Couch POTATO to "MARATHON" HONEY! :)

OMG running is something i haven’t even contemplated in a long time but I’m looking forward to the day that i have the fitness level to be able to again.
OH hun...YOU should it's SOOOO beautiful when it's breezy outside and you are able to REALLLY appreciate NATURE and the Trees and the LEAVES and the FACT that we are GRACED with the TALENT to be able to GET our BUTTS out there! It really HAS changed me and now I find that it's not only about LOSING WEIGHT anymore but TO TAKE IT BACK TO BASICS...you know when you were a KID and PLAYING outside was FUN way better than STAYING HOME, and I realize as ADULTS we loose that OFTEN, and it's important TO be ABLE to ENJOY the FRUITS of Each and EVERY step we TAKE!!.....Sooo Soooorryy for the "SPEECH"....REally is BEAUTIFUL THOUGH!...I HOPE YOU START! :party:

As for me lately guys,....I've been trying to put my body into a STATE of KETOSIS....done the RESEARCH...read the pros read the cons....and I KNOW several people who HAVE TRANSFORMED their bodies in this way...so HERE GOES a SHOT! :gnorsi:

Sunday: 9 miles RUN at the park
Monday: OFF
Tuesday:4.5 mile RUN
Wednesday: 4.5 mile RUN.....

I feel SUPER guilty that RUNNING is all I HAVE been doing....I am going to try tonight to continue to incorporate the other workouts and the GYM....I DO need to take measurements and weight this FRIDAY!...MUST! :banghead:

FRIDAY will be three WEEKS...I'm gonna KICK myself If I haven't lost anything....cause there were all those CHEATING days BEFORE! :banghead:
 
Sorry to hear you strained a muscle. You need to take it easy. Maybe put some tiger balm on it and rub it out. Don't run if you are injured...you'll just make it worse.

Do you cross train on your days off? I typically run Tues and Thurs and then do my long runs on Saturday. On the off days I try to do weights and the elyptical machine. You gotta make sure you rest enough :)

What is a spark by the way? LOL

SPARKS....YUMMY...they are this DELICIOUS...can alcoholic drink that comes in LIGHT at the liquor stores and at 7-elevens they have little calories and GIVE you a nice HEADCHANGE....BADDD I know!...BUT they make my MOUTH water!!! Ahhhaaahhh :)

you are silly! drinking on the job? love it! haha anything to make the day go by faster right? I've never heard of Sparks. I'll have to check them out next time I shop.

YES.....I DID ;(....I only lost one FREEEKing LB the whole 3 or 4 weeks...I haven't measured myself, but since I had pulled a tendon I hurt and got really lazy and didn't work out these past 5 or 6 days....BAD!:reddevil:

HOw is that tendon by the way? Is it getting better?

1lb is a great loss but I know you would have liked more. Let me know if you find the secret to getting weight off quick. I'm struggling!!
 
Back TO LOOSING!

YOU know what is funny is that when I was doing the SHAKES and eating a chicken strip and TOFU every morning....I LOST 10lbs in 5 weeks...

THE minute I cut the SOY shakes out, getting the calories was soooo difficult and I didn't loose...so NOW I'm gonna test it again....and hopefully BACK TO LOSING quick!~:iagree:

HEYyyyyHEYyyyHEYY! THAT's COOL....YOU're right I should put BEFORES up....I'm scarred though!....NOT of what I look like....but of the FACT that I may not CHANGE!....EVEN though I am REALLY trying and WILL....it's just WHEN?....SHHHEEESS!~

Inches ARE better THAN LBS!

Okay.....HERE goes....I WAS sad about soooo LITTLE lbs lost this last month....1lb......but THE GOOD NEWS: MEASUREMENTS are IN:

3/17/08 (172lbs) 4/16/08 (166-167lbs)

--Waist-35.75 inch. *33.5"inches = 2.25" inches lost
(around BELLY BUTTON)

--Waist-38"inches *36.5"inches = 1.5" inches lost
(Lower waist around Appendix mark)

--Left Arm: 14" inches *13" inches = 1" inch inches lost
(middle from elbow up)

--Right Arm: 14" inches * 13" inches = 1" inch inches lost
(middle from elbow up)

--Right Leg: 25.5" inches *24" inches = Possibly 1" inches lost

--Left Leg: 25.5" inches *24" inches = possibly 1" inches lost

(I don't remember exactly where on the leg I had measured before and since the leg is a TUBE the higher or lower you go can really change the measurements, but at least lost .5in.....NOW I am measuring at the VERY TOP of my SCAR on my LEG)

All IN ALL......I DID LOOOOOOOOSE! WOOOOO WOOO! :party:

Great job on the inches lost! You can thank the running for that. Keep it up girlie!

I wish I had the will power to drink shakes but I just can't get myself to do it.

SO.....I have to tell YOU all that I am a HUGE fan of CELEBRITY BOOT CAMP, and I have the book from Dr. Harvey and the FAT SMASH :smash:

In the Fat Smash it says that the first DETOX phase where they LOSE The MOST....consists of ELIMINATING and SHOCKING your body by cutting OUT meats, chickens, fish, white carbs, potatoes, avocadoes, breads, & white rice.
:banghead:..IT IS THE HARDER PART>>>THEN ALL THE FOOD IS REINTRODUCED.

So what you can have is: 2 cups of whole wheat rice daily
2 cups of fat free/low fat milk daily
1 cup oatmeal daily
4 egg whites daily
Vegetables & Fruits (no canned though)
Protein: TOFU, Chick Peas aka..Garbanzo Beans,
Beans, and Lentils
Any SEASONINGS
2 Cups of HERBAL HOT tea daily
2 Water Unlimited (no sodas,alcohol,or juices)

So.....:svengo:....AFTER that what are YOU left with I told myself.....:drool5:

Since I like to drink shakes this is PERFECT

So I HAVE BEGAN JUICING in a SENSE:

Shakes are DELICIOUS: WATER, 3 scoops of VANILLA SOY PROTEIN POWDER,
ICE, Frozen Rasberries and Blueberries (5-8 lil ones)
1/3 banana, and sometimes 2 tablespoons of
Cinnamon Apple Sauce for Yummy flavor.......

So this as WELL AS MY HOT GREEN TEA...MY VITAMINS...AND MY LARGE CUPS OF WATER WITH LEMON JUICE 3x a DAY......and we're OFF:auto:

Yesterday at the GYM....One of the REGULARS who used to see me ALL the time when I was DEDICATED to going daily and 25lbs SLIMMER than NOW....walked up to me and told me it WAS A MIRACLE to see ME....(which REALLY I switched to another BALLYs just for this same reason...that I didn't want to RUN into them ALL...the DEDICATED ONES..):banghead:
....Because YES...I TOLD HIM....I DID... I FELL OFF THE BOAT...and ATE!!! :smilielol5:..THEN HE SAID HE almost DIDN"T RECOGNIZE ME...GRRR!!!....and said that I SHOULD HIT IT HARD WITH DEDICATION and I'll GET THERE!...then I told him if YOU didn't recognize me NOW shoulda seen ME B4 the 11 lbs I just lost.....HIS EYES BULGED OUT....GRRRR......HE"S SUPPPER BUFF TOO!

..AT FIRST it MADE me...LAUGH, then GET ANGRY, then GET SAD, then GET DETERMINED, and then GET MY HARDCORE CARDIO ON! I know that he was ONLY trying to be NICE and SAY hi or WHATEVER, and whatever feelings may have come after, HE IS RIGGGGGHHHTTT....I CAN DO THIS AND FASTER than last time....WITH HARDER WORK!...

So I DID....: EXERCISE for YESTERDAY:

4.5 MILE run at the PARK...still taking me 1hr (sweat-not as much as
incline walking at gym though)
30 min-INCLINE 15.0 TREADMILL (NO ARMS...and YOU SWEAT LIKE A PIG)
3.1-3.2 speed
30 min-Eliptical Running Machine with the Movable Handles-Fat Burn/
then I switch to Manuel and do Various Hard Spurts where I up
the resistance to level 8-12 for a couple min...

All in All= 2 hours of cardio :party:

I know that is always one of my fears...running into someone who knew me thinner...but hey, what the hell can you do? Hide in your room? haha

....YUP so ALLLL of this....is what I used to take when I lost a lot of weight before....so I figure WHY try to PAVE a NEW path...WHY not just TRAVEL down a tested and PRE PAVED road....so ON MY WAY I AM.....:gnorsi:
 
Go with whatcha KNOW!! I'm about to get crazy up in the weight loss biz too! I'm racking my brain on a quick extreme weight loss program that I can see quick results in a short time. I'll focus on the "big picture" lifestyle change nonsense later...in the meantime I'm struggling and I really need to get 10-15lbs off FAST. I don't care if its fat, water, or whateva...just need to shrink down.
