The same with working out. If you do just 30 mins daily, in one year you will have done 144 hours of working out!!! Can you imagine how much better you will feel after COMMITTING TO YOURSELF that you are important enough to give yourself 30 mins a day! There are 24 hours in a day, and we CAN dedicate 30 mins!

I just finished reading a book called The Slight Edge. I've actually read it several times. Each time there has been a gap of 6 months to a year that I read it right. Each time I am different, each time I have advanced some, took some steps back, gone forward again,...but I always see, that the one thing in life that HOLDS ME BACK is daily discipline.

I sometimes feel like it's all or nothing with me too. Do it all, or do none. The reality is that small changes MATTER!!! Think about a golf player, how much does that 2 centimeters to the left or to the right impact the swing and the accuracy of the ball?!? Think about you with your volleyball, how much does hitting the ball 2 inches to the left versus 2 inches to the right really matter in whether or not you will make it to your target hit?? ...It's VERY important!! That small shift can make it great or make it less great or even completely miss!

...All I'm saying, is that the one thing that we have to realize is that SMALL SHIFTS IN BEHAVIOR MAKE HUGE SHIFTS IN OUR LIFE!!! It's time we allowed ourselves to reap the rewards of what the power of DICIPLINED CONSISTENCY on the small shift scale can really do for us!!!

5 years saving every nickel you see on the floor, and how many nickels do you think you would have at the end? Have you ever heard of people saying, "If I would have saved every nickel and penny I saw laying around! or If I would have been given a nickel every time I said that or heard that!"

Well.... Yes, ....what if, right?
And, what if you allow yourself to be better than you ever imagined because you appreciated what the power of a small daily shift can do for you?
Time will go on regardless... You can apply it to anything in life really...

-What will happen if you crack your nuckels every day over the period of 5 years?
-What will happen if you read 1 page of a good book that motivates you over the period of 5 years?
-What will happen if you take a 10 min walk with the dogs every day over the period of 5 years?
-What will happen if you go out one less time a month and put away to save those $25 dollars every month over the period of 5 years instead?
-What will happen if you tell yourself that you love yourself daily over the period of 5 years?

....If we think about it like this, it's really those small things that can either make or break our happiness! Tony Robbins yesterday was saying to me in my coaching online from his website, that "We all have a blueprint to success in our mind. It's instilled since childhood. The formula to unhappiness is when what we have is not aligning with our premade blueprint for what our lives in all areas "should be". Then he said, If we could all stop SHOULDING ON OURSELVES, AND SHOULDING ON OTHERS, then we would be all right! hahaha! I laughed..

But he's very right!! If something is not aligning to where we want it to be, all it takes is a small daily shift towards where you want to go. The immediate action taken towards those goals, alleviates some of the discomfort of not completely being aligned with them at the moment. That's why ACTION is so important! Action is like the asprin, that makes us feel so much better once taken! While taking it at first, the pain is still there,..but give it a little bit of time,...and the RELIEF settles in!!! :D!!

WE can do this!!! :biggrinjester: The daily slight EDGE!!! and BAM!!! WHO WILL YOU BE IN 5 YEARS~!?!?! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!! ;)!!!

Good Post Alta!! Love the motivation coming out of you these days! You must be feeling great too! Good luck at weigh-in tomorrow although I'm sure you don't need it!! Keep it up friend!!!:grouphug:

Weigh in!! Inches down!!! Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

Weight stayed the same, yet I'm HAPPY!!! :D! I was SUPER CONSISTENT, DILIGENT DAILY, WORKED OUT DAILY, ATE HEALTHY DAILY, COUNTED POINTS DAILY, DRANK TONS OF WATER DAILY, VITAMINS DAILY, TEA DAILY!...So I know I did my BEST! I left it all out there!!!

I did smash off:

-1" waist
-0" arms
-1.5" thighs
-1.25" bust
-1.8 hips

....not feeling bad about my arms not smashing down, because I see the composure of them changing! I'm feeling STRONG and INSPIRED to work hard this week!! Also, at the end of the week this week, I ended up with 56 or something unused Activity points, so this week, I am going to try to narrow in the gap, and feed myself more!!!

I remember years ago when I was consistently smashing for 8 months, it worked the same, ...one week down inches, and no pounds. Another week down pounds, and no inches. It was weird, but last week I had a big loss so I expected it this week, and smashed inches instead. :hurray:

Feels good!!:D! This morning in Bootcamp, I outworked this 23 year old Ex-tumbling gymnist! It really made me realize how far I have come!!

This is a BATTLE OF DISCIPLINE AND CONSISTENCY AND FAITH!! AND I WILL WIN!!!! :coolgleamA::cheers2: No number on the scale has the power to take away the GREAT feeling of COMMITTING TO MYSELF DAILY and giving MY BEST!!! :D! Leave it all out there!!! :D!! Gonna step it up MAJOR on the exercise outside of my 1 hour morning bootcamps this week! I did good but there is room for improvement! I plan to KILL it this week!!! :jump:!!! Whipping out p90x's this week! Last week I did some alternate workouts instead, like biking and walking and stair, stability ball. This week doing it ALLLLLL!!! :D!!! BoooooWOoWOOWOChiChchcaaaBOWOWOW!!!

You are so right Alta about the 30 minutes of every day committing to your goals. That small amount of time each and every day is so important. You are looking sensational my friend & as usual, inspiring me to keep moving, moving, moving! Sending you lots of love & hugs & kisses, xoxoxo Cate

Great photo of you! Looking beautiful as usual. ;) That's good news about losing inches this week. The 2nd and 3rd week into a reinvigorated effort can be tough I've found. Stick with it though and don't be surprised to see more pounds flying off in the upcoming weeks.

Nice work on the inches gone!! I bet your weigh-in next week will be another smashing result! Does your instructor actually call them kettle balls? We call them kettle bells here because they are a bell shape - are yours the same?
I wish we had ropes at our gym - I've always been interested in trying them after seeing them on the BL.
Have a great healthy weekend and keep it up Alta! I'm so excited for you right now and the inspiration is hitting so many people on here! Your the best girl! Take care and chat Monday!!:waving:
