Ok, that big update didn't happen, but I do have some stuff to tell you guys. Exciting things.

I finally have a full time job! I've been looking since May (when I graduated) and FINALLY found something. Now, I will fully admit this hasn't been the best for my weight loss. There's been a lot of celebrating with friends and family, traveling for interviews, traveling for apartment hunting, etc. I haven't gained anything, but I haven't lost any either. I should move down there around March 1st and start my job the 14th. I'm trying really hard right now to keep things relatively under control, but it's a struggle. Things should calm down after I move though. I've already picked out a new gym to try and everything. Point is, I've been busy and probably will be for the next couple of weeks, but I hope that things will settle down pretty quickly now that all the kinks seem to have been worked out.

Hope you guys have been doing well.

:party::party::party: Congratulations!:party::party::party:

Keeping your weight under all the irregularities is a big win in my book.

Fantastic! Congratulations!
I'd say not gaining under those circumstances is a victory. Keep it up and you can get focused once you've settled in.

I hope the job and new place are great!

Congrats on the new job! I hate job-hunting, I know it's tough on the waistline of an emotional eater, so good job maintaining! Whatchu doing?

Oh,Cory. That's excellent news! Not gaining is a win too. Well done. It's great to see you excited & looking forward to the future sweetie xo

First of all, congratulations. GREAT news!!!

B) There is nothing wrong with not losing weight for a while, especially during times that involve you celebrating and enjoying life. There is NOTHING wrong with that. You wouldn't expect one of us to avoid cake on our wedding day, would you?

Nextly (I'm considering that a word by the way), I'm proud of you. Not just for the new job. Not just for not gaining weight while you celebrate. But, for keeping focused and maintaining a solid mentality in regards to your weight loss even while dealing with a huge change. I say that because you said this...

I've already picked out a new gym to try and everything.

Even through all of the change and excitement you managed to stay focused. GOOD FOR YOU.

Thanks for all the support and positive thoughts, guys! I think I'm going to need it. More stress has been added because I've decided to finally buy my own horse to take up there with me when I move. I've wanted to for a long time and it's a happy change, but still stressful. For those of you who asked, I'm going to be an engineer with a somewhat well known company that manufactues satellite parts and propulsion systems. I'm really excited. It is definitely a step in the right direction.

The weekend was kind of mixed. Friday wasn't too bad. I honestly can't remember what I ate, but I do remember thinking, "Huh, that went better than expected." Saturday was a mess. My mom wanted to do a celebration dinner, which I really appreciate and was delicious.....but, the celebration came in the form of a truly gigantic porterhouse steak and my favorite ice cream. I also drank some soda, so I have to start my count over. Yesterday was ok. The food I ate wasn't particularly good for me, but I didn't eat too much of it. I have no idea how today is going to go. I don't have any pre-prepared lunch and I know my brother wants to do dinner. That means I might be going out twice today. If that happens, I'll just have to try REALLY hard to behave myself and not go overboard.

:seeya:You're doing great! Especially with all the stress and celebration! ;)

Re: soda - Just start that streak again! Look at alllllll those days you "didn't" have the extra sugar and empty calories.
Way to go!:grouphug:

Yesterday was kind of a cluster fuck. It started out well. I did wind up going out for lunch and dinner, but had a Caesar salad and a bowl of french onion soup for lunch. Dinner screwed me though. My brother and I went out to a Mexican restaurant. There were tortilla chips and I ordered this enchilada plate with three chicken enchiladas and beans. Then I learned it was Margarita Monday and ordered one. Then we went back to his house and his roommate wanted me to try this chocolate stout. AND THEN we broke out a bag of peanut m&m's. Yikes. In total in was around 2900 calories. I actually maybe would have broken even if I hadn't had the alcohol.

Today is going a little better. I had oatmeal for breakfast and haven't had lunch. TOM came to visit and he alternates between making me ravenous and making me have no interest in food at all. I intended to have a salad for lunch today, bur I just don't want it. Not sure what's for dinner because i'm going to go ride horses and then eat at my parents' house.

When I first started here, I listed all my food, but got out of the habit after i'd gotten in the groove. Since i'm essentially starting over, I think that might be a good thing to do again.

I would agree with ya on going back to the routine that gave you progress and success before. ;)

I think everyone has had some sort of a cluster cluck lately.. :smilielol5:Hopefully it will pass for us all..lol

Hang in there sweetie!

Today is another day & you sure had something to celebrate! Well done, once again Cory :D

Oooh I would have crashed and burned at the Mexican place too. My mouth was watering just reading your post, and I just finished dinner!

edit: figured it out

Hey guys. Yesterday was good. I had:

Breakfast: Oatmeal with banana and cinnamon - 408 calories
Lunch: none
Dinner: pork tenderloin, potato salad, coleslaw, and a corn muffin - 974 calories
Total: 1382

I also burned about 400 calories walking. I usually try to eat just a little more total calories during the day, but not having lunch made that difficult. I tried to compensate with dinner, but I got full. Soda free again for 2 days!

Good job, Cory! :)
