In your videos you come across as very comfortable and confident as well as very approachable so whatever you have to say the audience will love you. I'm sure that you won't freeze but even if you did the audience would be sympathetic to you just because of the sort of person you are :)
Oh thanks!! I sure hope so. I mean what's the worst that could happen right?! They never ask me to teach one again...LOL!!

...then I'd just have to find my own groups to teach to! :D! ;) No worries right?!
 
You'll do great - I have no doubts! Wow that's quite the workout rollerblading 8 miles! GO ALTA! I tried rollerblading a couple times and really can't stop or go over bumps or cracks so pretty much flat fresh pavement is the only thing I feel comfortable on and you don't find that very often. It's a great leg workout though! Oh and keep it up and your bum will be hard as rock!!! Bounce a quarter off that thing!
So glad you are back to your positive self - things must be good in all aspects of life and I'm so happy for you! It's always hard to see a friend suffering when we just want the best for you!! Keep it up as always Alta!

The NEW PLAN will be to get up early and ROLLERBLADE a good 8 miles!!! I can do it if I wake up early enough. I realized that doing EXTRENEUOS exercise in the morning and me do NOT MIX! Once I'm started it's a different story, but just thinking about it makes me lie in bed. Not good. Changing the flow of my thoughts to FUN WORKOUT makes me want to get up!!! I love rollerblading and it's taking me back to a time in my life where I didn't think about working out and I just had fun!!!

That's what I want...the weight to fall off with me just having fun!! :D!!

Last night's episode of "Jillian's Losing it!" Was great!! LOVE, ADORE THAT WOMAN!! Did her Jillian Michaels 30 day shred Level 1 afterwards too!!

Positive news: Last week, Wed, I was 170lbs!!! :eek2:!! How the hell that happened, I have NO IDEA!? Actually,...alcohol happened.

TODAYL 162 lbs!! :party:!!! Woohoooo!!!! 8lbs DOWN!!!

wow Alta, just reading the stuff you get up to makes me want to get out there and speed along for 8 miles! It all seems in reach now that I am within say 20-25lbs of people like you!

You know what I've noticed helps me as well as doesn't help me sometimes...Ok example:

When I do videos for example, or when I am running,..or blading...or WHATEVER...when I think about my fat jiggling or bouncing or my rolls blinging here and there...I all of a sudden think... "Wait!! Slow down, Alta! A fat person can't do the things you are doing right now..that means you should go slower, because you are getting tired and you are fat. I mean your fat is shaking right?!!" Then...of course, I think that I can't hang with it, and I slow down instead of pushing myself like I know I could!

Yet,...on the other hand, when I think..."You are already an athlete!! You shake like this because this is the way the person you want to be shakes for it ALREADY!! Works hard!!! Fat jiggling would not EVER hold Lance Armstrong back! It would actually make them push harder to fight the fat off."

..All of a sudden...I feel like I can DO IT!!! :D!! I guess my reason for saying this, is that when you said,..."Like people like you.." I thought...."Babe, You are already like me!" and I am already like "them!" We just have to ACT like it already!

Hope that makes sense. LOL!!

I feel like such a SUCCESS!!! My client as well SMASHED 10lbs this week too!!! :cheers2:!!! :Angel_anim:!!

That makes me SO GRATEFUL and full of happiness :beating: because he has now smashed from 302 lbs to 282 lbs= 20 lbs smashed in 6 weeks & is RUNNNNNNNING NOW TOO, HIKING, SWIMMING, and COUNTING STEPS and EATING UNPROCESSED!!!! WOOHOOOO!!!

I really really LOVE each and every one of them!!! :beating:!! They INSPIRE ME!!!

What makes me feel REALLY GOOD is that weight loss is one of the hardest things to deal with as a Hypnotherapist as far as progress goes. It's one of the most emotionally based and routed issues that we deal with as well. There are tons of reasons for which people maintain to keep the weight on. We all know this, we are here and read and see so many different stories from people. It's amazing actually. But yes, because of it smashing weight takes a longer period of time wth the clients and repeated sessions. Things unravel along the way and the excess weight comes off. BUT, mind you they "say" :bigear: that the average percentage of weight loss "SUCCESS RATE" with clients is 10-15% percent range with weight loss!! That's SO SMALL!!!

So I got to thinking,...and switched the shoes around to WHAT WOULD I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN WEIGHT SMASHING THAT I COULD PROVIDE FOR MY CLIENT that isn't being provided that could actually aide my success rates compared to the averages?! Then OF COURSE, I thought of all of you. I thought of this FORUM and what it's provided to me throughout the past 2 years (wow! can't believe it's that long..LOL) and the CONTINUOUS SUPPORT!!! ....then I thought. Of course! ...Shit happens throughout the week as well. That's when we downward spiral. That's when it needs to be caught and turned around. That's what all of these other hypnotherapists haven't done. They haven't spent the last 2 years of their lives getting support online BECAUSE THIS SHIT IS HARD! I know that. I realize how easy or how hard this could be. How hard we can make it. The obstacles we can create and the obstacles and hurdles we can surpass!! Myself included. Who the fuck ever thought I'd run a 26.2 mile marathon one day!! Shit! Not me! ....but with SUPPORT ...I pushed myself beyond limits. I needed it!!!

That's what's not being provided with Hypnotherapy meetings one time a week. Daily support. Ahhhhh!!!! Very True!!! Most hypnotherapists, allow for the session and record the session sometimes and give to them to listen at night if in fact it applies for the issue. It depends. Then we sit and "hope" that through the hypnosis session and their conscious desire combined they "do" all the things that "WE DO HERE ON THIS SITE!" Count calories, write our shit out, vent, log it in, learn new methods, see it on a screen, and get SUPPORT from others on the things no one really wants to "LISTEN" to on the phone on a daily base. LOL....if you know what I mean. I mean, how many of us actually CALL someone and tell them our every snack, portion, calorie count, food content, emotional sensations at the thought of indulging it....ON THE EVERY DAY BASIS?!! :smilielol5:! It even sounds ridiculous saying. hahaha....I mean other than our spouses and partners right?! But do they really REALLY want to hear it?! OR are we imposing it on them!?!?! :smilielol5:!! hahahah..Yea...I thought so!! LOL ....for the most part at least. I will say there are quite a few exceptions though!

...So with all of my weight SMASHING ;) clients, I have created GOOGLE SPREADSHEETS that I tap into EVERYDAY (just like here/what I already do :blush5: LOL) and do the SAME for them!!! I give them some good hard "talks" as well, just as I do to myself on here. Sometimes, I find that their lives reflect and mirror my own at the time and the "talks" are often what I am going through at the same time!! The Laws of Attraction!!!! But yes,...so far, I've had like a good 5 steady "weight loss" clients that have either started and completed already or are still doing it...and they are all SUCCESSFUL!!! ....now I'm down to 1 steady one for "weight loss". I really dislike that word though and the feelings that come along with it for me. When I hear weight loss I think "HARD, PROBLEM, SUFFERING, DEPRIVING ONESELF, NOT FUN!" ...Versus I think weight SMASHING....I think of it as a GAME,...like HEHehe "Who can WIN THIS Little WAR?! I CAN SMASSSSH you!!!" ....and it seems FUN!! Go figure.

But yes,...that's what makes me feel good! That I care enough to go ABOVE and BEYOND out of my way to create for them a google spreadsheet that is very cool and has all kinds of columns and is interactive and FREE via internet and we can do the same thing that we do here (except I don't write my meals...LOL, I just focus on them). SO FAR, this has given me a 100% success rate so far!! Each and every one has smashed pounds, learned to run, done this and done that!!...which in turn MOTIVATES me and makes ME feel like a SUCCESS!!!! Damn RIGHT!! It's funny,...he actually mentioned to me today..."Alta, your comments in the spreadsheet, are REALLY effective!" hahah...and had this funny look! He said "Your words in person, and even on paper. I mean screen." That made me smile. I felt GOOD!!

I have 3 Clients lined up for SATURDAY "Alta's CLIENT APPRECIATION Day!!!" All PRO-BONO!! If in fact they want to continue with sessions...GREAT more $$ paying clients, if not....GREAT,...maybe I'll get referalls that will lead to more paying clients $$$,...and if not GREAT....I'm out there spreading the word and the feeling of hypnotherapy and it's benefits so that I can attract more paying clients!!! hahah.... Starting a ripple...:p!!!

That's great Alta. I go to WW but missed out on the day to day support so I set up a facebook page for our group but they rarely use it. I think that they are missing out on a great support system. That was why I came looking for a weight loss forum.
Also the leader is great at motivation but often gives incorrect info like the time she told people that they should be drinking at least 8 litres of water a day.:confused:
I joined this site just before I reached a bit of a plateau and being able to come here and read and write things was what got me through it.
Your patients?? clients?? are lucky to have you :D

Awww.. thanks!! Yea, eventually I would LOVE to incorporate local meetups for them as well. That way they can socialize and we can have wonderful healthy POT LUCKS and have speakers come to educate them on proper exercise, proper nutrition and what not. I know that some have wanted to join groups for beggining runners too!! That would be cool to put my own group together for my clients and who ever their freinds are that want to join as well! ..hey maybe I'll get more clients! LOL!..

...as far as information, I do provide my client with studies and facts that I find. BUTTTT I don't "push" anything on them, I just open their mind to "searching for the facts" that may serve them well for their particular situation. I do advise them I am not a nutritionist, nor am I a personal trainer. Far from it. I do advise them on unprocessed versus processed. I'm very vague as to the facts because I want to lead them in the right direction, not in my direction or what I have learned.

But...I do give the several suggestions on options, and DEFINITELY ask for a medical referral. :) For their safety and mine!

Down 2 MORE lbs this morning!!! 160 lbs!!!!! Woohooo!! I was 170 lbs on the 7th of this month and today is the 16th and I'm down 10 lbs!!!! YEA!!!!! :party:!! Talk about MOTIVATION for keeping up the workouts.

Food has been all made AT HOME, and UNPROCESSED, and SMALLER more FREQUENT PORTIONS with a few exceptions of eating out but ordering with brown rice and smaller portions!! I still include carbs, just whole wheat ones. :)

I got my Lyle Book!! I started reading like 3 chapters so far and he is talking about a state of Ketosis for the body. Reminded me of what I did a couple years ago. But this man is educated, and I am still going to do as I do until I can finish the book, and give his method a go for a little and see what happens! :)
