karenk

Thanks jewls my ticker is now up and running yay

FISHY:D i know how hard it is down here i live in dunsborough and with allthe wineries and restaurants its torture. i still bother the waitresses with my insane orders and they go off muttering obsenities!!

To all those with the winter bugs i use colloidal silver in my water a couple of times a week it works wonders. its a natural antibiotic. try putting a drop in a saucer of milk and leave another without the drop out of the fridge for a few days and the treated one will not go off....strange but true.

well cheers to you all keep up the good work

Good morning everyone,
De De glad your feeling better
how many fish meals per week does everyone have ?
do you eat your fruit ?
do you eat all your crackers ?
does this effect our refeed if we cut them out ?
:) :) :) :) :)

Hi there

I have tuna for lunch maybe three times a week and prawns or fish or squid one or two dinners a week - it gives me a break at dinner from the constant steak or chicken breast!! I eat all my crackers and try to eat all my fruit but sometimes my afternoons get hectc and I forget. As I understand it, you are allowed to cut out the crackers after your first ten days.

karenk - I've quit my job and so we won't having any holidays anywhere other than to our place down south. it is going to be torture only ever ordering plain fish and always being the designated driver!:(

Colloidal Silver

I agree with Karenk: I also use colloidal silver. I usually have a couple of table spoons in filtered water twice a day. I also use it on my skin as it seems to have helped clear the bad acne i had!! I havent had it for a few days and i have noticed its coming back so i guess i have found my miricle. I recommend it to all as i dont think there are any contraindications except those with high silver levels in blood. Brilliant natural antiseptic/antibiotic. I will also use it on my new surgical cuts on knee and see if it heals quicker.

I was meant to go back on diet today but felt pretty ruff and i didnt look too flash when i got up. I will have to start tomorrow. Also off the diet i have found i am really bound up- took a slim tea and some liquerish tonight so i no doubt will get the desired result soon enuf. I cert realise now that this diet is right for me and that food in the real world is only doing harm to my body. Im going to be healthy from this and looking forward to it.

Hope all are getting on with their plans and getting results u want and so deserve. Will let u know as to how i go getting back to the routine! Water is my enemy and i want it to be my friend.

I can't get back that inspiration, and it's killing me because i know how good I felt......
I've been off Cohen's for 4 days, but it wasn't just little slips, it was one huge bingefest! My clothes are just as tight as before, and I had actually lost about 9 pounds, 4 kilos, and now I'm back where I started.
The worst is I don't want to be depressed about it, because that makes the diet harder, but I can't help it.... then I just get worse and worse!
I hope I didn't pay all that money for nothing, I want my life and my shape to look better! I want to be happy when I look in the mirror.....

Hey guys, just checkin' in.

Am finally getting over my cold, which is good.

I read what someone said about colloidal silver, if you're considering using it, please read

Hope everyone's well.

asy :D

Hi everyone, haven't had much time to post lately and anyway there's not been much change in my stat's unfortunately:eek: Haven't really been very motivated but have promised myself that it's about to take a turn for the better and will concentrate really well over this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I need all the help I can get at the moment.

My little granddaughter had her new dog stolen weekend before last and then last sunday my daughters handbag with everything in it was taken from her kitchen with everything in it, new phone, diary, glasses just everything, so with all the ringing up to cancel things and reports to police etc there hasn't been much time to concentrate on diet. Hopefully I'm now back on track.

Will have to change my ticker to read end of year at the rate I'm going.:(

The rest of you seem to be going well and I hope you all keep it up over the weekend.
Bye for now.:D

Dovorah-

Just keep going, you'll be fine! Just remember how good it was when you lost those kilos and surely the motivation should kick back in.. Dont be depressed about your size, its probablly the worst thing that you could do at this present time. Just keep on going! Think of the feeling at the end.

Just my 2c worth :) Take Care.

checking in

Hi all,

i cant sleep tonight, too much on my mind. Its strange for me because usually when i've got something to think over ,i go to sleep and when i wake up i have a solution to whatever is bothering me.

I'm going to bable on but maybe it'll help me get some resolution. where do i start.

Well firstly i guess as this is a cohens forum i'll just have a quick complain.I'm finding it REALLY difficult to focus and stay motivated. It just feels like these last few kilos are taking forever to come off. I've been loosing very slowely and i need some advice on what to do.I'm getting frustrated and irritated and i'm sure i'm not the nicest person to be around.

Secondly i'm worried that there is something sinister going on with my ovaries.I've got PCOS and i havent had my period since mid may. I'm not on the pill but i took a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago which came up negative but i'm going to have to do another one,i have a Dr's appointment in 3 weeks time i think i might bring it forward. Has anyone else's period gone haywire?

Thirdly i'm really sad that tomorrow my family dog who has been such a precious part of my life for the past 16 years will be put down. He's very weak and is now practically imobile. He lives with my mum and i wont even get to say goodbye because i have to work-and there is NO WAY i can get out of it as i'm delivering a speech to my workplace about setting goals and reaching them and about motivation(would help if i felt a bit better) which brings me to my next point about tomorrow ithink i'm procrastinating big time but its hard to write a speech when at this current point in time, motivation is what i lack

spose i need to just take one step a a time

hope everyone is going ok.

Sorry to be a drag i'm usually much more positive and upbeat but i just cant get my act together

Hey all, seems alot has been going on for alot of us this week eh? As for me, i'm anxiously awaiting my exam results, so its REALLY frustrating everytime i check online and there's no sign of it as promised. PLUS my weight loss has been so stagnant! Any tips to revive it?

Devorah, i think you are losing your focus and so, you need to sit down and think about how much happier you will be with that excess weight off. Food will come and go, but not your life. Also, you need to enlist all the support you can from those close to you, to help you keep off other food. It works for alot of people to have their loved ones admonish them when they contemplate a choc or something. It's time to get back on the good ol` wagon sweets, just do it!

Gayegal, WOW, a dog and a handbag stolen right from the kitchen?? That's awful! Hope you get the dog back at the very least. Is the crime rate really that bad as i perceive it to be?

Netski, i know it's been a triple whammy for you. But at least you are aware that to tackle these problems, you have to do it one at a time. As for your stagnant weight loss, have you tired varying your meals/having fish for all 3 meals/cutting out salt/drinking extra water, etc etc? It might work and no harm trying! Just stick to it, you've come sooo far, just remember all that extra kilos flying off and sticking to some skinny ass ;)
As for your period, im not in any position to say anything as my period has been fine so far. You can always check with your doctor on your appointment.
My heart really goes out for you and your dog. I too used to have a sweet dog which had to be put down also, due to its old age and inability to relieve himself. But i consoled myself that i would prefer him not to suffer than to gratify myself and let him live on with his fragile life. It's a huge step, but its our dogs best interest before our own feelings. Remember, he may be gone, but his memories will really live on forever.

Hope you work thorugh it soon enough, our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Well, gotta go start work, have a good day guys!

Rt.

Another 6kg gone!

Hi all! Sorry, no time to reply to everyone...busy, busy, busy! But I had my 5 month weigh-in and blood test yesterday and I wanted to update my ticker and share my ongoing success with you all. I lost 6kg in the last month - not as much as I hoped for (I really wanted to break into the 70's), but still, no 6kg is 6 kg - got to be happy with that! :D Stay positive people!

Does anyone find recuperation from sickness is slower when you are in Cohen? I not sure whether it is due to the diet or the flu virus is getting stronger. I am recovering slower than usual. Yesterday my mum made me deviate from the diet 'coz she hopes that the extra calories will help me recover faster. I had additional protein (cooked in non-cohen style) and additional fruits for dinner. I even have 4 cookies as dessert!!! *feeling guilty* I also took the cough syrup which contain honey.

Today, my cough is getting better. It is still bad but not as bad as yesterday.

I will not deny that I enjoyed last night deviation. My body was ok with the sudden surge in carbs but I do felt very stuffed after eating. Anyway, I have decided that last night is a one-time only. Tonight I am going to see the doctor (again for the 3rd time!!) about my cough and flu. Hopefully its the last time!!!!

I will NOT weigh myself until late August. That way, I will not be discouraged with the gain due to last night indulgence.

newbie

Hello

Introducing myself as a possible newbie, I had my first consult a a clinic today and am deciding to do the program. I have 15 kilos to lose but have tried every diet under the sun. I'm trying to convince myself I can do this, it's different and I can stick to it. I'm anxious !! Macca

Get back on track

HI all. It was the plan to get back on track today after surgery monday but i havent been too interested. I slept til 12 noon and had yoghurt- natural. I then got up showered went to local shopping centre, grabbed a diet coke cos it was so stuffy in there, spent $200 on new clothes, came home all hyped for looking not too bad ( i have put on 4kg since last Saturday as was off diet for op) and then i felt all yuck (dizzy and ughh) so i grabbed a few dorito's from mum and that just ruined it. I am not gunna have anything else im not meant to but it does put a bad taste in mouth that i didnt stay in line. Oh well, i can still use the excuse of surgery till Sunday (will be seven days post off diet) so i am going to try really hard to maintain diet.

The clothes i bort all fit me and i was tempted to buy smaller ones so later i can just put them on instead of having to repurchase smaller ones. They are also really nice so i kinda am itching to go change them for smaller ones. How has other ppl dealt with this issue??? I got size 14 3/4 jeans and they fitted perfect but i doubt they will be fitting in 4wks. What should i do?? I dont know. I thort losing weight is supposed to be easy and happy time- not stressfull and time consuming.

Oh well, back to the drawing board. Im gunna beat this no matter what!!!

Dee

Macca - welcome to the forum and don't be anxious this program really works and work well. I lost 12kgs in my first month but i also have 4 times to loss tha what you do. 15kgs should be a snap for you but it will take sometime as your body works hard to get its metabolic balance right. I highly recommend this program, so just go for it girl, you want be sorry you did especially now as summer is just aound the corner.
Less of me - Congratulations on the loss of another 6kgs. You are still my inspiration so well done to you.
Neski - My heart goes out to you. I have also had irregular cycles before (pre children) and now since being on cohens. If you are really concerned go and see your doctor earlier but it should sort itself out because your body is going through so many changes at the moment. I' sorry to hear about your dog, i really know what it is like to put an animal down i have done it twice and it is not easy, so my heart goes out to you but do know that you are doing the best for your dog but that doesn't take away the pain- i give you a hug and just know i'm thinking of you. Please keep you chin up life will get better, even with your weight loss.
BAM - have you started your program yet?

Well keep up your spirits (give yourself a reward even for a small thing), drink lots of water and get some good sleep happening.

Cheers Jewls

HI all, I had my 4 week weigh in and blood test on wednesday, I have lost 12kg.I dont think anyone has noticed the loss yet, but my best friend said because I wear such baggy clothes its very hard to notice but she can notice it in my face. Most of my weight has been lost off my bust, that doesnt bother me but I really want to loose it off my stomach and hips! I am really worried my loss is going to slow down now, my consultant said that it may not and I could even lose another 10 kg in my second month! I am finding some days killers and other days so easy. When I read all the wonderful posts it motivates me so much. Keep up the good work all and good luck , we will all succeed at what we want to achieve

Focus on the Goal!
