Not a good day today at all. I need to post here more often too.

Tomorrow I will finish off the pinapple for breakfast (50). For lunch at about 10 I will have jello, 100 calorie pack and a sandwich (300). When I get home at 3 I will have some Yogurt (110). Afterwards I will go to the store and buy some stuff. At 5 I will have toast and soup (150). Finally at 7 I will have food :p I don't know yet, I have to get some stuff at the store.
 
Hey girl you are doing good i have missed you you will be fine if ya mess up dont beat yourself up over it you will be fine you have came a long way!
 
Run... hope things are going better now that the challenge is started. I know how hard it is to cut calories, it practically KILLS me. Have you had any time to workout even a little? Walk around your house for 20 minutes if that's all you can do! Navigating around the walls and being silly can be really fun (especially if you're laughing at yourself while you're doing it)!
 
Walking to me is boring. I'm a cross country runner... but I can't run. I broke my leg about a month ago :( They cleared me but then uncleared me a couple days ago when it started acting up again.
 
You run cross-country?! I ran in high school. I thought about running in college, but the coach was a slave driver. Too bad I got sick. I got this thing called polycystic ovarian syndrome, it causes an imbalance in hormones and makes you gain weight and makes it even harder to lose.

I know all about injuries and recovery from running, though. I ran so much my sophomore year that I got stress fractures in both of my heels. I just thought my feet were sore from my shoes, so i bought new ones and kept running. After a month I couldn't even walk on them. When I went and had x-rays turns out the stress fractures had cracked straight through both of my heel bones! While I was recovering I did a lot of upper body work, and resistance free lower body work (i.e. leg lifts, flutter kicks, scissor kicks, etc). Maybe refocusing areas and working on toning will help for now....?
 
I'VE BEEN BAD.

Well I've gained a lot and I'm at about 165-170. I'll weigh Next Wednesday. Until then, I need help keeping motivated.

So far my goals are to write down what I will be eating the day before in a notebook at to drink 64oz of water.

Please motivate me!

1) Dole Fruit Jello: 60
2) Pasta with chicken and broccoli: 270

and for the rest of the day I plan

(3 pm)Snack: 170
Yogurt: 100? (it's either 80, 90, or 100)
Toast: 70

(6:30-7?) Dinner:400
Lean Cuisine, Turkey: 270
Salad: 30
Banana: 100

Total: 1230
 
Alright, so a few things changed today.

Snack: 240
Yogurt: 100
Toast: 140 (doubled the amount)

Snack 2: 80
Apple: 80

(6:30-7?) Dinner:425
Lean Cuisine, Turkey: 270
Carrots + dip: 75
Apple: 80

Total 1405

I'll post for tomorrow in about an hour :)
 
Hi runforfun, thanks for stopping by my diary. Looks like you are back on track and you will lose those pounds in no time.

The great thing is that you are doing this while you are young...it's so important to be educated about food, calories, exercise, how they all interact with your body and your weight. You know what they say...knowledge is power.

I wish I had known at your age what I know now. Perhaps I would not have spent so many years overweight.

So you keep doing what you are doing, this is the most positive thing you can do for yourself. We will all be here for you. :)
 
band camp

Hey, I saw in your signature line something about band camp. I played drums for years and have a special place in my heart for members of marching bands! :) What do you play?

Heya, good luck starting again. I know how you feel having dieted and put the weight on several times in the past. Your food looks great and this time i know u can reach your goal!!! Keep up the good work and i hope you have a great day!!
 
Yeah, I'm so glad I'm getting this out of the way when I'm young. Hopefully I can make enough good changes to change it for a lifetime and remain healthy!

As for band, I play too many things. My main instrument is baritone (euphonium) but this year in marching band I will be playing marimba along with baritone. I'm in our indoor drumline where I also play xylophone (last year) and marimba (this year). I also played flute for two years. I know how to get by on almost every other instrument (scales and beginning songs). So I'm pretty much a band freak.

Thanks L-Jay! I'm excited to lose this. I love running. You should try it. It's definitely worth it. It takes away a lot of the stress. I haven't been able to run for about 6 months and today is the first day I can, so I'm pumped.
